A disappointing night cream

Advantages: moisturises a bit
Disadvantages: doesn't do much else

...I decided to start using night cream a few months ago after reading in a magazine somewhere that you're supposed to start using it in your early twenties. I used a No.7 cream briefly that I got in a gift set, but it was only a small tub so ran out quickly, and this was the product I bought to replace it. I can't quite remember why I chose this over others, perhaps it was the price, because I was slightly shocked at how much some of the other night creams available cost. I've used Botanics products before and found them a little hit and miss, and I must admit it is not one of my favourite brands. The cream comes in a glass jar with a silver screw top lid. I quite like the jar, I think it has a slightly rustic look to it. I can also tell you that the jar is quite hardwearing, as I have just this minute dropped it onto my hard wood...

A pretty good night cream

...So after reading all the positive reviews on here about this Olay night cream I just knew that I had to buy it as i do not currently have a night cream and love my lotions and potions! Okay so I managed to find a pot of this stuff on Amazon for only £13.49 when it normally costs around £20! Now Olay claim that using this will mean that once you wake up your face will look like it has had a mini facial- impressive! So it came to bedtime and i opened up the pot- yes this is a pot not a pump which I actually quite like as I can really see what it is exactly that i'm putting on my face. So the cream is lilac in colour and looks quite thick a bit like whipped cream. The scent I really like as it is a sexy kind of musky evening smell. Although it looks and feels quite thick it sinks into your skin very quick which was a pleasant surprise...

...Having bought the day cream and some other Boots no 7 products, I convinced myself that I was finally going to be kind to my skin. Hence the purchase of the day cream (for day wear) and the night cream (for night wear). I decided on the advanced hydration because with winter almost upon us, I figured that my skin would be stripped of all moisture, and I would begin to bear more than a slight resemblance to a shrivelled prune. Promises, promises... Thank goodness it's not promising to make me lose 20 year with 4 weeks application. i am getting a tad tired of the same old promises which just don't seem to have the power to deliver. Bio-Oil: Good Replacement for a Night Cream!

Very rich night cream, great for dry skin

...you actually scoop some of this out it isn't as thick as it looks. It applies quite easily to the face but it is a very rich cream and only a small amount is needed. I found that this cream was very good if you have dry skin. However, it does leave a slight sheen on the face and I wouldn't advise people who have greasy skin to use this product. When I woke up in the morning my face felt a lot softer and it seemed to have done the trick. The price for a 50 ml tub is £9.75 from the Body Shop but it does last a long time. However, I would try to get this prouduct maybe from Ebay as it can be sometimes a lot cheaper. My own opinion is that I really liked this cream, but then I have dry skin. I think this is definately a night cream only and think I would find this too heavy for a day time cream. I think the price at first seems a little...

...I bought this quite recently after loving the day cream of this range so much. I thought that it'd be cool to have the set, and I did need a night cream anyway.
