Rechargeable NiMH Batteries

...So you've got all your holiday appliances, Battery powered digital camera, Digital Video Camera or Standard Video Camera, MP3 or CD player, and other battery powered appliances, trouble is.....it costs a small fortune to keep these things powered, and standard Nickel Cadmium ( NiCads) Batteries just don't last very long or hold enough power to work the camera, and on top of this these batteries have a memory which needs to be completely discharged otherwise afer a short period of a few recharging cycles thy wont hold a charge... Uniross AA rechargable batteries

Advantages: Easy to charge, long-life
Disadvantages: None I can think of

...to make it work again - these seemed to remedy this. To re-charge the batteries, I use a Uniross Ni-Cd & Ni MH battery charger that I purchased by recommendation at the same time as the batteries. It takes about 4-5 hours for batteries to fully charge, which isn't bad considering they then last for weeks. The batteries can be charged up to 1,000 times. After the success of the AA batteries, we now use primarily all Uniross batteries to control our battery-fuelled appliances, including Uniross AAA batteries for our television, VCR and DVD remote controls, which last about 6 months. Advantages: Cheap, reliable, long lasting, reasonable price.
Disadvantages: Still gets warm. Plastic plug = breakable?

...believe that most of my batteries have charged in about 60 minutes, on a full charge from an empty battery. As well as getting the charger, which plugs straight into the wall it includes 4 x 2500mAh Ni-Mh AA's (which are in sliver, and look quite attractive, you won't get these thrown out as they definately stand out from panasonic and duracell) You can charge AAA batteries however the sale only comes with 4 AA batteries. It has a sensor control, a red and green light, to tell you when it is still charging and when the charge is fully complete. Is very straight forward to use, only one switch to chose the type of battery to charge, insert the batteries, up to 4 depending of type, plug it in and wait until its charged. It comes with a charge indicator and will stop charging when the batteries are ready; a green light will come up. It can recharge batteries type AAA, AA and GF22, respectively up to 4, 4 and 2. I use them in my Xbox 360 Controllers which are used by me and my brothers so they were on for most of the week.
