...without any loss in performance, cost about the same as NiCads, but are much more effiecient at what they do... ~~~o0o~~~ By way of an example....my Sanyo Digital camera runs off 2 standard AA 1.5 volt Bateries, these work the Flash Gun, Back Screen Monitor, View Finder and Camera Functions, using 2 Duracel Batteries my camera will take about half a dozen high spec pictures using the flash gun and back screen view finder.... Using NiCad rechargeable AA Batteries, on the same high Format pictures, the camera will take about 15 pictures before a fresh set of batteries are called for.. Using MiMH rechargeable Batteries in the same circumstances the camera will take about 60 High Format pictures.... ~~~o0o~~~ So the proof of the pudding is in the eating...these NiMH batteries are excellent, you can buy a special NiMH Battery Charger...

...Having had a previous Uniross charger for several years which had provided a stirling service until it was dropped and broken, I wanted to stay with a manufacturer I knew and felt comfortable with. After hunting down several models I narrowed it down to this 1 hour charger (model no. AAB04541-3) which charges both AA and AAA batteries, either two or four at a tiime. It will also charge either Ni-MH or Ni-Cd batteries. It comes with a mains plug charger adaptor (100-240v) and a lead for plugging into your car cigar lighter socket. The Uniross 1 Hr Charger also has a built in intelligent charger system to save over loading the batteries which is a useful feature when one may tend to walk off and forget you have left some batteries charging. ...This review is for: AA batteries = 2 x (2.8V) and charger for Ni-Cd or Ni-Mh batteries. I bought this charger and batteries to play with my new CD/MP3 player. When arriving home, I opened the box, read the instructions and decided "yes, fairly simple, I'll give it a go". Let me note that there is a switch on this charger, and you can choose either Ni-Cd or Ni-Mh. Fairly simple to understand. So, before plugging them in to charge, I put the switch to the correct side of the charger, and then plugged them in. A red light came on in the right slot, which also happened to be right next to the Ni-Cd, to indicate which side of the switch you choose. Just a coincidence, but I had to think for a moment that maybe it was charging Ni-Cd instead of Ni-Mh. I'm not sure how much of a wise design this is, but that was the only problem I...

...I bought this so that I wouldnt' have to keep paying for batteries all the time for my camera. Most battery chargers cost a lot more than this one did (I bought this one for about £12, from Amazon), so it was good to get a deal on it. The package includes the charger itself, 4 AA batteries and a car adapter, so you can charge your batteries in the car. The batteries are easy to insert, there are two spring-loaded extensions that spring out. These are so you can charge AAA batteries as well, and they fold away when you're charging AA batteries. I find that charging batteries doesn't take very much time at all, I just leave them in for a short while and after a short while the red light turns green to show that the charge is complete.
