Situated on a quiet leafy side street, just off Paseo de la Castellana, NH Hesperia Emperatriz provides a perfect base for exploring Madrid, one of Europe's most interesting cities. Casa & Jardin interiors offer welcoming homely hues at this elegant yet comfortable hotel. Its Superior rooms provide a tranquil space for you to enjoy a good night's rest, with hardwood flooring and marble bathrooms adding an extra touch of luxury. For breakfast, head to the Atrium restaurant for a healthy Antiox buffet before setting out to explore the city. With two metro stops within 500 metres of the hotel, you can be admiring Picasso's Guernica at Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, or tapping your foot to authentic flamenco at a traditional tablao, within a matter of minutes. For dinner in, Atrium restaurant serves a selection of traditional Madrilenean and Spanish dishes as well as international cuisine.
Advantages: The hotel looks luxurious and is at various points certainly 4-star hotel Disadvantages: At the room where a little bit older-looking furniture and it was a bit dirty here and there

Advantages: Clean, modern, great AC, good location Disadvantages: None for me

It's about a mile from junction 17 on the ring road along a dead straight road. Once you leave the junction, head for the city centre, cross the bridge and you're practically there. All that's left to do is travel the 100m...
Advantages: Splendid architecture and surrounding nature Disadvantages: destinations are scattered and hard to reach by public transport
...Many tourists who plan a trip to Madrid like to combine it with some excursions in the surrounding area. Nearby Toledo and Salamanca, for example, are places that most of us may have heard of, if only from an Ernest Hemingway novel or from Cervantes' famous account of Don Quixote de La Mancha. But this wouldn't be worth an FTC review, had I not some more exclusive places to tell you about...
