...My husband and I stayed a the Hudson during September 2008, on my first trip to the states. We were away for 2 weeks, of which 5 nights were spent at the Hudson. This meant that we could compare this hotel to several others in the US, including one other in New York. Generally, the Hudson came out of this very well! We booked the Hudson online, through hotels.com, a procedure which was nice and simple and allowed us to look at several different hotels before making our choice. We were initially attracted to the Hudson because of it's easily accessible location and because the pictures we found on the internet made it look unlike anywhere we had stayed before! Happening Hudson

Disadvantages: Small rooms and ambivalent staff

...The Hudson is part of a chain of boutique hotels including the Sanderson in London and three other properties in New York. Infamous for small rooms and snooty staff the hotel claims to offer value for money chic for a trendy young crowd with money to spend but not to waste. After spotting a special offer on the web it sounded an interesting place for a short break in the Big Apple. New York, New York

Advantages: Trendy, Great location, Great Bars

...Well, this was my first trip to New York , and to say i was excited was an understatement. i was booking this trip for my boyfriends birthday. I was recommended two hotels by my travel agent, and researched them on the web, and this seemed the more expensive but the better try. It is located very close to Central park, and a short stroll from Times Square - so after staying there - a great location for exploring the upper section of NY, but not for downtown, howver get on the subway, cheap and an experience. The entrance is minimilistic - well our cab drive almost missed it. in true NY style, you have to go up one floor to get to reception. Aussie David Hudson Updates Didge Music

Advantages: strange, often beautiful music
Disadvantages: sometimes irritating

...Music reviews are always nerve-wracking for me, but never so much as this one that is a compilation of Australian David Hudson's indigenous-inspired music, ten of his favorite selections from seven of his twenty-six albums. I've never heard such strange music! I'm sure an Australian could do a much better job than I will, but there were no reviews found on the Internet and I shall take the opportunity since a friend loaned me Bedarra with David Hudson and Friends: A Compilation of Didgeridoo Works, released in 2000. Hudson's website gives the most information on his partly traditional/partly contemporary music as well as his creative rock art. ...This was my 14th visit to New York and my second stay in the Hudson hotel. Since I had gone to Australia for 2 weeks last year I didn't have enough holiday left to fit in another trip so I thought it would be wise to slip in a visit this year before I start my new job. Location We flew BA to JFK airport, a 7 hour 35 minute trip getting us into JFK in the early evening - the best way, I find, so you can stay up late to try and counter the effects of jet-lag (NY is 5 hours behind so the first day is rather a long one). The Hotel is on west 58th street which is at the bottom left corner of Central Park, handy for the subway station (red train line number 1 runs north to south & I find this covers most locations for shopping, eating, drinking if you don't mind walking across a few blocks and don't understand/want to get lost...

Fisher Price Shake and Go Doc Hudson Pixar Cars

...This is one of Mattel's motorised Shake and Go toys from the Pixar CGI film "Cars" which are released under the Fisher Price banner. The film is incredibly popular with children of all ages and the merchandise is still selling well years after the film was released in the cinema. This toy in particular is Doc Hudson, a former racing car who is now the town doctor and judge in Radiator Springs, the town in which most of the film is set. The toy has a reasonably good likeness to the character from the film. However, like the other toys in this line, it is stylised, presumably to accommodate the mechanism inside.
