...This is a very tasty, somewhat hoppy pale ale from the Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. in the USA. It is the most popular beer produced by the brewery. I bought a couple of bottles from my local Morrisons as they seem to have a nice selection of different beers there that aren't available elsewhere. I paid about £1.50 each for a couple of small 350ml stubby bottles. It is 5.6% Alc. There is a thin layer of sediment in the bottle due to the beer being bottle conditioned. Bottle conditioned beers are generally of a much better quality than comercial beers which are filtered, force carbonated and contain no live yeast. This sediment is actually live yeast, so you could use it for home brewing if you wanted, I do. But otherwise you can just swirl this into the beer before pouring and it adds to the flavour. Advantages: Good looking, fast and reliable, good price, value for money
Disadvantages: not much of a tourer not comfy, addictive!

They come as standard with metzlar tyres, which are satisfactory and then some, and numerous suprises which i will come to later. The first thing that got me about this bike was the looks, it's tasty, and also, almost perfectly symetreical, they even added an extra horn, so that it would be symetrical, and this give your a good loud horn as well. Sierra Nevada, Andalucia, Spain.

Advantages: Warm sun and snow in January and February. Price over others in Europe.
Disadvantages: Lack of snow in April. Not enough ski area. Not testing skiing.

...The Sol y Nieve (sun and snow) resort is situated about 40 minutes drive from Granada and 2.5 hours from Malaga airport. The Sierra Nevada mountain range is high (3470m), which it needs to be considering its position in Europe. It has the most southerly ski slopes in Western Europe and the sunniest. It is an easy drive on a good toll-free motorway in a hire car and is well signposted when you reach the outskirts of Granada. Granada has a small airport. The resort itself is quite small compared to most in France and Switzerland and there are only about 3 good hotels, although most people use the multitude of apartments, or stay in Granada overnight. Want To Do A Deal Tosh?

My Little Brucey Bonus

...Have you ever won anything on the Radio? I had been considering asking for a DAB radio for Christmas as I quite fancied being able to listen to digital stations such as BBC 6 and 7. Luckily I did not have to wait as I won the star prize on Ken Bruce's Popmaster music quiz on Radio 2 which was a Nevada ND 01 portable DAB radio. I am really pleased with my freebie. It is a quality device being voted Best handheld radio in What Hi Fi magazine's awards last year. It looks classy as it is metallic white with a large blue backlit screen and only five buttons and switches to give it a streamlined minimalist look. A Circular Tour With California

Advantages: Great place if you like desrts and heat. Good as part of a circular tour with CA
Disadvantages: A lot of driving. Nowhere is very near anywhere else

...One of our fly-drive holidays to California also took in some of Nevada. Setting out from San Francisco, we headed inland via Sacramento, the state capital of CA, staying long enough to visit the Transport Museum - if you think some of the locomotives in York Musuem are big, you should see these! Pressing on over the Donner Pass, scene of that tragic over-wintering by the trapped Donner party on their way west, we entered Nevada and stayed at Reno overnight. As the sign over the road says, The Greatest Little City in the World". It certainly doesn't take its role as casino town too seriously compared with Las Vegas, but more of that later. Viva....Viva...Las Vegas.

Advantages: Great way to lose money

...Im off to Las Vegas in 11 weeks time on honeymoon. I cant wait. We have both been looking forward to the first leg of our honeymoon for some time and it has always been a dream of mine to experience the state of Nevada. Las Vegas is not the only home to Casinos and posh hotels in the middle of the desert state. Nearby Reno is full of the same sort of thing. It may not be as famous or as developed but appartently its a growing city with plenty to do. Another casino town is Laughlin. It to is growning fast and has a rich history as the Boomtown on Nevada. Here there are plenty of cultural pursuits such as Riding, Fishing, Golfing and Watersports. You must also remember the national parking in the state. The Grand Canyon runs through it and a flight or bus journey there for the day may cost up to £150 but it is well worth it so I...

...Until quite recently, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale was one of those beers that I'd heard good things about but had never managed to find. So imagine my delight when a local supermarket began stocking it last year. I know, I'm easy pleased. Actually, although I am relatively easy-to-please, in an undemanding, who-gives-a-fnck-anyway sort-of-a-way, I do take my beer seriously. Well, not exactly seriously, it's just beer after all, but I much prefer to drink one or two quality beers than chugging down six-packs of burp-juice.
