Advantages: fascinating story, good characters, brill style

Review of Gifted - Nikita Lalwani

Nikita - well worth watching

Advantages: Directed by Luc Besson, stylish and compelling film
Disadvantages: In French (with subtitles), more expensive to buy on VHS/DVD as it's foreign

...Nikita is an early film from Luc Besson, who has since moved onto major Hollywood productions, including Léon and The Fifth Element among others (less said about Jeanne d'Arc/Joan of Arc the better though). I've been a fan of Luc Besson's directing skills for years, and Nikita is one of the first of his films that I saw (leant to me by my A-level French teacher, no less). It probably remains...

Nikita Rocks

Advantages: Good ambient sounds
Disadvantages: not mainstream enough for some

...on the Latin religious-sounding words the backing singer has in the interlude. A haunting little number. 3 - Silicone. By Mono. Gentle, melodic, swing beat song. ?I?m smiling, while lying, to you??. Just dig that harpsichord! Like this one. Catchy. 4 - The Love Thieves. By Depeche Mode. Classic Nikita track. Powerful, deep and almost mechanical sounds, with gentler overtones. More melodrama, but...
