The front cover has a yellow background and features a small girl wearing a blue coat, a green shirt with matching beret and a grey cardigan over a yellow blouse and she is holding a brown bag. The letters of the title Nicky are written in different colours. On the back cover the same little girl seems to be throwing a rubber, ruler and crayons in the air and the TES have described the book as "witty and original". Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

...At first I wasn't convinced by up-scaling DVD player technology but was persuaded after reading an article in "What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision" magazine. Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. I love my healthy, bouncy and easier to style hair that now takes minimal styling and I'm back to spending an absolute fortune on haircare products for my hair again because I can see the point in them now! On a recent shopping trip to Boots I saw this retailing at £5.49 a tube and continued walking by to be honest! I didn't need it and decided it was wasting my dosh! However when I saw it in my local 99p shop on the same day (yep it cost 99p!) I couldn't find a single reason not to treat myself to one! ...I don't know about you but I'm sick of beer reviews so just for a change I'm doing an op about shampoo. I know what you're thinking, what would a baldy old git like proxam know about hair care products? Very little as it happens but hey....how hard can it be. And just to set the record straight I'm not bald - not yet, anyway! Once every couple of months or so I like to wash my hair, whether it needs it or not, and the product I like to use is....whatever I can lay my hands on. My wife changes her brand of shampoo as often as most men change their underwear but right now her preferred brand is Nicky Clarke Thickening Shampoo. It comes in an aluminium, cylindrical bottle (300ml) disguising the colour and look of the contents which makes me wonder what they've got to hide. Oh wait, it states on the bottle that the design protects...

Advantages: Good special effects and some brilliant gags
Disadvantages: Shame they couldn't have found someone better to be his evil brothers

...Another Adam Sandler vehicle. Sandler plays the son of the devil (well one of them!). Nicky isn't like the others - he's sweet, innocent and has a speech impediment. The other two brothers are evil, ruthless and psychotic. When the devil (played by Harvey Keitel) decides not to retire and hand on the family business, the two ruthless brothers escape from hell to create their own hell on Earth. This causes hell to become sealed and the devil begins to fall apart (literally!). There is only one person who can save the day - Nicky. Adam Sandler is Little Nicky

Advantages: Funny with talking dog, combination of devils and angels
Disadvantages: wasn't sandlers best movie, wasn't brilliant plot

...I borrowed this film because I think Adam Sandler is a really funny actor but when i watched it I didn't think it was his best movie so far even though it did have many elements of comedy. The plot was a bit pointless, His dad is disintergrating because his brothers have left hell to go to earth. While they are on earth they are trying to take over by evil destroying good. It is Little Nickys job to get both of his brothers in a flask to return them to hell at the same time. Even though Adam Sandler is the main character his brothers and the dog seem to play equal parts. The dog is funny bacause it talks but also has a serious side as it is Little Nickys guardian in a way. It is clear the dog has more brains than Little Nicky but it is one of many parts Adam Sandler has played the stupid character. It is a typical Adam Sandler...

Little Nicky, made me laugh

Advantages: Funny and original

...I saw this film on sale a few years ago in the january sales, i hadn't heard of it and it was the cover that caught my eye. I have had great enjoyment out of many of the films that Adam Sandler has done, I find his comedy films are just what i need when i need a easy going comedy to watch in the evenings that will make me laugh. So what's it all about, on the cover it says " If your father was the devil and your mother was an angel you'd be messed up too " but really i think Little Nicky is more angel than devil. The gist of the story goes like this Little Nicky lives in hell with his father and two brothers one of which is played by the very up and coming Rhys Ifans, his mother who lives is heaven is played by Reese Witherspoon and is the head angel.
