Advantages: No problems with connection
Disadvantages: None

...I used modems supplied my my internet service provider and experienced problems with connectivity and drop out. In the end I got so sick of phoning the ISPs to report problems to be given the same twaddle (updating drivers etc.) that I went into my local branch of PC World and asked for their recommendation. The Netgear DG834G was the salesman's recommendation. It cost £50 and has been one of the better purchases I have made. My desk top PC and now my son's laptop use the same router and the wireless signal has never failed. We do not suffer from connectivity issues and trust the routers security to protect us from freeloaders and hackers. I would personally recommend this router type over those supplied by service providers....

dyson dc24 not as good as i would have thought

Advantages: small, good for small spaces, easy to store
Disadvantages: suction not up to par

...I purchased this dyson having owned a dyson for many years, and then my new puppy decided to chew any chewable parts that it had, so opted to buy a new one. Now initially my mum had went and bought me a miele hoover, which was not an upright or bagless but the suction is apparantly superior, but i prefer an upright and when i tried to vacuum my rugs with the miele, i decided an upright would be the less physically demanding cleaner for me, which is always important to a busy mum and housewife. I searched the net and found one on cdiscount for £179.99 which was on offer at the time, so i went ahead and bought it and looked forward to receiving it. I chose this one instead of the dc24 as i have a lot of stairs in my house and the smaller size appealled to me as not being as heavy as a larger one, would be easier to take around...

...Season 5 of the award winning series 24, was first aired back in 2006 and was mostly known for its shocking and explosive first episode. When mini trailers of hour 1 went around sky, i tried to switch over every time but to no avail, i caught something and i was hooked in. Normally id prefer to watch the episodes on dvd so i can watch as many as i like but my girlfriend at the time had sky plus so she recorded the whole series. After getting through 9 hours of it we broke up, not anything to do with 24 don' worry, therefore i had seen nearly half of the series and then had to wait for the dvd release to continue watching. Only once have i done this, never again. Wait for the dvd, its worth it. Anyway, this season is one of my favourites as it doesnt hold back on the storylines and shock factor plus provides probably the best ending so...

24: Redemption

...Before I start this review I just need to get one thing off my chest, Jack Bauer is my hero! I've watched every series of 24 so far and have loved each one (some more than others) so when I heard that there was going to be a 'film' I couldn't be more excited. 24 : Redemption is a bridge between the events of series six and series seven. The producers/writers felt that this was necessary to fill the huge gap between series due to the recent writers strike. 24 is normally set out in one hour episodes which are shown in 'real time', that is, one hour long episode represents one hour of the shows storyline. Its an interesting concept that really does work very well. I met the news of 24 : Redemption with interest, excitement, intrigue but also apprehension. How well would this idea work as a 'film'? Always a Netgear

Advantages: Everything!

...I have owned this Modem / Router for about 2 years now, and i can honestly say, i have not needed to touch the thing since i set it up when i bought it! It's been sat on the floor behind my desk for as long as i have owned it, Being an AOL user, i was recommended this router becasue of it's easy set up. (AOL Customer care is useless), But i managed it flawlessly, the wireless range is impressive, on my laptop, the signal strength is Excellent/Very Good everywhere in my house, and it remains Good in my garden (about 20 meters from it!), I have never had to reset the router because of wireless problems. I would never replace it with any other brand, if this one decides it's had enough, i will definatly get another netgear router. Hope this helps....

...Ahhh the netgear DG834G, my first router and still my current router! I have had this router for over 2 years now and it works fine still! The hardest part ever whilst using it was the installation! We actually had to ask a computer programmer, our neighbour, to come round and install it for us! It was that confusing! Depending on where it is located, it gives different signal strenghts, sometimes i dont get signal in my bedroom; but if i move the router around a little bit i get signal! But this can also be due to electronic interference! The connection speed is great with a maximum speed of 54 Megabytes Per Second, which is a great speed for my needs! It connects all the phones, playstations and laptops in our house without trouble so it is good enough for me!!! So if you are a first time router purchaser, this one is great!!...

24 - Season One

Disadvantages: Not really 24 hours! Slower paced than newer seasons

...I'd somehow managed to completely avoid watching a single episode of 24 right up to the current season (7). I'd seen the adverts but it was completely not my thing. I hate movies like that, and I hate TV shows along the same lines even more. For some reason I decided to give season 7 a go as so many people were looking forward to it coming back on - and, much to my annoyance, I got completely hooked and ended up buying all the boxsets so I could catch up. I ended up watching the entire set of season one in two days. It is completely, ridiculously, compulsive. About half way through every episode I would be fed up with having not moved in so long and would want to go and do something else, but then by the end of the episode my thoughts would change to, "Well...one more won't hurt."
