...I think that the Nintendo Wii is one of the better consoles on the market for the family as they are lots of competitive games available on it to interest all the family, including Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Wario Wares and Mario Party just to name a few. The Wii Fit is an interactive console that stimulates gameplay by using movement instead of just button bashing, the graphics arent always as good on the Wii as they are on the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 but I as a bit of an old school gamer think that this is one of the charms that the Wii holds in its simplicity. You play Wii games with your Wii remote that is senitive to movement as long as you have the receiver near by to receive the signal from the remote, this normally sits discretley on top of the TV that you are playing Wii on. Wii all love the Nintendo Wii!

Advantages: Fun for all, easy to use, smart looking, good value
Disadvantages: Perhaps not accurate enough controls for the serious gamer

...I remember the Nintendo Wii first being released, several years ago. It was just coming up to Christmas time, and like many people I?m sure, decided this would be the ideal gift for my children. We could not get hold of one prior to Xmas for love nor money, so eventually gave up and managed to get hold of one towards the end of January. ...The Nintendo Wii is a home video console released by Nintendo. It is Nintendo's fifth home console and a direct successor to the Gamecube. It was released in November in the US and over here the following month. Ever since word leaked out about Nintendo's new console, it had the codename of 'Revolution'. That changed after 27th April 2006, when the name was changed to 'Wii'. This change wasn't well received by some people who thought it was too childish and that Revolution was a much better name. But I have to say, after two years, it's really grown on me, and now I can't imagine the console being called Revolution!
