...This tree is often discounted in gardens because it is so commonly seen growing along roads and hedgerows. It does however have a lot of advantages. In the spring it produces beautiful, sweet smelling blossom in either white or pale pink, followed by berries which the birds love. It is also a marvellous burglar deterrent once established. Its prickly stems would put off even the most determined criminal and I certainly have some planted along my back and side fence. Additionally it keeps cats at bay which is obviously a benefit to most gardeners (although I do love cats). The Hawthorn is one of the earliest trees to start budding leaves and is a cheerful reminder that spring and summer is on the way in the late winter months. Advantages: Eloquent and thought provoking.
Disadvantages: Historical accuracy.

The Moustachio man from the Isle of Man, joined the Formula 1 Circus in 1980, driving for the infamous Colin Chapman and team Lotus. Superb debut from the Hawthorne

...Hawthorne heights' debut release from Victory records (home of bands such as Taking Back Sunday and the Voodoo Glow Skulls) is a very impressive listen to say the least. I heard of this band on a friend's recommendation, who played for me "Ohio is for Lovers", perhaps the band's most well-known track. Having already been acquainted with the likes of Taking Back Sunday, I was half-expectant of what might be in store for me when I bought the CD. When I initially put the CD on in my car, the first song, "Life on Standby" really leaps out and grabs you by the throat. Having had my musical taste nurtured by mostly pop-punk and the like, this was initially a shock for me. Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead

But you won?t usually find bare rooted plants in Garden Centres. And certainly not in DIY stores - please, gardeners, buy your composts and sundries in DIY stores by all means, but not your plants. To get bare rooted plants, you will almost certainly have to visit a retail nursery, or deal with a reputable mail-order company.
