Pet Shop Boys started off in 1981 and released their first album in 1985, called Please so that people could enter a record shop and ask, "can I have the new Pet Shop Boys album, please." Back then, they were pioneers of a type of music which laid melancholic lyrics with ethereal melodies upon proficiently produced hi-NRG dance music. Release Some Tension - SWV

Advantages: One classic, plenty of features
Disadvantages: Too inconsistent, at times average vocal performance

...Originally released back in 1997, this album sold a number of copies off the back of the hit single 'Can We' which featured MIssy Elliott and was the soundtrack to cult film, Booty Call as well as featuring an abundence of rap, production and vocal talent picked up from previous hits and probably the world renowned 'Right Here' from a few years previous. Producers on the album include Sean 'Puffy' Combs, Deric 'D Dot' Angeleitte, Malik Pendleton, Roderick Wiggins and Timbaland and they all help to bring together a good array of tracks which gives the album the exact sound that was going around in R&B from the late 90s. His earlier albums have apparently sold poorly for the simple reason that they?re too complicated and, quite frankly, too camp. ?Want two,? the last album, opens with some fanciful string and vocal arrangements that?s a version of an old Latin prayer or something, but track two is a fantastic pop tune. For his new album, Wainwright has toned down his camp-ness by recruiting, er, a Pet Shop Boy (Neil Tennant). ...'Capture/Release' by the Rakes, has been out for over two years now, but I continue to be struck by just how listenable it is an album. Possessing clever, sardonic lyrics, an immediate, exciting post-punk sound, and a fair helping of standout tracks, it has more than enough to catch the attention of anyone vaguely interested in alternative/indie music. In my opinion, they say alot more for the scene than other bands, such as the Automatic, the Pigeon Detectives, or either of the two bands mashed together out of the disintegration of the Libertines. This album frequently displays originality, wit and relevance. On the surface, the album may seem fairly simple and superficial. Fairly basic musically, potentially repetitive, and a few underwhelming tracks towards the end, might suggest that they are just another faceless indie creation...

...When the new super mario bros. came out for the ds it was a ground breaking development it sold out in minutes and was the must have game for the Ds. unfortunately this cannot be said for the wii release. although this version has the ability of multi player on one system and a different story line it still feels very repetitive, the 4 selections of players are.
