...Okay, so the Nintendo DS lite is an updated remake of the Nintendo DS; it definatly boosted up the popularity of this handheld console. Nintendo totally re-done the design, for the best! Instead of the bulky, heavy look the original DS had, they made the DS lite smaller and much more easier to hold. And what's more! They come in many other colours other than white such as Pink (Which I have), Black, Navy blue and some other colours. ... But that wasn't all they did to it, oh no, they done more! They done so much more that they even made the DS lite stylus taller and thicker to fit comfortably in your hand while playing games, and it most more than unlikely to fall out of it's slot and get lost; I must've lost my Original DS' stylus an extreme number of times and in the end had to buy a new one which dissapointed me. I think the reason she likes it so much as she has the "pink" version which is nice and girlie. ...As soon as I got my Nintendo DS i was totally addicted to it. I got the pink ds lite and bought it for £130 along with Pokemon Diamond and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. * I find the design of the lite much nicer than the original design, with the new design being almost 1/3 smaller. * What I like most about this product however is the touch screen. This makes games so much more exiting to play, and keep you hooked for longer than Nintendos gameboy ever did. * Also, I found that the battery life is really good. ...At first when I purchased the Nintendo ds lite I must admit I think I'd made a big mistake, there wasn't a lot of games available and I knew I'd get bored of it, Recently there's being a few games out and there's an internet browser which I love as you can email friends when your on holiday if the room has a wifi connection, I also love the fact the there's lots of flash cartridges available which are rewritable and I can upload msn onto the flash card and use it like I would use it on the computer. ...The Nintendo DS lite seems to have been forgotten recently with the releases of the Sony Ps3, Microsoft's Xbox 360 and the Nintendo wii and it's a shame this bit of kit has become somewhat of a necessity for me. I'm currently a student and the Nintendo DS lite has be my main weapon in my combat against boredom between long periods between lessons and its really effective, now the hours I used to spend sat around with friends bored have become fierce multiplayer DS battles via Nintendo's superb wifi games. Overall the DS is stylish, attractive and has a great user system revolving around its dual screen and touch screen capabilities. ...Wow, where do I start. Such an individual product, with extras I didn't even realise it had when I bought it!! It has such a variety of games to play, eg. puzzles, platform, racing self-improvement...etc. Well, I bought my PINK Ds just after Christmas (I was VERY lucky, I think it was the only one in town left!). I mainly wanted one because my mum got one for Christmas and I liked the Brain Training game you can play on it. Before getting my DS, I really didn't know much about it. I knew it was touch screen, so I thought it was simply just playing games using the touch screen. ...I'm a gamer, a true die hard gamer. I've played them all from the Sinclair spectrum 48K through most of the modern day consoles. However, I've always stayed clear of Nintendo as I always considered the type of games available for them as childish and basic.......oh, how wrong I was! My wife bought a pink DS lite in November 2006 - I was hooked. I had one small problem...I couldn't be seen in public playing on a pink DS. By December I had my own white DS and I love it to pieces. It's a cracking piece of kit - I love the touch screen and the different ways that software companies find uses for it. I admit that the graphics are not up to the likes of the PSP but what it lacks on graphics it surely makes up in good old game play - after all, that's what it's all about!
