...Living only 25 minutes away from Lakeside, since the first day I can remember it?s the only place I would go if I want to go shopping. There are other places which are about 15 minutes from me but they are not as easy to park in, totally sheltered and they do not have such a range of shops. Lakeside, as many of you probably already know is a shopping mall located in Thurruck and it has been around longer than I can remember, the mall itself is located in the middle of a retail park also, making the shopping experience an even bigger one, there is something for everyone here. What is there? The main part of Lakeside is obviously the mall which is filled to the brim with over 250 shops, clothes shops for all ages and styles, furniture, electrical, jewellery, books, everything. Also Lakeside has an eating court for hungry shoppers...

Lakeside in Thurrock Gets Better Every Year

Advantages: A vast amount of shops to choose from
Disadvantages: None

...Lakeside shopping centre in Thurrock, Essex is a huge shopping mall. It has three floors with a variety of shops. I love coming here and it gets better year after year. What's on Offer? On the top floor there are lots of varied eating places from Chinese to burger king and all kinds of coffee shops. On the second and first floor there are many shops such as W.H. Smiths (book store), Debenhams (multi store), Next (ladies and mens clothes), Top Shop (ladies wear), Top Man (mens), B.H.S. (multi-store) , Marks and Spencers (multi-store), the Body Shop, Woolworths, Boots, House of Fraser, JD Sports, HMV (music and dvd store), Dorothy Perkins, Evans and many more. Lakeside Village Outlet Shopping

Advantages: Bargains!
Disadvantages: Very Busy & Tiring

...I first visited this shopping Outlet some 5 years ago when it was more commonly known as 'The Yorkshire Outlet'. Then I lived some 35 miles away but once in a while me and my ex husband would make the pilgramage to Doncaster to see what bargains we could find. (Strangely enough always near to Christmas). Advantages: Got all you could want under one roof.
Disadvantages: Can be difficult to find if unsure of area. Parking a little hard also.

...Lakeside is a great shopping centre based near Dartford in Kent. Just off the M25 lakeside can be found off junction 30/31 and is clearly signposted for those who are new to the centre. Boasting of 320 shops, 4 major department stores, 30 cafes and restaurants, a 7 screen multiplex cinema, a chapel and a 26 acre lake complete with PADI certified diving school complex. There is a neighbouring retail park that has approximately 40 large stores, these being, Toys R Us, Ikea, P.C World and all the other general big superstores that you would expect to find such a park including eateries such as Pizza Land and McDonalds. Lakeside Hotel - Good Facilities, Poor Rooms

...The lakeside hotel is set in beautifull lakedistrict on the banks of Lake Windermere. I decided to treat my wife to a 2 night break away. We went for the best room in the hotel hoping for a romantic break. Well it hasnt been the worst £500 ive spent but i must say i was a little dissappointed with the hotel for the money. The Room: The room looked really quite dated and old, i realise this is an old hotel but that should add to the character and charm of your stay. The bedroom was small, had a nice view if you could put up with the draft coming through the windows. The bathroom was a reasonable size but the sunken bath looked as if it hadnt been washed properly for a long time.
