...New moon is the second of the 4 books in Stephanie Meyers "twilight" series. After having reviewed the first book, I thought I would review the second, as I am in the process of reading through the series, yet again. I would like to say this review will not contain any spoilers, I will try my best to not give too much away, but it's hard not to mention anything about it. In New Moon we join Bella (a 17 year old girl) and Edward Cullen (108 year old vampire) in the month of September after a blissful summer they have spent together after the end of the first book. At Bella's birthday party, she gets a paper cut and the results cement in Edwards mind that Bella would be better off and safer not sharing her life with a family of vampires who attempt to resist human blood and so the Cullen's leave town. New Moon - New Chapter - New Highs?

Advantages: Sombre Atmosphere, some captivating moments
Disadvantages: Too long, lack of substantial plot

...expecting to be given a little catch up at the beginning of the film and to be fair there are a few flashbacks however these tell the audience nothing about what has previously happened. Therefore if you?re planning on watching this you really should watch Twilight first. The special features seem to have come on leaps and bounds since the first film. There were scenes in the first film that were merely laughable whereas New Moon seems to have raised the bar significantly. Everything looks fantastic from the super-sized werewolves to the flying vampires. It would appear however that what this film makes up for in impressive special effects it lacks in storyline. Nothing really happens in this film and people that have seen it will surely agree with me. I haven?t read any of the Twilight books therefore am unable to make any sort...

New moon, new story?

Advantages: Very wel developed characters
Disadvantages: Quite slow to start, too obviously going to be a sequel

...Having read Twilight by Stephanie Meyer and really enjoying it, I decided to give New Moon, the second of her 4-book series, a go. As with the Twilight book, the cover is very attractive. On this book is a wilting flower, with beautiful red, white and pink petals, set against matt black. The back cover didn't give away too much this time (for anyone who didn't read my review of Twilight, it did and this irritated me), but it didn't disclose any important secrets, or in fact much of the story. New Moon is just under 500 pages. It doesn't feel like a long book when you're reading it which I feel shows how much of a riveting read it is. I know that these books are mainly aimed at teenagers, and had the books not become fashionable reads I would have expected the sheer number of pages to put off some (this is based on my knowing...

Advantages: Suitable for everyone, good story and excellent acting

...As you may or may not (depending on the reading of my previous reviews) know that I have a slight infactuation with the Twilight Saga by Stephanie Mayer. Last friday I went to see the second installment movie adaptation by Chris Weitz and I was incredibly impressed. Disadvantages: edward is gone for a long amount of time

...New Moon Not my favourite book from the Twilight saga but definatley a good read Bella Swan turns 18 and her vampire boyfriend and his vampire family throw her a party. I've never been a big reader, and find it very difficult to find a book that I like enough to pick up again and continue reading. I read Twilight in three days!
