A decent surfing game for the WII

...Surf's Up is a WII game based on the animated film of the same name. It's a decent game and a pretty good interpretation of the movie, which features surf-boarding penguins. The whole game is based around surf-boarding, though there is also a bonus game where you have to slide down a track on a leaf - obviously this has certain similarities with the main game, but it does have a different feel to it. There are several characters to choose from - in fact, all the main characters from the film. Each surfer has his own range of abilities including speed and freestyle ability, and there is a selection of boards which also add to or detract from your different abilities. As you progress through the game there are lots of different things you can unlock, mainly new characters and boards. You can also add new songs to your track list...

Review of Couch Surfing

Everybody is surfing, Surfing USA...

Advantages: Good CGI, Good children's film.
Disadvantages: Not enough adult humour.

...the filmmakers (of the documentary) were using hand held cameras. I loved the soundtrack for this film; it really had a sort of "surfing feel" to it, and certainly had me and several other people in the theatre tapping our feet to it. Songs by Green Day, Pearl Jam, Incubus, Sugar Ray, The New Radicals, Lauryn Hill and 311. I would go as far as to say I would probably buy this soundtrack. The film had a really good storyline which moved along at not a bad pace most of the time, and kept the audience involved with some funny scenes. (One memorable scene was when Chicken Joe is out in the jungle hunting for Cody and he comes across a pack of cannibal penguins?who want to eat him although he thinks they are worshipping him, not exactly original but still funny) My son and daughter had mixed views on this film; my 6 yr old daughter loved it...

SURFS UP

Advantages: Great fun, great exercise, Croyde is a good break, and a very nice summer resort to visit

...I was lucky enough to be introduced to surfing at a very young age, living in the West Country where it’s easy to get to good quality, friendly surfing spots in reasonable time. I grew up on the North Devon coast; so playing in the water came naturally. At the age of 14 I was introduced to 'real' surfing, and haven't looked back since. Surfing, if you have the chance to do it is one of the best ways to keep fit and the feeling it gives you is just amazing, that you really need to try it for yourself. I would urge anyone just to give it a go, well worth it! As a really young kid I started surfing the waves on a bogie or belly board. This is a short foam board of about 4 foot long. ...I firstly came across this laundry tablet in my local Tesco’s. It was on special offer so l gave it a go – l bought the tablets which (I think) were £2.79 for 18 tablets or 9 washes. So, why choose Surf Tablets? PACKAGING – the packaging is excellent. A compact box which holds the round tablets. They are colourful, as well – Sun Fresh is a lovely tangerine colour. The boxes are easy store – they do not take up too much precious cupboard space. SMELL – They leave your clothes smelling very good. You know like how your mum always could get them smelling! I love that initial smell wafting at me when l open the washing machine door. CLEANING POWERS – These two little tablets in their little net back can sure shift a lot of dirt!
