A short but poignant journey

It comes in a handy A5 size with a plastic coated hard cover which should make it reasonably resilient to being taken in and out of most school bags. As well as reproducing the play this book comes with many extras which I will deal with first. At the beginning of the book is a seven page introduction. This firstly covers, although rather briefly, some details about the author R C Sherriff. I think it is important to keep in mind, when reading and trying to understand this play, that the author was an officer during WW1 and was wounded in the battle of Passchendaele in 1917. This play is therefore based upon real life experiences that he lived and fought through. It was written in 1928...

Review of Barcelona in general

Steamy Thomas...no, not that sort of review!

Advantages: Steam is effective looking, but very safe.
Disadvantages: As usual a few batteries required.

'67 Mustang from The Fast and the Furious 3

Advantages: True to scale, very detailed, fun to drive
Disadvantages: Tires sometimes difficult to install, no front "crash bumper"

...that it isn't blindingly fast and has no proportional speed or steering. Turns are either full left or full right and throttle or forward/reverse motion is either OFF or FULL POWER. The drifting tires come with an included wheel wrench that is necessary to remove and install the tires. It is easy to remove the tires with the wrench but difficult to turn the hubcaps to the locked position. I actually damaged one of my wheels' locking tabs by applying too much force when locking the hubcap/wheel on. I wish Nikko had made this feature easier....

Advantages: Can be used indoors, cheap, good fun, can challenge your mates to a race
Disadvantages: Can't be used outside, limited flying time before recharge needed, difficult to master controls

...inspection it appears that it is the same product with different colour stickers on. Basically you can have a blue one, a green one or a red one. Each different colour runs on a different frequency channel, allowing you to fly your helicopter whilst your mates are flying theirs, providing you each have a different colour that is. Alternatively you may have two helicopters and fly them both with one transmitter, obviously not at the same time though. You could fly the blue one, on channel B, at first and once the battery needs re-charging switch the channel to C and fly the green one. Or you could interfere with your mate?s helicopter by selecting the channel his helicopter is on and sabotaging with your transmitter, which is really good fun but does, in my experience, lead to a few arguments. ****Battery requirement...

Review of Nikko 1972 Firebird RC Car

Playstation 3

Advantages: Cheap Blu-Ray player, great graphics, free wifi, internet browser
Disadvantages: Expensive, some games are better on 360, 40 GB model doesn't have backwards compatability

...and is not noisy at all. Compared with most audio-visual equipment this is really good value for what it does and the hard disk is easily upgraded without voiding the warranty (SATA 3.5" disk I think - which are cheapish). If you are a pure hardcore gamer then the software has been a mixed bag in 2007. 360 wins here so far. A few stellar exclusives (resistance, motorstorm and more recently R&C, Unchartered etc..) and a few very good third party products (cod 4, oblivion) and some problematic ports which are apparantly much better on 360/PC (e.g. orange box). This is the reason for a 1 point drop. I am not too bothered as I only have time to play about 5 titles a year thoroughly. 2008 is likely to be much better on this front with some (in all probability) very good exclusives UT 3 (timed), FF series, MGS 4, Gran Turismo, Killzone 2, Little...

Is the PLAYSTATION3 Worth £300?

Advantages: Powerful System with Great Graphics and Sound.
Disadvantages: Incompatible with PS and PS2 games.

Grand Theft Auto 4 The Truth

Will I ever believe?
