A great mid-price board for budget SLi systems
Advantages: Quick connectors, built in bios recovery, overclocking features
Disadvantages: No port 80 (LED diagnostics) display, angled IDE sockets
...of options for overclocking.
The onboard lan is 1000 Mbps as you would expect. The two IDE sockets face forward at 90 degrees to the board which actually made them more fiddly in my Antec superlanboy case. Also the cpu socket protector felt as though I might break the board when I removed it to fit the cpu.
Still, once the Zalman cooler clip was fitted underneath and the Q6600 cpu and cooler were in place, I stuck some memory in, connected the PSU and decided to fire it up. I noticed there was no port 80 card on the board but it turned out I didn't need it as the system came to life first go.
The motherboard comes with a full instruction manual and quick set-up guide, driver cds, SLI connector cable, 2 sata cables, an IDE and floppy cable and a molex to sata-power adapter.
I haven't overclocked this system yet but I'm getting core...

Gigabyte GA-N650SLI-DS4L
Advantages: Great performance, reasonable price, no obvious problems
Disadvantages: Severe lifespan issues - do any last more than a few weeks?
...Let me start by saying that this is one amazing motherboard, at a reasonable price.
The installation of the board is very simple, with most of the connectors in useful positions, and no issues with large after market heat sinks. One thing I found especially good about this board is that it is slightly smaller than ATX - the height is the same, but the width is less. This means you can have a bit more space if your case is usually cramped.
The performance of this board is also very good, with 1333Mhz FSB and DDR800, along with SLI. Full voltage and temperature monitoring is also available.
As far as overclocking is concerned, this motherboard does not disappoint. The memory and FSB speeds can be set almost independently, and there are voltage options for many items, including FSB, northbridge and southbridge. The Easy...

Abit Fatal1ty FP-IN9SLI Mother Board
Advantages: reasonable price, for quick and easy overclocking, and great performance
Disadvantages: it has a SODIMM switch, which perhaps isn't welcomed by everyone as its an old feature.
...The Abit Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLI mother board is great start for anyone who wishes to puchurse a new motherboard, or perhaps start to build there own computer and just aren't quite sure what mother board to go for. Well i strongly recomend this product, its priced keenly and is focused almost exculsivly on forming the basis of a decent gaming rig.
The reason that the board is so much cheaper than other LGA775 boards is that it uses the nForce 650i SLI chipset, rather than the top of the range 680i SLi thats seen on more expensive motherboards, but i wouldnt worry its still a great board to go with.
Even though the board is brand new, theres a SODIMM switch between the two 8x PCI-E slots. This is used to manually set the board to single or dual graphics card mode, which is a fairly old idea, that perhaps more experienced gamers aren...

It's the SLI of the tiger
Advantages: SLI. AMD64 bit goodness, DDR memory still used, Hypertransport, Hardware Firewall, Cable testing ports
Disadvantages: New PSU needed for 24 pin ATX and PCI-E power, BIOS updates required
...oops, I did it again with such a SAD title that half the readers of this small review on the newest Nvidia chipset based motherboard for the AMD64 socket 939 platform, have probably closed their browsers in disbelief.
It was Just around the Christmas/New Year I decided that frankly my old XP3200+ based system could no longer cut the mustard so to speak, so off I went ( once I had been paid ) and bought nearly a complete system based around the Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe. As far as motherboards go, I only really like to use 2 of the well-known brands which are Abit and Asus. According to our Abit contact we have at work, would not have an SLI motherboard out for "quite a few months" I had only the Asus range to choose from.
Now I was torn between a new PCI-E based platform or an older based AGP system - and I thought seeing as SLI was...

One fatal motherboard - A8N SLi
Advantages: Many over normal boards
Disadvantages: price above average
...(blinks icons for email etc) and displays frequency and voltage.
So what you think !! - Well the difference with this is that you can overclock your pc while in game by using preset overclock features and monitor system performance while doing so, if it's struggling you can then switch back.
~ The motherboard ~
As stated in the specification it's a socket 939 with 1 PCI Express x16, 2 PCI Express x1, 3 32-bit/33MHz, 4 184pin DIMMs or PC3200 memory, 4 USB 2.0 ports, gigabit Lan port, 1 firewire port and a separate sound card.
Don't be fooled by some reviews stating this has ATA - 150 support only, it actually supports Sata II on 4 channels which is ATA-150 compatible, the other 2 ports are ATA-133.
The motherboard uses Nforce Ultra chipset with a 6-channel audio via nForce4 integrated audio and ALC658 codec PCIE sound card...

P5N32 SLi - Deluxe Motherboard
Advantages: Good quality, good build, high end specifications.
Disadvantages: Funny little heatsinks.
...Asus P5N32 SLi Deluxe nForce 4 Motherboard
It would be possible to go on forever about this device, but I intend to keep the techno babble to a minimum. Or at least that's the plan. As such I'm going to go through the main features in detail and then talk a little bit about the other bits.
The motherboard is very well designed and if anyone is interested comes with a slick black finish to the PCB (printed circuit board) and some interesting heatsinks draped across the board.
The first thing I thought when I saw these heatsinks was 'bugger'. They look pretty and they mean that you have no whiney little 40mm fans on the board (the smaller the fan the more high pitched the noise it produces, generally you can get fans between 12mm and 180mm). This cleaver design of heatsink also allows for the mounting of optional fans that come...

Superb sli enthusiast board
Advantages: easy instal, x16 bandwidth on both slots, 2x gigabit lan, easy overclock
Disadvantages: fan loud on nb
...Bought this board to replace the Asus P5N32-e SLI Plus board that wldnt overclock my processor at all.
Really impressed so far as the board has lived up to all the hype that surrounds it on the internet.
Packaging:
This board was packed a liuttle differently to any motherboard that i have bought in the past. Instead of an anti-static bag it came in plastic mould that seated the board very well and prevented any damage occuring during transit. The board also had a multitude of accesories with it. This included the manual, quick start guide, sli bridge connector, driveers disk, sata floppy disk, black sata cables and black ide cables.
Specs:Performance
Based on NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI Chipset chipset
Supports Intel Core 2 Extreme, Intel Core 2 Quad, Intel Core 2 Duo, Pentium EE, and Pentium processors

Top quality SLi motherboard
Advantages: SLI, price, feature rich
Disadvantages: Comparitively expensive
...Asus has consistently produced top-quality products offering both superior quality and features. The A8N-SLi Deluxe is no exception to this and offers a host of overclocking and other features and excellent build quality.
Installation of components onto the board is a relatively simple matter and thanks to Asus' Stack Cool 2 and the heat pipe system the board is incredibly efficient at dissipating heat.
However, the one problem I did have with the board was that the onboard Realtek sound card was a little tempormental with the bundled drivers and would not install at all on Vista. Fortunately, this is easily fixed by downloading the latest drivers from Asus' website.
In all this is a superb quality, feature packed, product from a manufacturer with a reputation for quality and service. If you are looking for a high...
