Reviews of nintendo lite
Interactivity at it's best
Review of Nintendo DS Lite by
Foulish
Advantages: Long Battery Life, bright screens, wide variety of games, wifi access, touch screen
Disadvantages: touch screen gets scratched easilly, charge up time,
...The Nintendo DS Lite is an updated version of the Nintendo DS. In my opinion the DS Lite has a much smoother, sleeker and much more appealling look to it, whereas the Original DS had a retro feel to it.
The DS Lite has many features, including Pictochat and DS Download Play.
Pictochat allows you to write a message with the stylus and send it over a wifi connection, great for when your in an airport or other public place (or if you want to talk about someone in the same room as you!).
DS Download and Play allows you to download a "light version" of specific games and gives you the oppertunity to play multiplayer - without the need to buy a game card like in previous versions of Nintendos handheld consoles such as the GameBoy.
The Nintendo DS has two screens a upper and lower one.
The Nintendo DS comes equipped with an interactive...

no1 weapon against boredom
Review of Nintendo DS Lite by
trixster90
Advantages: looks cool, has lots of featues, great value
Disadvantages: none
...The Nintendo DS lite seems to have been forgotten recently with the releases of the Sony Ps3, Microsoft's Xbox 360 and the Nintendo wii and it's a shame this bit of kit has become somewhat of a necessity for me. I'm currently a student and the Nintendo DS lite has be my main weapon in my combat against boredom between long periods between lessons and its really effective, now the hours I used to spend sat around with friends bored have become fierce multiplayer DS battles via Nintendo's superb wifi games.
Overall the DS is stylish, attractive and has a great user system revolving around its dual screen and touch screen capabilities. It's a handheld system that can be played with one player just as easily as 4 and its entertainment value is great plus the games that you can by for it come in the most brilliant classic and abstract...

NINTENDO DS LITE
Review of Nintendo DS Lite by
Sarahhhx
Advantages: I can communicate with friends when im on holiday
Disadvantages: nothing
...At first when I purchased the Nintendo ds lite I must admit I think I'd made a big mistake, there wasn't a lot of games available and I knew I'd get bored of it, Recently there's being a few games out and there's an internet browser which I love as you can email friends when your on holiday if the room has a wifi connection, I also love the fact the there's lots of flash cartridges available which are rewritable and I can upload msn onto the flash card and use it like I would use it on the computer.
The Nintendo DS Lite, is a sleeker, Nintendo DS.
The device employs innovative dual-screen and microphone-enabled gameplay as well as Wi-Fi multiplayer capabilities, allowing for a growing list of original and fun games that you can't play on any other system.
It is thinner and more attractive than the earlier DS, but it still delivers what...

Nintendo DS Lite : 'Touch Me, Play Me'
Review of Nintendo DS Lite by
f1insidetrack
Advantages: Wide range of games, cheaper than consoles, portable and light weight.
Disadvantages: Cannot play films, store or play music on the DS unlike the Sony PSP console
...The Nintendo DS Lite is a portable gaming system with two screens that have been vertically alligned, one at the top and one at the bottom. On the bottom is a touch screen that allows you to use a stylus pen for selecting options to playing games. There's also the standard direction buttons, located to the left of the bottom screen, and standard X, Y, A, B buttons along with Start and Select Buttons- all of which are located to the right of the bottom screen,.
The Nintendo DS games come on a cartridge format and cost anything between £10-£25. The main advantage of the Nintendo DS Games over the Sony PSP games is the loading times are much quicker this is mainly because the cartridges are smaller in capacity to the UMD Discs.
The Nintendo DS has been made much smaller than the original DS, the dimensions of the new console are 0...

Second times a charm nintendo!
Review of Nintendo DS Lite by
stegasaurus_sam
Advantages: great new design
Disadvantages: possibly limited features?
...The Nintendo DS lite looks great plays better! the DS will be hitting UK streets on the 23rd of June in either black or white finish. When the original DS was launched people expected great things me being one of them I had worked pretty much all year for this thing but when I had it, I couldn’t help but thing there was something wrong with it. However a true blue Nintendo fan such as myself was still not put of, almost! Then it hit me this is not practical and very bulky to hold Nintendo kind of messed up here. After the popularity of the DS dropped Nintendo had to do something to save the console from extinction.
The DS lite is born; now the DS really looks like it should have done first time around.
Nintendo faced this problem before with the arrival of the game boy advance over the game boy. The advance another great leap forward...

Nintendo DS Stylus Pack
Review of Nintendo Official Nintendo DS Lite 3 Stylus Set - Black by
rose1986
Advantages: Wont damage your screen like other objects will. Good price
Disadvantages: Can get lost easily as they are small and delicate
...Nintendo DS Stylus
What is a Stylus?
A Stylus is the name given to the pen-like instrument used to operate the touch screen on the Nintendo DS Consoles. The stylus is made of plastic and is shaped in the style of an ordinary pen, although it is smaller and a lot thinner. The stylus' have a small, softer plastic point so that you can play your DS with ease and hit the finer points on your DS. Obviously, using your finger etc does work on the touch screen but you cannot hit things in a smaller area with ease and using other objects may damage your screen.
When you purchase your Nintendo, you will be provided with a Stylus and possibly two. They are extremely easy to pick-up and very cheap as well. There are also a range of colours available, so you can coordinator your stylus to match your DS! Also, there are glow in the dark stylus...

Nintendo DS
Review of Nintendo DS Lite by
Naughty_Ottsel
Advantages: Touch Screen, Affordable
Disadvantages: Bad graphics with most games
...After already owning a PSP I felt I had all the handheld gaming I needed however many of my peers owned Nintendo DS' so I thought I would buy one in conjuction with the release of Pokemon Diamond after being a big fan of the series and I liked the potential of the DS.
The main reason for the DS' success has been marketing as well as affordability and game selection.
The marketing campaign which is very popular with nintendo is connectivity which is extremely true with 98% of all DS games using connectivity around the world, with friends and even with a Nintendo Wii.
The selection of games for the DS are great for both old and young with many ideas from looking after a pet dog to testing your brain and now you can play a guitar on it. However is you are critical on graphics then the DS is not a great console for that as only one...

Nintendo DS Lite
Review of Nintendo DS Lite by
cactuscake
Advantages: Touch screen, graphics detail, innovative play techniques.
Disadvantages: No WPA wireless networking (only WEP) so multiplayer is limited.
...The Nintendo DS Lite truly redefines portable gaming to how it should be.
I bought a DS Lite after playing Brain Training and Mario Bros mini games on a friend's original DS console.I much prefer the lite version because of its square shape, compactness and style.
The games on DS are very innovative, making use of the stylus in every way imaginable, you will be tapping, dragging, circling, writing and scribbling all over the thing before you know it, and it's surprisingly durable; I've hit mine quite hard several times without any scratches or dents to the screen.
You can also interact with voice recognition in certain games and blowing on the microphone in others. Nintendo really have thought about everything you could possibly do with a handheld on top of pushing buttons.
The screens are a good size with bright colours...

Nintendo DS Lite White
Review of Nintendo DS Lite by
tippexized
Advantages: fun, compact, unique touch-screen and voice interaction
Disadvantages: touch screen doesn't always recognise written characters
...My initial expectations of the DS lite were that it looked small, compact, fun and different from most other games consoles. I ended up buying the DS Lite White with Mario Bros, Brain Teaser and Yoshi\'s Island. The DS is practical, easy to use and the multiscreen isn\'t as confusing as I first thought it would be! The sensitivity of the touch screen is just right, although when writing with the pen on Brain tease, I find the DS doesn\'t quite recognise some of the characters - quite frustrating when you are competing against time and having to re-write one digit over and over again! The voice interaction is quite nifty as well - causing some interesting glares when playing on buses and trains! Overall, the DS met all my expectations - its compact, sturdy (handy when on the go), and definitely fun. At first there weren\'t many different...
