...I only just posted an opinion on Shimano cycle gears a month or so and here I am again, posting another. ?What gives?? I hear those of you that actually give ?a monkey?s? asking. Ah well, the first time it was because I am building myself a new bike. Now, it?s because my two sheds don?t look anywhere near full yet, and because I can?t turn down a tasty bargain, courtesy of e-Bay. Anyway, some people are three-car families; I?m a three-biker, so what? Now then, what?s so special about these Shimano Nexus gears that would divert me from my aim to build a bike? Failed to Excel for Me

Advantages: Can be used at very low temperatures
Disadvantages: Not suitable for hand washing, overpowering scent on Febreze version, made stains worse

...Wanted an all purpose touring short to replace my Beanbags which are destined for the dustbin. Polaris Nexus Touring Short: Tried to find local shops which stoke this item, but without luck. Therefore bought on-line. Pleasantly surprised by quality of material and manufacture. All going well until I tried them on. At six foot, I'm tall but not enormous. With a normal waist of 36" I obtained the XL size (37"). The waist would have been just right if it was at my waist. Fit is more like a pair of hipsters than cycling shorts. Needs a further 2" in body length. Given the XL tag, the seat was far too tight and the cut at the front (under the delicate bits) more so. I have a traditional dropped bar touring bilke with bars 2" below saddle, so tend to lean forward - after an hour, dowright uncomfortable. Does raise question...

Excellence.

Advantages: Good shade selection, good consistency, easy to apply, good end result.
Disadvantages: Smell could be a little better, 'bare' shades (5, 6, 7 etc) can make your hair look dull and dirty

...Well as I'm sure many of you know (and are probably fed up of hearing about now), we went on holiday in September to Tenerife. We were flying EXCEL airways. We have never flown with these before but my mum had on a couple of occasions and couldn't fault them. On arrival at Gatwick with tons of time to spare we thought we'd go and see where to book in thinking it was early and we'd be at the front of the que of people...how wrong! Excel had about four flights checking in on as many desks so the que was pretty massive. It moved steadily and soon we were at the front.
