Death on the Nile - Deathly Boring

Advantages: Used up a couple of hours on an otherwise dull Sunday
Disadvantages: Nothing challenging about it

...I've played a few of Agatha Christie's puzzle games, one of which involved Hercule Poirot and I really enjoyed them. This one however I found dreadfully poor and I'm not really sure what the creators were thinking of when they dreamt it up. Nile Cruise another perspective

Advantages: History and having a Thomson rep at all times
Disadvantages: too short

...I went on a Nile Cruise with Thomson. It was a five star boat part of the Presidential line called the Nile Commodore. In the brochure the details included all excusions which were packed into the 7 days, I thought oh yea dragged around from tomb to tomb but it was booked so off we went. We arrived to a wonderful friendly greeting. Thomson had a rep on board who came everywhere with us and was always around to help. Not a pretty young thing with fluttering eyelashes but a more mature young woman who was well respected by all the crew. The boat was fantastic wood panelling everywhere and whenever you say members of the crew they greeted you warmly. Nile - Black Seeds of vengeance. Infinite Awesome

Advantages: Brutal, relentless, esoteric sound
Disadvantages: Not for those with a heart condition.

...This is about the time Nile took most of the metal world by storm and brought a new level of brutal to the table for people to worship. The strong Middle Eastern and Egyptian sound really adds a new level to the music and brings a sort of haunting tone to the overall sound. Blast beats and double kick insanity are to be found all over every single track, bar the interludes which are of a strong Ancient Egyptian styling that really adds to the feeling that you will get. Most of the songs conjure a feeling of war and chaos, which is always a perfect subject for Death Metal. ?Masturbating The War God? and ?The Black Flame? are two tracks that for me, really shine. They present all the style and skill that Nile have become renowned for over the years. This is a must have piece of hate on a CD, and as such, get it, or miss out....

Nile - In the Beginning. From humble beginnings

Advantages: Nice selection of rarities, its Nile
Disadvantages: Not the greatest Production, but not the worst either.

...Nile are a band that pretty much define Brutal Death Metal, so you kinda know that anything they put out is going to be of the most extreme affair. This isn't much a best of, as most of the tracks that you may already have are in fact the original studio versions, so there is something new of sorts to listen to. Quite a few of the tracks sound notably different from the album version you may have heard. For fans of the band, this is a rather nice addition to your collection, a little look into the early days of the band. Ramses Bringer of War is still a track that creates such an epic tone that it deserves to be the national anthem of all wars. The sheer level of playing is still evident even this far back. All in all this is a nice touch to an already flawless release record and a must own for fans of the band....

Their best so far!

Advantages: you will bow down to these masters of death metal
Disadvantages: once you have played it to death, you have to wait for the next release!

...I have been a fan of Nile for many years, probably since Black seeds, I have since bought all of their albums and eagerly awaited each release and have not been dissapointed yet. I really believe that since George Kollias joined the band, Nile have been able to acheive a level previously not able reach with previous drummers, and right from the get go in 'what may be safely written' the seamless machine gun perfect precision double bass blasts and single blasts are just unbelievable. Everytime I listen to this album I get chills because what they produce is almost inhuman. Karl and Dallas, as usual, pull of alltime beautiful melodies, crunching rhythms and that quintessential egyptian sound. The way their guitars intertwine with each other is just unbelievable! 1. What may be safely written: Hands down best song on the album...

  A Cruise to remember

Advantages: See all the ancient towns cities and temples
Disadvantages: The heat, but only if you let it grt to you

...During one of our holidays to Crocodile Island at Luxor in Egypt we signed up to go on a Nile Cruise with our tour operator, Thomsons. It was for four days and three nights and cost £330 all inclusive this included an outside cabin, (a window cabin), all meals some buffet some a la Carte, our own guide, (English speaking Egyptologist), all the trips and entrance charges to the temples and museums. We were so excited as we had not planned to do a cruise before we came to Egypt, but we were shown a short film and given all the details at our welcome rep meeting when we first arrived. They made the cruise sound so exotic and beautiful and yes they were right it was everything and more. We were advised on what we should wear and that we would need plenty of water as all the trips to the temples and museums would be at the hottest time...
