Bryter Layter by Nick Drake

Advantages: Wonderfully evocative and intriguing
Disadvantages: Not one!

...Over 30 years after his sad death at the age of 26, people are still discovering this songwriting genius. This is my favourite of the three albums released during his lifetime and it is also the most diverse. The CD opens with a short but beautiful track, "Introduction" which sets the scene for what follows. The nine songs thereafter each have a gentility and are wonderfully presented, Nick's deep soft voice and distinctive acoustic guitar style are backed by sympathetic string and brass arrangements, orchestrated by Robert Kirby who recently worked with Paul Weller. Sundry Fairports offer their instrumental expertise (Dave Mattacks, Dave Pegg and Richard Thompson on one track) and John Cale plays harpsichord and viola on "Fly". SONGS TO BRIGHTEN A NORTHERN SKY

Advantages: Great songs and music
Disadvantages: Not very well known

...If a review of Nick Drake had been written say ten years ago most people's reaction would have been Nick who? Today his albums are selling better than they ever did when they were first released and his reputation as one of England's best singer songwriter is growing by the minute. Unfortunately for us and for Nick Drake, this deserved success came too late for him, Drake died tragically young in 1974 after taking an overdose, he had been suffering from manic depression for some time and possibly the perceived commercial failure of all his music releases worsened his state of mind. A hidden gem of true music

Advantages: Vocals, Lyrics, Sound, perfection on a disk
Disadvantages: None for those with out taste

...When we talk about the greats of music through the 60's and 70's we seem to be bogged down with mentions of bands like The Who, The Beatles and ABBA amongst others. Now whilst they all have their place in peoples memory's (yes sadly ABBA are in my memory), an understated young man is missed from most mentions, and yet is argueably the most talented musician of the time. Pink Moon

Advantages: Folk rock at it's best, magical lyrics, soothing vocals and enchanting lullabies, a real treat for the ears

...I was always interested in buying this game but since I already had Assassins Creed I didn't think it would be worthwhile since they looked pretty similar. But once it came down in price and the 'Trophy System' had been added I decided to buy it. I'll start off by saying that the trophies are extremely easy to get. You get them by simply killing people a certain number of times with a certain gun or by a combo, things like that. The gameplay is alright. I sometimes got annoyed when I tried to jump for something and then your character (Nathan Drake) jumps away from it. At the beginning killing the bad-guys is nothing other than a nuisance, but it becomes a little more fun trying to kill them nearer the end when there are more of them with better guns. ...Nearly a year after it's original release and Uncharted: Drakes Fortune remains one of the highlights of the Ps3 lineup. I originally played this on release but with it's recent addition to Sonys Trophy system i decided it was worth a revisit, and i wasn't disappointed. The graphics, although still impressive, have been superceded by titles such as Metal Gear Solid 4 but the fun and freshness of Uncharted remain. The main appeal of the game is the storyline which is a pure adventure driven by the main character Nathan Drake. ...Drake and josh is a kids program showing on nicklodeon on various schedules (channel 604) and its about two teenage boys who are completely different on the outside....... their mum and dad are married (drakes mum and josh's dad) and their little sister pulls loads of pranks on them, josh never has a girlfriend and always gets caught doing stuff but he has one good feature..... he is smarter than drake while drake has a girlfriend for everyday of the week and does a lot of stuff behind his parents back but drake is not the smartest cookie ever... trust me.
