...Hardly exciting is it network cable. The only thing that really intersts me about network cable is the things that come along it at high speed to my computer. Considering that the function of the network cable is to get porno, arriving from the internet via my boradband router, to my computer screen as fast as possible, it is quite an important item. Most people just go for the cheapest, which is a shame considering how much is spent on an broadband connection over a year. According to the BT engineer that came to fix my broadband 90% of the total signal loss goes in the last 100 meters. If you loose too much of your signal then this has a massive effect on the speed of your connection. What I am saying here is that skimping on cables is really a false economy if you are paying over £200 a year for a broadband connection then...

Advantages: Improves the graphical quality of games, Cheaper than the official cable.

...I recently bought a Belkin wireless adaptor when I went into a house share and needed to have the internet. I use the internet but I know little about the technical side of things. I paid £19.99 for the adaptor in PC world who only had Belkin at the time which I thought was not expensive. However installing it was a nightmare. The 3 easy steps on the box seemed so easy; Install the software, plug the adaptor into a USB PORT - start networking! If only it was that simple. Every time my computer searched for a network it crashed. I phoned the Belkin company who took me step by step through the technical part and still we could not get internet. ...The Nintendo Wii component video cable really is a sound investment if you are the owner of an HD/ LCD TV, and obviously a nintendo Wii. Before i bought it, i had trouble with the picture quality and contrast on many of the games. Games such as Wii Sports were fine, but more of the action/adventure games such as Zelda or Splinter Cell give a very dark picture which can sometimes be hard to make out what was happening. The only way i could combat this problem was to adjust the contrast on my television which did help, but was alot of hassle. With the component cable, the picture is not only much brighter, but much sharper and defined.
