Metro Station-I'd get off at the next stop if I were you!
Advantages: Emo-pop synthesized sound. Some of the songs are catchy, great for impressionable teenage girls.
Disadvantages: Annoyingly catchy 'Shake it' song.Rubbish lyrics, synthesized and kiddyish.
...Reviewing this album is an exercise in objectivity on my part and I intend to give it my best shot. I think the first thing that I should say to try and defend Metro Station, is try to ignore their previous connections with the Hannah Montana empire. That is definitely a good starting place for trying to think of their good points.
This album, in terms of sound and feel is a bit emo-pop, targeted at a younger audience than the serious emo of our time. This younger audience I am referring to is made up almost entirely of teenage girls I am certain of it. When listening to this album and trying to review this band, I am trying not to liken them with Bros and the boy-pop bands of my youth. This is impossible because Metro Station are exactly that: a modern day Bros, raised to greatness through Myspace hype than actual musical greatness...

Metro Radio is the best music
Advantages: Wide range of music played
Disadvantages: Adverts/ breaks
...Having always listened to Metro Radio, alias Metro FM, i can confirm that it the air play is organized to attract 'all' listeners. Having listened to an alterative radio station for a short time, i reverted back to Metro Radio. I listen to the radio during work hours, and at home. All the presenters are easy on the ear, they dont spend hours talking over the songs and they have excellent competions. Metro Radio holds many of events for teenage listeners and the shows allow you to participate and not just be another listener. I myself won a competion when i was about 14 years old, i won alot of signed CD's. Metro Radio's playlist includes all the latest songs which are topping the charts, however it plays songs of the past which are great to hear. Don't you get sick of listening to 'whats hot in the charts' all the time. I would...

SHOPPING IN METRO STYLE!
Advantages: see review
Disadvantages: see review
...with a disability and I am pleased to say that warden checks regularly to ensure these spaces are not abused, so remember to display your blue badge to avoid a fine! Before you leave your car make a note of which coloured car park you are in! It really is easy to forget!
The metro centre is really well served by public transport. From Newcastle central station trains run every 15 minutes and the journey takes just 7 minutes. The metro centre has its own station with undercover seating. Trains run along the Tyne valley as far as Carlisle and are frequent.
In addition to the train service there are numerous busses that connect from all over the North East. For accurate times I suggest you take a look at the metro centre web site. All transport arrives into the Metro centre and the walkways are covered so you will be protected from the elements...

Metro Film Review
Advantages: Action, Characters
Disadvantages: It's hardly groundbreaking
...I'll begin this film review by confessing two things: 1. I've never really been a fan of Eddie Murphy; and 2. At the time of writing this, I've never seen any of the Beverley Hills Cop films. If any of these things had been different prior to watching, I may have been disappointed with Metro like a majority of the other film critics. My third, and perhaps most surprising, confession, however, is that I actually enjoyed this film.
It's a formulaic, but effective, buddy-cop comedy-action film. The action set pieces are well done and the central actors appear very confident in their character roles; Murphy, in particular, appears completely at east in front of the camera and is a joy to watch.
Plot wise, Metro is hardly Shakespearian, but no one ever expects that from an action movie anyway. Murphy is Roper, a hostage negotiator...

A Metro Moment
Advantages: Free, funny, free, great time killer and free!
Disadvantages: Made by the Daily Mail and dodgy Ink
..., with I’m sure would be useful if that’s what you like reading in a paper!
Where do I get it from?
This is where it gets a bit tricky. As with all good things, there’s a catch. Not everywhere can get it. Up until recently the only time I read the Metro was when I visited my boyfriend in Coventry. But thank the lucky stars, Sheffield now prints it’s own so I get to read it every time I go to Uni. If you do live in a Metro catchment area, you’ll be able to pick a copy up from trains stations, bus stations, buses and in Sheffield’s case, on the tram. However, because it’s free you have to get their early to get your copy in busy places. In Coventry station all the copies have disappeared by 9.00am, but in my home town train station you can get a copy all day (Chesterfield people don’t know...

royal station hotel
Advantages: -
Disadvantages: --
...****Royal Station Hotel-Newcastle****
Initially my friend and i booked into a Travelodge but we decided very quickly that we needed another hotel and this is the one we ended up staying in.
**Location/Getting there**
This hotel is located right next to the train station which is fantastic, nothing worse than a long journey followed by having to find a hotel. There is loads of places to eat nearby, plenty to see and do.The bus station is also quite nearby and would take about 10 minutes to walk too.
**Reception/staff**
The hotel looks really nice from the outside-a grand looking building.Reception looks really nice with big chandlers hanging from the ceiling and there are two lifts.Staff were nice and i had the option of paying straight away or when i checked out.
**Hotel/Room**
The room i stayed in was a twin room and it had...

Westlife 11/03/05 at Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle
Advantages: Some good songs and a good view
Disadvantages: Expensive tickets (£27.50) and not enough hit singles
...Westlife returned to Newcastle with an exciting start. Shane, Mark, Kian and Nicky came in through the doors at the back of the arena and took the risky chance of walking down the aisles and greeting the screaming fans before jumping on stage to sing "Uptown Girl".
"Hey Whatever", "If I Let You Go", "Mandy", "Unbreakable", "My Love", "Swear It Again" and a raunchy "When You're Looking Like That" followed the opening song.
As Westlife went for a costume change, the excellent backing band played an instrumental "I Will Survive". This set the tone for the next segment, which was a series of cover versions. "Disco Inferno", a cheesy "Pretty Woman" and a poppy "I Feel Fine" went down a storm. The classic "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" was next, with Mark doing a fine job of hitting those high notes in what was his best...

MY MARVELLOUS MORNING METRO
Advantages: Free - it's free I tell you!
Disadvantages: Possibly too brief for some
...As I make the short walk into the office each morning, I must be the only person who is actually walking into Manchester Piccadilly train station. Don?t worry, I don?t have a fetish for spending time in train stations - my journey is entirely selfish. Seldom does a working day go past when I don?t pick up a copy of the free newspaper, Metro.
Metro is published daily, Monday to Friday, in most major UK cities and is given away free at major railway stations. You can also find copies on some metropolitan buses. I generally only read the Manchester version, but have picked up London, Leeds and Birmingham editions and they all seem to be of a similar standard. The paper is normally about 40 pages long and for me is an essential daily acquisition.

Retro Metro
Advantages: 24 hour good music
Disadvantages: Some of the features can be crap
...I've grown up with Metro Radio, from the days it used to play the worst music and have a cheesy logo to now with it's retro logo and the best music. It can live up to it's promise of the best music Metro Radio, it always has the biggest prizes, coolest tracks and best presenters. From the new guy in the morning, Marky Mark with his large chopper and the husky Alan Robson joining you in bed at night with his fantastic chat programme, Nightowls. They recently gave away a holiday to Austrailia all expenses paid for the answer to a set of three easy questions! Everyone is familiar with the broadcasters, DJ's and much-put-upon behind the scenes folk, and despite some of the features being a little risqué, Metro Radio still provides good music all the time....

FREE METRO
Advantages: IT'S FREE
Disadvantages: Too many adverts, stories too brief, but hey, hey its free
...Metro always make my bus or tram jourmey to town more intresting. The idea is good, to give a free paper to encourage people to read more. It has all the main headlines inside as the other papers, though it may not go into as much detail as a broadsheet. It also helps me keep up with current affairs as I have teenagers at home who pull strange faces if I try and watch the news. There are plenty of stories inside and colour pictures. It'll be paid for by all the adverts which it must be said that their is a lot of. Once yyou've read it aswell your meant to leave it so someone else can have the benefit of reading it. The sport at the back is mainly football. Overall a good idea, and each region has it own edition but even though that this is there is little local news inside, only a what's on guide or else you'd never know. It has sudoko...
