...Thinking about visiting The Hague? Well, let me tell you a little bit about this fair city. Having lived in Den Haag (as the locals call it) for about 4 months, this is what I discovered. Right let's get the specifics out of the way first The Hague is the third biggest city in The Netherlands (after Amsterdam and Rotterdam). It's conveniently located in between the two larger cities, which makes it an ideal place to begin your Dutch adventure. The Hague has a population of about half a million people, so it?s not a big city by world standards. In fact, as well as having a small population it?s also quite small in area. On safari in deepest, darkest Holland

Advantages: Great range of well cared for animals

...I would just like to write a review on Jools Holland Best of Friends, a CD with a DVD bonus pack on the king of rhythm and blues. We all know of him from his specials at New Year, along with the numerous shows that he does during the year. ...If you enjoy exploring natural or homeopathic remedies, how they work and what they contain then Holland and Barrett is the place for you. I often pay them a visit, the sales assistants are pretty genned up on the stores products and more often than not if you give them some background information then one of the staff will be able to point you in the right direction. I will be the first to agree with anyone who says that natural healing doesn`t come cheap but it far outweighs having to take prescribed medicine if it is something that you can easily and safely treat yourself. Naturally if there are any concerns at all then you should always visit your own GP. Our problem is that the Other Half is very fair skinned and every year without fail as soon as the British summer sun starts to shine he develops patches of pink scaly skin...

I Didn't Want to Leave Lovely Holland House

Advantages: Comfortable, clean, not far from station or city centre. Very high standard of rooms.
Disadvantages: Poor TV reception, terrible tea at breakfast!

...The Mercure chain owns two hotels in Bristol. One is the Brigstow in Welsh Back, a busy area for nightlife right beside the river. The second is the Holland House Hotel and Spa, only five minutes walk from the Brigstow but in a quieter spot on Redcliffe Hill. Choosing the quieter option, I stayed for a Saturday night at the four star Holland House in July 2009. First Impressions After travelling by train, I had a walk of around seven minutes from Bristol Temple Meads station to Holland House. Be aware if you are taking your car the hotel enforces a parking charge of £10 per 24 hours. This is quite expensive in my opinion and would add substantially to your final bill if you were staying a few nights. Check-in is after 2pm., and on showing my confirmation letter to the receptionist I was dealt with very politely...

Holland and Barrett...It's worth a look

Advantages: They pay my wages and sell some pretty cool stuff

...I have been working in a Holland and Barrett shop for the last five months, so I am very aware of the advantages and disadvantages of the shop. If you don't know much about Holland and Barrett, or have never been to one of their shops, it's definately worth a look, even if it is just out of curiosity! Holland and Barret have a large chain of health food shops around the UK, and they are not only found in major cities, but in smaller towns too, so chances are you have one near you. The produce they sell ranges from vitamin supplements, to diet and vegan foods, to special ingredients and essential oils which you might struggle to find elsewhere. Holland & Barrett Aloe Vera Gel

Disadvantages: Burns and tightens the skin

...After having laser treatment for rosacea I was told I had to buy Aloe Vera Gel. At the time, I bought Sk:n aloe vera gel as it was recommended by the clinic I went to. It was extremely calming and soothing. As it cost £7.50 for a 100ml tube, I wanted to find it a little cheaper. I saw the aloe vera gel on the Holland & Barrett website for £2.99 which is considerably cheaper and the aloe vera content was 99.9%, which was slightly higher than the content of the Sk:n version which is 98%. This made me think the Holland &Barrett version would work better. Within minutes of applying the Holland & Barrett aloe vera gel my skin felt extremely tight and there was a horrible burning sensation. I immediately had to remove the gel and then reapplied the Sk:n gel which eventually calmed my skin. I would never recommend the Holland & Barrett...

...The Netherlands Euro 2008 Team have arguably been the best team in the competition. The only team that seems to be anywhere close to them is Spain (or maybe Croatia). Holland have won all 3 of their games in the 'group of death' and even beat Romania with 9 players resting. But what make Holland stand out from the rest is the way they have won their games.
