...if you are looking to upgrade your pc for gaming on a tight budget this is the best place to start for £70 you deffinatley get your moneys worth with all the features included i bought mine when they was first released it was buggy but once the bios was updated all was fine this board is the heart of one of my kick ass machines and that is exactly what it will do This Motherboard is certified for SLI use my only bad point asus website very slow when wanting to download updates why pay £150 for a striker extreme when this is half that p.s my freind has the striker and i dont feel a diference at all apart from the striker boots up slower too much junk in its bios the p5n is stripped to the core for performance all unneeded removed it is easy to install and set up with good istructions to do so and will even fit...

Advantages: Value for money, competent integrated hardware (especially the sound)
Disadvantages: Geforce2 MX a little dated for todays games

With 4 USB port, 7.1 surround sound audio card, 4 rear USB ports + 2 headers, Printer Port, and even 2 PCI-E 16X for SLi and 2 PCI-E and 2 PCI card slots, which is a good use of the slots available, with the PCI-E sure to be used more in the future, with it's smaller and faster slot. So, after unpacking, I found there to be a lot of accessories with this board, keeping up to ASUS's standards. ABIT of NForce can go a long way

Advantages: Fast, Stable, Reliable, Low Cost
Disadvantages: Fan not so reliable, not cutting edge technology

As with most ABIT motherboards there are features that most people would miss, the board does not include a graphics adapter, so if you are using this board you will require an AGP Graphics card. Cruddy motherboard that should be scrapped

...I own one of these and THEY ARE NOT WORTH THE MONEY. It is slow to start up It is finnicky It is, like all motherboards, poorly designed so that you can\'t get the full use out of the expansion slots. It does odd things - sometimes the fans don\'t run at full speed, sometimes the LED post at the back flashes when the PC is off - sometimes it freezes for no reason. It hates CPU\'s, RAM, GPU\'s and anything else you put on it. I had to clear the CMOS just to get it to accept my Core 2 Duo E6600 chip. It hates having more than 2Gb of RAM in it, so I was forced to RMA my other 2 Gb of Crucial Ballistix RAM. It hates my Graphics Cards - 2 Sparkle Calibre 7950GT cards. ...After looking around the market, and getting totally bamboozled with terms such as AN7 this A78N that and NF7 the other I decided to look for a motherboard that not only had a good feature list, but one that was within my price range. The first thing that you notice about the Abit NF7-S when you remove the motherboard is the fact that it has more features than you can shake a stick at. Serial ATA support for both single and raid drives, 5.1 Digital sound with AC3 encoding support thanks to the nvidia soundstorm and of course a nice northbridge cooling fan. When you open the box, you will notice a few items here that you will not really get with other motherboards - These are a Serial ATA cable, and a serielle adaptor. This adaptor allows you to use an IDE based hard-drive on the serial ATA channel and thus use a thinner cable...

...this is the newest motherboard to my collection and the 1 i use the most when i got this one i noticed that all the specs and the layout of the board are identical to the asus board i reviewed earlier but more care has been put into this board a soon as you poen the box i noticed better packaging no cheap coragated cardboard wraped around this one it looked as it was a trophy in its own cabinet once you remove the board from the box there is a hidden door behind the board holding all the extra accesories inc 4x sata cables (asus only had 2) 1 ide cable for your cd drive and 1 floppy cable and 1 sli bridge for joining 2gfx cards together on the picture of the product there a 3 black heatsinks the 1 on the bottom left the asus board does not have also this board has a spdif output (optical output for sound) which asus doesnt have also...

As such I'm going to go through the main features in detail and then talk a little bit about the other bits. The motherboard is very well designed and if anyone is interested comes with a slick black finish to the PCB (printed circuit board) and some interesting heatsinks draped across the board. The first thing I thought when I saw these heatsinks was 'bugger'.
