Nintendo DS Lite - Hours of entertainment
Review of Nintendo DS Lite by
rose1986
Advantages: Great quality, sleek design, fantastic features
Disadvantages: None
...Recently, my younger Sister purchased a Nintendo DS Lite for herself and she loves it. There are so many games out there so there is something for everyone so you'll never get bored with your purchase. I think the reason she likes it so much as she has the "pink" version which is nice and girlie. It is also a nice size and very light, which can fit into her bag when travelling etc.
What is a Nintendo DS Lite?
A Nintendo DS Lite is similar to the Nintendo DS which was released in 2004. However, the original Nintendo DS was a lot heavier and bulkier and didn't have as many function.
The Nintendo DS Lite was released in 2006 and has been extremely popular since. In fact, they think the Nintendo DS Lite will be a sell out this Christmas. The Nintendo DS Lite is a lot lighter than the previous Nintendo DS and much sleeker. However...

Nintendo DS rocks my wok!
Review of Nintendo DS by
china_wolf
Advantages: Dual screen gaming madness with 3D graphics, advanced audio and high speed gaming!
Disadvantages: Only a few, read review!
..."What really? No way!"
That was my response to a few mates who were going on how they are going to buy Nintendo DS' instead of Sony's new handheld PSP, them being devoted Nintendo fans and all.
All they rambled on about were the dual screens with the innovative touch sensitive screen, the enhanced colour support, the built-in microphone, the 3D graphics, wireless networking battles and enhanced audio reproduction. But they failed to mention how brick like it was in size and proportion, but ah well I still got one for the hell of it!
Since I bought this before it was out in the UK, I had to get it imported (sorry can't tell you my supplier, CIAO rules), but I managed to get my hands on an ASIAN version that uses the same power supply as in the UK with the same 3 pin plug. So if you want to import then buy an ASIAN model from...

Brilliant The Nintendo DS
Review of Nintendo DS Lite by
khiadah
Advantages: Slique, easy to use, all around beautiful
Disadvantages: Hardly any sport games
...First thing I love this console.
It is slique, cool and absolutely beautiful.
Compared to the normal DS lite they made it so much better and gave it a better shape.
The reason I love the Nintendo DS is because it is a touch screen. This makes it very interactive, the different games that you get allow you to do different things on the touch screen.
Such things like in Pokemon Ranger you can catch pokemon by drawing a circle around the pokemon. Or in Cooking mama 2: cooking with friends. You can use the stylus and touch screen to cut, grater, stir, break etc food.
The amount of games you can play on this system is phenominal. All different games: sports, adventure, action, puzzles, even brain puzzlers like Big Brain Acadamy.

Nintendo DS - Great fun!
Review of Nintendo DS by
IzzyS
Advantages: Great range of innovative games, good size and weight, good battery life
Disadvantages: None
...I bought a Nintendo DS last year after having bought a PSP earlier in the year and deciding that I thought I might play Nintendos latest portable console more than the PSP (which I'd slightly gone off by that point). As it happens, I was right and I much prefer the DS to the PSP.
I've come to the conclusion that console and games wise, Nintendo and Sony are better for different things, Sony for the technology and multimedia options behind their consoles while Nintendo are better for more original games (the ideas behind the games like Brain Training and so on) and their better at kids games too, I would say, whereas Sony have a better range of shooter and other more adult games. This is just my opinion based on what I've seen from the PS2 & PSP and the games available for these and the NES, GBA & DS, all of which I've had at some...

Nintendo DS Lite Review
Review of Nintendo DS Lite by
EmPorter
Advantages: Brighter screen, smaller, lighter in weight, clearer colours, bigger stylus
Disadvantages: GBA Cartridges sticks out slightly when inserted.
...Okay, so the Nintendo DS lite is an updated remake of the Nintendo DS; it definatly boosted up the popularity of this handheld console. Nintendo totally re-done the design, for the best! Instead of the bulky, heavy look the original DS had, they made the DS lite smaller and much more easier to hold. And what's more! They come in many other colours other than white such as Pink (Which I have), Black, Navy blue and some other colours.
... But that wasn't all they did to it, oh no, they done more! They done so much more that they even made the DS lite stylus taller and thicker to fit comfortably in your hand while playing games, and it most more than unlikely to fall out of it's slot and get lost; I must've lost my Original DS' stylus an extreme number of times and in the end had to buy a new one which dissapointed me.
Now onto...

DS Lite - Nintendo gives the DS some style
Review of Nintendo DS by
tungst3n
Advantages: Great games, Appeals to everyone, Pocket sized, Great Design
Disadvantages: 3D Capabilities not a powerful as PSP, No UK Web Browser (Yet)
...The re-designed DS is a thing of beauty. Now it can compete with the PSP on looks and the games are so much better.
The DS certainly confirmed to me the future of video games is handheld.
My Son (Five) and I have had two happy years with our two Gameboy Advance SP's, but Nintendo's new DS Lite made me rush out and purchase two to replace the aging SP's.
I bought both the black version and the white Version to easy distinguish between my sons and mine.
If you are to buy just one go for the white one. The black unit shows up finger prints, grease and marks very easily, whereas the white just looks great all the time.
The original DS didn't attract my attention, The PSP looked far better but since the launch the software on offer for the DS has improved and now has a fine catalogue of games for young and old, casual...

THE NINTENDO DS....A CONSOLE FOR ALL AGES
Review of Nintendo DS Lite by
nim3
Advantages: GREAT GAMES...TOUCH SCREEN...SMALL SIZE
Disadvantages: NONE
...I brought the Nintendo ds lite over a year ago now, I brought the lite instead of the original simply because it looked better and weighed better. Usually the ds is aimed mainly at children, but as I am no child I find that it caters for my gaming needs very well. This review will highlight the highs and lows (of which there aren't many) of the Nintendo ds, and why I would recommend it to potential buyers either for themselves, or their children.
The Nintendo ds lite is entertainment galore. It boasts numerous features that have enabled it to compete with Sony's psp. Firstly the size of the ds gives it a huge advantage, as you can carry it around with you practically anywhere, all you need is a carry case which is readily available in stores or on eBay (where I got mine from). You can literally put the ds in your hand, however...

Nintendo Ds
Review of Nintendo DS by
lemons89
Advantages: Mic, wireless connection to the internet, great interactivity
Disadvantages: a bit chunky, cant see the screen in sunlight
...The Nintendo DS is about 5 inches by 3 inches and about 1.5 inches in thickness.
As you flip it open you can adjust the top screen to an angle you prefer, This screen is accompanied by the speakers on each side of it. The screen below is the touch screen to the left and right we have the Nintendo style buttons. The D pad and lettered buttons, the power button, start and select below is a headphones socket and a volume slider.
There is also the left and right shoulder buttons, usb port and game cartaridge slot to the top of the bottom screen.Next to this is the nintendo ds pen that you use on the touch screen
on the bottom of the bottom screen there is also a gameboy advance game cartaridge slot.
There is quite a bit of weight to the Nintendo DS but the features of the DS makes up for this. We have incredible graphics on both...

JD's review of the Nintendo DS Lite
Review of Nintendo DS Lite by
duck1979
Advantages: Improved sound quality, great games, stylish, durable, charged ready to go
Disadvantages: None, except there's too many great games to choose from
...My first DS gaming experience came when I bought an original Nintendo DS (the mariokart bundle) from Woolworths in February 2006 (courtesy of my overdraft facility at the Halifax)....... unfortunately my DS gaming activites were curtailed in at the end of May 2007 when some w****r stole my DS (and NEW Super Mario Bros game cart + Simpsons GBA game in it at the time + my Nokia N-Gage gaming cellphone!) while I was out getting a new road tax disk for my Dads' car.
By around the middle of September 2007, I couldn't take the withdrawal symptoms any longer, and ordered a brand spanking new Nintendo DS Lite in Onyx Black..... despite having a few reservations about the DS Lite version from mention of build quality issues on the ARS TECHNICA website review of it (screen not fitted properly, etc).
At the sametime I also ordered a USB Wi...
