In my opinion the DS Lite has a much smoother, sleeker and much more appealling look to it, whereas the Original DS had a retro feel to it. The DS Lite has many features, including Pictochat and DS Download Play. Pictochat allows you to write a message with the stylus and send it over a wifi connection, great for when your in an airport or other public place (or if you want to talk about someone in the same room as you!). ...The Nintendo DS is about 5 inches by 3 inches and about 1.5 inches in thickness. As you flip it open you can adjust the top screen to an angle you prefer, This screen is accompanied by the speakers on each side of it. The screen below is the touch screen to the left and right we have the Nintendo style buttons. The D pad and lettered buttons,the power button, start and select below is a headphones socket and a volume slider. There is also the left and right shoulder buttons, usb port and game cartaridge slot to the top of the bottom screen.Next to this is the nintendo ds pen that you use on the touch screen on the bottom of the bottom screen there is also a gameboy advance game cartaridge slot. ...The Nintendo DS is an excellent gaming gadget! I got mine from the launch date (11th March). Waiting for the parcel in the moring was making me very nervous with excitement. I had to go to college that day and was late! But it came at 2pm! Hurray! After opening the compact box, the DS was inside! Sleek and compact; the DS looked excellent and with Nintendo you can always gaurantee a quality product! (ive had my Gameboy Pocket for years!) The DS can produce awsum graphics, 3D games were excellent like Mario 64 DS. But most of all the DS comes with a demo of Metroid Prime Hunters; very nice of Nintendo as cartridge based games cost more to make then optical media e.g. PS2, PSP. I am very pleased with the price of £99.99 and is very affordable. But the best thing is that you don't have to charge it all the time as the battery can go... Read review

...The Nintendo DS gaming console is an amazing experience for people of all ages. I bought mine after seeing the fun my brother and sister were having whilst playing wirelessly next to each other. No wires! There is an amazing amount of games to purchase and with the wireless capabilities, the amount of fun is endless. The touchscreen feature within the Ninendo DS allows players to complete various tasks with just a touch of the DS Stylus (Pen). And if you ever find that the pen isnt doing what you want, then you only have to calibrate the screen at the System Settings point. The most common Nintendo game has always been Super Mario and the games out for the DS can be used by 4 people even if only one person has the actual game cartridge. ...At first when I purchased the Nintendo ds lite I must admit I think I'd made a big mistake, there wasn't a lot of games available and I knew I'd get bored of it, Recently there's being a few games out and there's an internet browser which I love as you can email friends when your on holiday if the room has a wifi connection, I also love the fact the there's lots of flash cartridges available which are rewritable and I can upload msn onto the flash card and use it like I would use it on the computer. ...The Nintendo DS lite seems to have been forgotten recently with the releases of the Sony Ps3, Microsoft's Xbox 360 and the Nintendo wii and it's a shame this bit of kit has become somewhat of a necessity for me. I'm currently a student and the Nintendo DS lite has be my main weapon in my combat against boredom between long periods between lessons and its really effective, now the hours I used to spend sat around with friends bored have become fierce multiplayer DS battles via Nintendo's superb wifi games. Overall the DS is stylish, attractive and has a great user system revolving around its dual screen and touch screen capabilities. It's a handheld system that can be played with one player just as easily as 4 and its entertainment value is great plus the games that you can by for it come in the most brilliant classic and abstract... ...i heard about the DS from my fave mag CUBE. it was a bucket of mixed emotions like, how the hell am i going 2 concentrate on 2 screens at once?, and how will it look like?, battery life with 2 screens, will it be about 1hour?, but with all of these and hundreds of others nintendo came to E3 2004 with the Nintendo DS( the developers system not Dual screen). this wowed even the people who would never contemplate playing on a nintendo system because of the kiddy image seen by them and other narrow minded gamers. The nintendo DS has so far out-sold sonys psp by 200,000 units of psps sold to over 1,500,000 units of DS' sold. this does reflect the intrest in the system and with many hundreds of titles already in development it looks like a bright future for nintendo gamers. i tought that the DS would cause me to splash out a couple... ...The Nintendo DS Lite is a portable gaming system with two screens that have been vertically alligned, one at the top and one at the bottom. On the bottom is a touch screen that allows you to use a stylus pen for selecting options to playing games. ...After already owning a PSP I felt I had all the handheld gaming I needed however many of my peers owned Nintendo DS' so I thought I would buy one in conjuction with the release of Pokemon Diamond after being a big fan of the series and I liked the potential of the DS. The main reason for the DS' success has been marketing as well as affordability and game selection. The marketing campaign which is very popular with nintendo is connectivity which is extremely true with 98% of all DS games using connectivity around the world, with friends and even with a Nintendo Wii. The selection of games for the DS are great for both old and young with many ideas from looking after a pet dog to testing your brain and now you can play a guitar on it.
