NEXT !
Advantages: Good quality clothes, lots of branches, good prices
Disadvantages: none
...I can't believe that I haven't wrote a review on NEXT before now. This is the only shop where I buy my childrens clothes from, clothing for myself and most of my homewear

The first NEXT store opened in February 1982 with an exclusive co-ordinated collection of stylish clothes, shoes and accessories for women. Collections for men, children and everything for the well dressed home followed.
As that was a big successes, a catalogue was launched in 1988 called Next Directory which was and still is a big successes.

WEST FIELD SHOPPING CENTRE DERBY
Advantages: COSTLY
Disadvantages: OUT PRICING SMALLER OUTLETS
...experience, think about it?
Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus; Covent Garden and Canary wharf, all these have some amazing shops on offer.
Instead we carry on building worthless shopping centres on an enormous and costly magnitude.
We do not need this many.
I did mention Derby city earlier on and today the doors opened too the all brand new Westfield shopping centre and you guess it, its guess the shop competition all over again.
Boots; Debenhams; Costa coffee x 2; BHS; M&S; Matalan; Next; WHSmiths; Star bucks; Monsoon; Madhouse. I could go on and bore you with the same named shops all over again and all under one roof,
Woolworths and Sainsbury's, Derby has now got three Sainsbury's, yes three all within 5 mins of each other, providing the traffic is good.
The multimillion pound shopping centres against the local NHS hospital, if...

Next on my list...
Advantages: Reasonable pricing, good quality clothes, lots of stores
Disadvantages: Everyone else wears the same clothes, not always a great selection
...I never really shopped at Next until I got my job in the Civil Service. As an office based role I needed to look smart and Next seemed like a great place to go to buy suits and smart work tops. I had bought the occasional t-shirt or jeans but my mother had often bought clothes from the catalogue. I prefer buying in store as you get to feel the materials and try the clothes on.
About Next:
The store was founded in 1982; they now have over 400 retail outlets around the world and is the UK's third largest clothes retailer. Last year, Next's turnover was £3.3 billion and profits were £478 million before tax.
My local stores:
In my town there are 2 out of town new stores, 1 small store in the town centre and a clearance store.
First impressions:
The new(ish) stores are on out of town retail parks. They are quite large and airy...

Inspiring Capital,Inspiring Shopping Centre?
Advantages: Very Clean, Easy to get around, Lots of Space
Disadvantages: Too few shops, not on two levels, not that easy to get to
...!. There are numerous child spaces close to all the entrances and Disabled spaces which are even closer and plentiful all over the place.
There are approximiately 60 units for shops and these are used in a wide variety. There are two anchor main stores at either end of the Centre which are occupied by M&S and Morrissons respectively.
The other well known shops that have an outlet in the Centre include Next, River Island, WH Smith, Birthdays, Boots, The Disney Store, New Look,Dr and Herbs, Clintons,Dorothy Perkins, Boots,O2,Barrats,Clarks etc.
The sizes of the shops all vary considerably in size. For example Next is quite a large while Claires Accessories is a very small store even though they are not very far apart from one another.
The Centre itself is very light and airy as it has a glass roof which means there is natural light...

De Bradlei Wharf Shopping Centre
Advantages: Discount goods, nicely laid out
Disadvantages: None
...Location
The De Bradelei Wharf in Dover, is located in Cambridge Road which is just off the main A20 dual carriageway. It is only a ten inute walk from the train station and a fifteen minute walk from the main bus station. It is about a five minute walk from Dover Town Centre market square.
De Bradelei Wharf
This shopping outlet is built in the historic Wellington Dock area of the town which is just behind the sea front with ample pay and display parking. If you buy something in store, the cost of your parking will be refunded.
The cost of the pay and display is £2.50. There are plenty of disabled parking bays too.
The entrance is constructed on decking which runs the full length of the complex on one side.
Here you can sit outside and enjoy the hanging baskets which are put out in the summer months.

What Next
Advantages: Lots of branches. good prices/ policy/ range
Disadvantages: Directory doen not always correspond to shop stock. Branches vary.
...this under "women's" is that is the department I visit the most. There is still plenty of info on the other depatments of the store.
LOCATION
Next is one of those high street chains that seem to have a branch nearly everywhere. Shopping centres, high streets and the like. On the website (details below) there is a store locator in the "about Next" section so you can find convenient branch for you. The store locator will also tell you the departments available in that particular outlet (mens/ womens/ children/ petites/ home). I wil warn you though that the links from individual store information will not take you to the contents of that particular store but will simply refer you to that particular section of the Directory.

Next Kids
Advantages: good range of sizes, lovely bright colours, good girls party clothes
Disadvantages: not so much choice for boys
...I can only speak for kids clothes in next as I don't buy adult clothes from them.
I don't buy many clothes from them, but the bits and pieces I have bought have been really good.
If you have a good look at the clothes, you do find some of the items a bit overpriced, but generally they are comparable to places like Adam's and Mothercare. I think the quality is good.
I like the fact that they make a good range of sizes in each item. Sometimes you can't always get the size that you want, but often they have them at the back of the shop, so it is always worth an ask if something is not in the size you require.
I find that the clothes wash well, I have never had any problems with them at all.
I do think that the Girls sections have more choices than boys, but I find this to be the same everywhere. The girls clothes are...

NEXT please...
Advantages: Wonderful staff :)
Disadvantages: Expensive
...Well, I've already given you lucky people my opinion on Next's rival shop, Oasis, so I thought I should probably do a Next op.
First off, maybe I'm a little biased because I actually work in the Reading branch of Next, but I think this should actually make me like the shop less if anything, and I still love the place.
Next is one of my favourite High-Street shops - they cater for most occasions and they really are a force to be reckoned with, with Ladieswear, Kidswear, Menswear and Home departments in each store. Obviously the department I'm the most familiar with is Ladieswear, but since working there I think I can comment on the others without looking like a complete fool!
Ladieswear is the department Next is the most worshipped for. In this department you can find clothes for work, formal occasions, parties, sitting around...

Next please!!!!!!!!!!!!
Advantages: Good choice, Good quality, lots of stores
Disadvantages: Sales are mad
...I first started shopping here after the birth of my eldest boy 10 years ago, someone bought me some baby clothes and i was very impressed with the quality ( and they were so cute )So i went in and had a look and the rest is history !!!
The stores are always well postioned on most high streets my local one is bromley in kent.
I always thought thati couldn't afford to shop in next and i must admit some of there clothes are a bit pricey but i do believe you get what you pay for and the quality is very good. I still have clothes especially tops and shirts that i bought 8 years ago and they still look good and wash up well, ( and they have come back in fashion!!)
I must also admit i have got a store card which i know is not the best thing to have but it suits me. I also have their catalogue delivered because they do have bits in there...

The Next Best Thing
Advantages: Business wear superb, great staff, good store layouts
Disadvantages: Casual wear is a bit naff
...When it comes to buying clothes I’m not loyal to any particular brand, any particular store or any particular price range. I sometimes spend a lot and sometimes I don’t spend all that much at all. If I’m honest, I don’t really like clothes shopping at all and these days I’m more motivated by good service, easy shopping and consistent availability.
Next always strikes me as a rather odd store. Caught somewhere between high street fashion and designer cool, Next never seems to quite know what it wants to be, but it certainly has its devotees. Whether it’s during the phenomenally popular seasonal sales or just when a new range hits the stores, Next never seems short of customers or admirers. I have friends and colleagues who are virtually addicted to the place. I can never really see what all...
