Another Bad Hair day for Nicolas Cage

Advantages: good special Effects
Disadvantages: Not a very original plot

...For someone who doesn't like Nicolas Cage I seem to have been to the cinema to see all of his latest films over the last twelve months. Probably because when one of his films is showing at the cinema every billboard and tram stop is adorned with his wide eyes, badly drawn mug, and hair do and there is no escape. Having seen some of the trailers for Knowing, I had a pretty good idea what the film was going to be about. For the first 30 minutes my assumptions were correct but then I was a little surprised at what followed next. Some threads of the film wandered off in directions that left me totally bemused. My advice is try not to see any trailers and you will enjoy this mentally taxing piece of conjectural fiction from Alex Proyas a lot more. The Nicolas Cage of crisps

Advantages: I like them
Disadvantages: They aren't very filling

...The name's Walker. Henry Walker licenced to.. kill (sell crisps). The mission began back in 1948 after rationing made potato crips a popular idea. Forget Gary Lineker, I am the man. It is estimated that eleven million people will eat a Walkers product every day. Glancing at the website (www.walkers.co.uk) the sight of a 1980's packet of Salt and Vinegar has me brimming over with nostalgia. Ahhhh. Play time. Now let's get to the crunch of the matter... bad jokes aside . I love Quavers. Yes indeedy I do. Crate or Cage?

Advantages: Helps toilet training, secure and safe place for your dog
Disadvantages: Could be misused if you leave your dog in it for a long time, takes up quite a bit of space

Review of Adaptation (DVD)

"Knowing" - A review on the film starring Nicolas Cage

Advantages: Great story line, great cast and great special effects
Disadvantages: An ending I could see coming

...as that, I felt that nearer the end of the film you could kind of guess what was going to happen next and the end was rather predictable, however friends have thought it was an "unseeable twist". As a whole, I would say the film was great. Nicolas Cage as an actor was superb, like always, and the story line was great. The production team had obviously put a lot of work into the making of this film and it even included some great special effects which involved a close up of a plane crash, which looked pretty real. As the plane came down as it was crashing it went right past Nicolas Cage and right infront of the camera until it hit the ground and blew up. It looked very good and believeable. As well as that, I'd like to note it goes more in depth on the Special features part of the DVD which is really good and tells you more about it...

Pink Palace Rotastak Cage

Advantages: Bright and spacious
Disadvantages: Fiddly to clean

...I bought my daughter a hamster for her birthday along with one of the small Rotastak cages. We then discoverd that the cage wasn't really big enough for the hamster. Whilst in our local garden centre I came across the Pink Palace cage. It was also half price so cost me £25 (£5 less than the original cage I bought). Of course, as soon as my daughter opened the present she wanted it assembled. The cage itself wasn't a problem, the spiral tube was what caused me a nightmare. The pieces are quite tight (which obviously stops them coming apart at a later date) but this did mean they were very hard to put together in the first place. The cage probably took me about 40 minutes to put together in the end (which doesn't seem too bad but feels like an eternity when you have an 8 year old nagging you to be quick). The end result...

...I bought this cage several months ago when I purchased 4 pet rats - I wanted something that was large enough for them all, looked decent and didnt cost the earth. After extensive searching in shops and online I settled for the jenny rat cage. The cage is big enough to house 4 rats, it comes with food bowls, levels and tubes which all helps to cut down on the cost of buying accessories! There is also enough space to add more accessories if needed. There are 3 'doors' - a large one on the top and one near the base of the front and back which helps when taking rats out and putting them back in! The top of the cage also lifts off from a plastic base which makes it very easy to wipe down and clean out. ...The Rotastak Pink Palace cage is wonderfully bright, interesting to look at and is perfect for any little girls small animal. The cage itself is made of very thick plastic which is hardwearing and doesn't scratch easily.
