...The Nintendo DS 'Lite' is a great portable console that comes in a range of colours for anyone who likes games made by Nintendo and other game makers who are associate with them. It has two screen's one touch and the other veiw only, this allows games to be more interactive and fun! The amazing thing about the Nintendo DS 'Lite' is that its lighter that the orginal (funny enough lol) this makes it more compact and easier to carry about. ...I had wanted a DS for a long time, and when I received on for my birthday this year was instantly afraid it was going to be a novelty buy. It's a bit large to be classed as a truly "pocket" console like the gameboy advance or sp. The games range is limited, and the games themselves range from bland film spin offs to the very abstract and unique such as Animal Crossing or Harvest Moon. The games range does expand with the extra slot allowing the use of game boy and game boy advance games, making this Nintendo next gen portable console throughly backwards compatible. I am glad I stuck with this machine as I am now thourougly addicted. Classics such as Super Monkey Ball trasfer superbly onto this platform, and the stylus brings a new dimension to many familiar favourited such as Ray-Man. Have a go, even if its on someone elses. ...I think that the Nintendo Wii is one of the better consoles on the market for the family as they are lots of competitive games available on it to interest all the family, including Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Wario Wares and Mario Party just to name a few. Gameboy Micro - A Forgotten Gem

Advantages: Looks fantastic, Great battery life, amazing screen, huge library of games, cheap
Disadvantages: Outdated, Non-Standardised Charger, Less than satisfactory speakers

...Though I was aware of the Gameboy Micro's release in 2005, it seems like myself, no one really took any notice at all when it launched, obscured by the release of 2004's original Nintendo DS and Sony PSP. The GBMicro really didn't offer anything new to the handheld gaming market at all, though there are a few factors which does help level the field of the major handhelds. Upon release, a brand new Gameboy Micro retailed for around £60-80, which for a seemingly out-of-date console was extortionate. Fortunately the price has come down a great deal in the last 2 years or so, seemingly over-stocking the Pink version as it is the cheapest available to which I purchase for a mere £13 as new from eBay. The Nintendo DS Lite is just right!

Advantages: Helps pass time, fun with mates, touch screen, lots of colours, lots of games
Disadvantages: Fingerprints, not the best graphics

...The Nintendo Ds Lite is a great portable games console that is available in many colours and has kept me entertained for many hours on various journeys. The Nintendo DS Lite is lighter than the original DS (well there's a surprise!) and brighter. The DS has a unique feature that does not appear on any console in the fact that the bottom screen is touch sensitive. This basically means on games you can use a stylus which gives you a unique control system for games and provides new opportunities for game creators. The DS Lite plays both Nintendo DS games which are inserted at the top and Gameboy Advance games for those who used to own a Gameboy and want to play their own games.
