...I only just posted an opinion on Shimano cycle gears a month or so and here I am again, posting another. ?What gives?? I hear those of you that actually give ?a monkey?s? asking. Ah well, the first time it was because I am building myself a new bike. Now, it?s because my two sheds don?t look anywhere near full yet, and because I can?t turn down a tasty bargain, courtesy of e-Bay. Anyway, some people are three-car families; I?m a three-biker, so what? Now then, what?s so special about these Shimano Nexus gears that would divert me from my aim to build a bike? ...Wanted an all purpose touring short to replace my Beanbags which are destined for the dustbin. Polaris Nexus Touring Short: Tried to find local shops which stoke this item, but without luck. Therefore bought on-line. Pleasantly surprised by quality of material and manufacture. All going well until I tried them on. At six foot, I'm tall but not enormous. With a normal waist of 36" I obtained the XL size (37"). The waist would have been just right if it was at my waist. Fit is more like a pair of hipsters than cycling shorts. Needs a further 2" in body length. Given the XL tag, the seat was far too tight and the cut at the front (under the delicate bits) more so. I have a traditional dropped bar touring bilke with bars 2" below saddle, so tend to lean forward - after an hour, dowright uncomfortable. Does raise question...

HP Compaq nx6110

Advantages: small and lightweight
Disadvantages: Overheats & power adapter melts into motherboard, HP has very poor customer service

...After 9 months of using my nx6110 laptop, the power cord melted into the system board and I lost the ability to charge the laptop. It was still under warranty, repair went fine through HP until exactly nine months after it was fixed, the EXACT same problem happened AGAIN. Warranty had expired and HP customer service told me "buy a new laptop because it is approximately the same as the cost to replace the system board again!!!!! So I only recommend purchasing this laptop if you want to have the same problem repaired every nine months. I contacted HP over 23 times yet received no assistance, apology or help. Additionally, the nx6110 batteries were recalled due to "overheating" yet they stated my battery was "fine" and again refused to stand behind their faulty product. My experience has been so bad that I will NEVER purchase any HP...
