♫ A great deal happening ♫
Advantages: there is more to do and its closer to the mainland England
Disadvantages: not as well organised as the store at Liskeard
...TRAGO MILLS
----------------------
After my review on Trago Mills (Liskeard) I have decided to write about my favourite store of the three (liskeard, Newton Abbot and Falmouth). After the initial debate about whether we wanted a shopping trip down Cornwall or to Exeter and Torquay we could work out which store we really wanted to visit.
In case you have not read the 'Trago Mills Liskeard' review I will give a brief introduction to the history of Trago. Trago Mills started out in the 1960's as a small shed in Liskeard, South East Cornwall. The founder Mike Robertson bought a selection of items 'up country' and sold them in this shed. The store was designed to sell cheap, affordable products to the locals of Cornwall. Mike Robertson is a well known supporter and has broken many trading laws in the past by insisting to open on Sundays...

Trago Mills, not a success story?
Advantages: See text.
Disadvantages: See text.
...This review is on Trago Mills, a family themem park with shopping centre based in Devon just outside a town called Newton Abbot. This site is one out of three Trago Mills sites, the other two being in Cornwall (one at Liskeard theh other at Falmouth).
In order to find this particular one, you will find it on the A38 between Plymouth and Exeter. Or rather, closer to Exeter but still on that exact same road! Look for sings to Newton Abbot, although just to confuse you all more which I know you like - there are in fact two junctions for this town. If coming from Exeter way, then it will be the first turning - of course, from Plymouth it will be the second. But never fear, as Trago is well signposted from both ways.
On entering the site, there is plenty of car parking. But as this is a popular place to come to, then no doubt it will...

Newton Faulkner's debut album is a success
Advantages: Great voice and lyrics
Disadvantages: Not a great deal of variety, though I'm sure that will come
...Hand Built By Robots is Newton Faulkner's debut album. He smashed onto the commercial music scene in 2007 with his hit Dream Catch Me, and the album was just as successful. He is one of a breed of singer songwriters we have seen emerge over the past five years or so inculding James Blunt, James Morrison and Paolo Nutini that seem to have the edge when it comes to writing music.
If you've heard Faulkner's music, then you'll know he is a balladier, with his husky and powerful voice and his loing ginger dreadlocks making him instantly recognisable. The album doesn;t have a lot of variety about it, I have to say, but that does not mean that he is a one-trick pony. Faulkner's music is high in quality. The predominant sounds on the album are his guitar and voice, but the backing music lends itself well to the music, and it is obviously...

Too much soul for robots
Advantages: Melodical, beautiful lyrics
Disadvantages: Maybe a little too 'tame' for some!
...Well, it's my 50th review, so I decided to mark the occasion by doing something a little different - my very first music review! Thanks to all those who have written quality reviews before, and given me ideas of how to proceed! I just hope I can do my chosen artist justice.
I expect by now, at least 80% of the population have heard of Newton Faulkner, haven't they? Handmade guitar, surfydude with dreadlocks, deep soulful voice? No? Well let me enlighten you! He is a 23 years old (at the time of writing), singer/ songwriter from Surrey. His gorgeous rendition of Massive Attacks Teardrops (which I personally think is brilliant - not as good as the original granted, but still hauntingly beautiful just the same), is mainly responsible for bringing him into the public ear. For me, his track Dream Catch Me was what really drew me to...

DIY Chiropody
Advantages: Improves hard skin & the best 'at-home' treatment I have used.
Disadvantages: Doesn't totally remove my hard skin and callouses
...and the balls of your feet. Corns usually have a 'core' which makes it more obvious to determine whether it's a callous or a corn.
◊◊◊ How to use Newton's Foot Therapy ◊◊◊
Soak your feet in warm water for at least 5 minutes then wet the sponge. I thought that this would make the sponge soft and sponge-like but it remains the same as when it is dry.
Rub some soap on the to the sponge and with a gentle but firm motion, rub the sponge over the problem area.
Once you have used it, rinse the sponge to remove the soap, leave to dry and store in the case.
◊◊◊ My Experience ◊◊◊
Aside from being surprised that the texture of the product didn't match the title, 'sponge', I soon got used to it.
I followed the instructions and rubbed away, expecting instant removal...

Newton falls and Bowie rises as an actor
Advantages: David Bowie as an alien, surreal and unusual
Disadvantages: Dated special effects, too many improbabilities
...The Science fiction film, The Man Who Fell to Earth, was made in 1976 when David Bowie, playing the title role, was at the peak of his popularity . His image as the glam rocker, Ziggy Stardust, was well established and had inspired a cult following. This film was to be his debut into the world of acting.
The film opens as a rocket is launched into space. As it rises, something descends to earth landing very conveniently in a lake. A UFO? The solo occupant, Thomas Jerome Newton (David Bowie), emerges. His image is striking, his pale almost white face exaggerated by the redness of his hair is framed by the night sky.
Newton?s mission is simple. His home planet, Anthea, is in desperate need of water. His wife and two children are slowly dying of thirst. Newton has to make sufficient money to build a spaceship that can take him...

Hand Made By A genius!!!!
Advantages: Excellent voice, guitar playing and lyrics
Disadvantages: Very short album
...What is this weird sound we keep hearing all over the music channels and the radio? Well this glorious sound is Newton Faulkner. Who? I hear you cry. Well Newton has come very far over the past few months. Born in 1985 making him a fresh 22 years of age, Newton first started playing the guitar when he was 15. Although if you listen to his guitar playing you would think he was born playing it. I first saw Newton Live when he supported James Morrison at the beginning of the year. The unique sound plus his excellent Spongebob Squarepants song impression, immediately got my attention. As soon as I got home I logged onto his Myspace page and followed him constantly through all his hard work. His first EP UFO wasn?t recognised and again it was back to the drawing board. 6 months later Newton announced the release of his long awaited album...
