New Spring - Old Tale

Advantages: Another book for Wheel of Time fans to collect
Disadvantages: Pity it has nothing worthwhile inside

...Gosh, where shall I start? Nowhere, because the story didn't go anywhere throughout the book, in fact, as per usual, if you turn his book 10 pages a time you would not have missed anything important. The much acclaimed Wheel of Time series started fine, with interesting powers, complicated and original world, beautiful writings, overly emotional characters, and all it needed is a storyline that would get up and move. Sadly, it did not go anywhere at all. At this stage, it feels as if I am reading the book because I feel compelled to find out the ending after all the money I wasted on his previous books. Even though I always have a small hope when holding a new book, Robert Jordan pretty much dashed any expectations I might have had quickly. Writing The man can write, that's for sure, he strings sentences together nicely...

  A Spring Experience

Advantages: All the staff are very friendly and professional

Alice Springs to the rocks!

Advantages: good for people on a budget
Disadvantages: not a hotel so standard is alot less

As we had booked the rest of our hostels through YHA we decided to keep it simple and book Alice Springs through them too. YHA Australia is part of the world's largest backpacker accommodation network, Hostelling International (HI), providing more than 4,000 YHA hostels in over 60 countries. To be honest each hostel is individually run so the standard does vary. Each hostel is given stars Alice Springs was 4 star. Advantages: Great plot, characters and writing style.

...It's not very often that I stumble across a new author and then desperately want to read everything they have ever done. When my nan gave me a well-read copy of the "The Yorkshire Pudding Club" last year, I devoured it and immediately got the author Milly Johnson's next novel from the library. Sadly, that was all she had released but I soon spotted her new release on Amazon and wrote the date in my diary! I finally got my copy in WH Smith the other day, and have finished it already, I could not put it down! Hopefully this review will convey how much I loved Johnson's 3rd brilliant novel. Advantages: A film of rare beauty; by turns humane, perverse and tender

A Spring Without Voices

Advantages: Quality of writing, quality of content.
Disadvantages: It's not what you'd call uplifting.

The first thing you?ll notice about Carson?s book is that it is so beautifully written. In you go expecting a lecture from a person intelligent and worthy but perhaps rather dull. Springs is just south of Ashby de la Zouch near to Measham and junction 12 of the M42/A42. Advantages: A real outback town, see the famous School of the air 7 flying doctor Service

...THE ALICE Ever since reading Neville Shute?s ?A Town Like Alice? when I was about sixteen, I?ve had this great desire to see Alice Springs. Alice is famous for a number of the more famous Australian icons such as the Flying Doctor Service and the School of the Air. It is also well known for it?s famous boat Henley on Todd; the river so rarely has water in it that this boat race is run by people ?wearing? or carrying boats with the bottoms cut out and carried along the dry river bed. The year there was water in the Todd River this boat race had to be cancelled! We flew from Darwin to Alice Springs which has a small airport but fresh and modern looking. Here comes spring, welcome in all forms!

Advantages: Cheap and more than cheerful.
Disadvantages: Don't look as nice as they taste.

...I have always had a penchant for Chinese food, my favourite being the only Chinese food item that I would eat in my teens, hence the review I am doing now! The product I will now review are ? Asda?s 4 spring rolls? The packaging, as with most of Asda?s own product range is simple yet effective. The box is cardboard and a lot smaller than the standard ready meal boxes, which is how it should be, less content less packaging, if only all companies had the same idea! The box simple holds a picture of the spring rolls with some chopsticks in the background, obviously to emphasise the ?Chinese? element! The base of the box is sky blue in colour and holds all the relevant information, brand name, product name, cooking methods, weight, nutritional information?..etc. All of which I will get to in due course.
