Innkeeper's Lodge Newcastle
Advantages: quiet location
Disadvantages: some staff are a bit pushy
...My husband and I stayed in this hotel after having problems catching the ferry to Amsterdam ( look out soon for my DFDS Seaways review) and so we needed a place to stay overnight until we could catch the ferry the next day.
In the Innkeeper's Lodge hotel booklet this particular hotel come under the name of Newcastle Airport but although it was in the direction of the airport it wasn't exactly nearby. The location is a few minutes off of the dual carriageway. We could actually see a medium-sized roundabout from our bedroom window but actually it is in more of a village location and the area was relatively quiet and we didn't get disturbed at all by traffic or pedestrians.
If anyone hasn't come across an Innkeeper's Lodge before then the best way to describe it is that it's in the English country pub type style. Thats the only...

Newcastle Wild weekend
Advantages: Central location -
Disadvantages: Don't expect peace and quiet
...I recently stayed in the travel lodge on Newcastle. Its located at the quay, near the millenium bridge.
Cost
£64.95 room rate per night up to three adults per room or family of 4. Breakfast can be added at a nominal cost around £5 for continental and more for full english.
Room
This particular room was a decent size and had a double bed and sofa with pullout single, crisp white sheets and duvets a plenty. The room was clean and basic just what you'd expect from a budget chain. We opted for a no-smoking room as smoking is permitted in the bar downstairs if required.
The en-suite was clean and had bath, shower (very powerful), heated towel rail and no shortage of towels. Large over basin mirror, plastic glasses and single 'freebie' soap - just as expected.
Kettle was provided for tea/coffee with 2 mugs and a few tea...

Give Castle Lodge the Dodge
Advantages: A historical building
Disadvantages: disappointing and spoilt by the owners
...CASTLE LODGE
It was a family day out in Ludlow and whilst I was sitting resting on the bench, waiting for my hubby to return from checking the car and the parking fees, I noticed this really old Tudor style house opposite and on closer inspection discovered that it was open to the public. We didn?t go in straight away, but I did drop a big hint like, ?I want to go in there before we go home? to the family, so that they would not be surprised after the visit to the castle that we went in here.
After we had a lovely lunch in the café situated next door to the lodge after a amazing trip around the castle. We were all in high spirits and enjoying our food and refreshments, I dropped the bombshell that I wanted to see the house, they did try to dissuade me as they were now getting slightly tired and wanted to do a little retail...

Lovely lodges and amazing hot tubs!
Advantages: Nice lodges, fantastic hot tubs!
Disadvantages: Surrounding area not so good
...Newcastle and the park was very easy to find following the directions provided on the booking form.
We arrived earlier than the check-in time of 4pm, and the park seemed very quiet, but bearing in mind it is a camping and caravan park and this was November, so it was out of season.
There was a bungalow to the left, after we drove through the barrier and a small reception area with a shop.
A man came out of the bungalow after seeing us drive in. We gave our names, he explained he was the park manager and he told us to follow him, and he would take us to our lodge. We drove along a gravel road to the bottom of the park, where the lodges are located.
It is then you realise the park and lodges are situated on a hill which gives a good view of the Firth of Forth. Our lodge was on the end of a row.
We went inside, and were shown how everything worked...

Disney's Wilderness Lodge: Welcome Home
Advantages: A hotel brimming with personality and themed to perfection
Disadvantages: Expensive. But you get what you pay for.
...I consider myself lucky in relation to a lot of things in my life, but especially so when it comes to holidays. When I was six my parents took my to Disneyworld in Florida for the first time. Such was the impression that was left on us from that fantastic holiday, that my parents have taken me back there too many times to count since. In 1998, when I was fourteen years old, we stayed at Disneys Wilderness Lodge for the first time. Even by the standards of Disneyworld this phenomenal hotel raised the bar clean out of site, and since then we haven't even contemplated staying anywhere else. Read on to find out why.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
From the moment you arrive at Wilderness Lodge you get hit with this feeling that you've arrived somewhere special. The hotel design is based on the Pacific Northwest, and is certainly the best...

Choose Newcastle!!!!!!!!
Advantages: Read on and find out.
Disadvantages: It is a long way from the rest of the country.....
...I have now been a postgraduate student in the Department of Psychology at the University of Newcastle for the last two years and within this review I am going to sell you the virtues of coming here (mostly)..... So if you're interested please do read on!
***The University***
>>>>>General Info
Newcastle is an old red brick University and consequently it has some of those old beautiful red brick parts that they just don't build anymore (this is where you will find architecture and the buisness school). It has a fabulous reputation and I can vouch for this personally, I think it is just great. Things round here are also changing fast, just in the last couple of years that I have been here they have built a brand new very funky looking Georgraphy department and the Northern Institute for Cancer Resarch. Things are changing fast...

Newcastle
Advantages: The nightlife, the shopping, everything!!
Disadvantages: None!! A weekend prob isnt long enough!
...I am a student in Newcastle, and it is a brilliant city to live in. I'm from a small little town so Newcastle was a bit of a change for me, but I love it!
NIGHTLIFE:
Nights out in Newcastle are excellent, i tend to just go out through the week, as even tho Fridays and Saturdays are both excellent nights out, wherever you go it is really expensive (so on these nights I would just stick to the student union). On a Saturday night you could pay about £10 to get in a club.
Every other night out in Newcastle is also brilliant- and cheap too! On a Monday night I would go to bars in The Gate - a big complex with the Odeon ciinema, restaurants (such as Frankie and Bennys, Pizza Hut, The Spice Cube, Nandos, Ask,M.A Potters and a new one Bannatyne) and the fantastic bars (many of which are open late, and more like clubs than bars). There...

Sequoia Lodge Disneyland Paris
Advantages: Great service provided
Disadvantages: Price Maybe?
...The Sequoia Lodge Hotel in Disneyland Paris is a 3 key rated (out of 4 keys) hotel in the Disneyland Paris hotels list, the actual hotel is located outside Lake Disney and is really close to all the fun around the Disney Village (about a 5 mintue walk).
When I arrived at this hotel on the shuttle bus to Disney from the Charles De Gaull Airport my first instinct was that the hotel was clean and tidy and seemed to have a lot of helpful staff walking around it, I also noticed the Disney Shop in the hotel (which is standard to all hotels though is very handy for picking up last minute presents and memorabilia, and also for getting the odd snack e..g. crisps and sweets and juice to bring back to your room, though the shop is quite expensive). Checking in with this hotel was quick and painless, there were a good number of staff...

Park Lodge
Advantages: Friendly, close to family attractions. Close to transport. Cheap
Disadvantages: Buses can sometimes be noisy.
...Park Lodge Guest House
122 Summergangs Road
HU8 8LP
http://www.parklodgehull.com
Ok, so firstly a little about this place to set the scene?
Park Lodge Guest House is situated in Hull, East Yorkshire, just off one of the main roads running from the town centre. It gets it name from the large park next door, which is a great place and I will talk about it in a bit.
It has been operating as a guest house for about 20 years, but just over 1 year ago it was down-sized. It used to have 11 guest bedrooms, and was comprised of two large houses and a smaller building, but the other main house was sold, and the smaller building converted.
The people who run the show are Malcolm Purcell, the proprietor, and his partner Marie Moverley. Also I help out on the weekends, and am usually the person called if something goes wrong, (they...

Innkeepers Lodge Leeds
Advantages: Fantastic Value and a good quality Hotel
Disadvantages: None to say
...A few months ago we stayed at Innkeepers Lodge in Leeds whilst visiting some of our friends. We stayed at the Leeds East Hotel and I do have to say we were very impressed and wanted to share our experiences.
We had stayed at an Innkeepers lodge hotel in Birmingham before and as we had enjoyed our stay so much we looked specifically to stay in this chain of hotels for this visit.
The Hotel was different to the one we had stayed in previously -last time we stayed in a hotel with a pub and a carvery below it. This hotel also has a carvery but no pub, but it was also conveniently located so that we could choose from a number of places nearby to eat out. and also to drink at. The hotel was also situated only a few miles from the centre of Leeds, so we could easily spend days out in Leeds without having to travel too far.
We stayed...
