Wii Fit
Advantages: great for weightloss, fun for all the family, improves posture, balance and health
Disadvantages: expensive, can only register up to 8 family members
...Our Wii Fit was brought as a birthday present for my 9 year old brother, although to be honest it was probably more of a gift to us!!
What is a 'Wii Fit'?
Before explaining what a Wii Fit is, I will explain the equipment you will need for it. The Wii Fit works on a Nintendo Wii - the Wii is a games console, which uses a handheld remote for interactive play (simulating tennis etc). In addition to the games console you will need a Wii Fit balance board. This can be used with other games such as skiing etc but will initially be purchased with the Wii Fit software. The Wii fit balance board is a rectangular board, which the user stands on, and it links up wirelessly to the Wii and is used to improve health through balance games, muscle and yoga poses and aerobic exercise games. The Wii fit balance board measures and monitors...

Wii Fit
Advantages: Helps you lose weight, tracks your progress
Disadvantages: You need quite a bit of space for the balance board
...As someone who has a bad back, and could also stand to lose a few pounds in weight, I finally gave in and bought the wii fit.
Basically, all it consists of is a balance board and CD with the Wii Fit activities on it. Like the Nintendo Wii controllers it is completely wireless which is great for storage, when you finish you can just slot it under your bed or in a cupboard.
To start off you create a character for yourself in the Wii Fit Plaza, which is based off your Mii. The main idea is to have a daily body test which charts your weight, bmi, wii fit age etc and then go on to do some training in the form of either balance, aerobic, muscle exercise or yoga. This is kind of embarrassing, especially for me when my mii suddenly got a lot fatter! After completing the body test you are given a wii fit age, which you aim to reduce by...

Wii Mii Gets fit
Advantages: Great for the whole family, fun, easy to use, amazing concept
Disadvantages: Board can become a little uncomfortable on your feet
...Who would have thought that excercise using a games consol would ever be presented to us, and who could imagine that it could be so much fun.
The wii fit is a revolutionary product brought to us by the Nintendo Wii (watch out, you need to have the console), that allows the entire family to become involved in a new health and fitness regime and what's best of all - you don't even have to leave the house for this programme to benefit you.
The wii fit provides users with four different fitness categories to include Yoga, Muscle workouts, aerobics and balance. Using a combination of each of the activities - there are 40 in total between the 4 categories - that can help to stretch and tone those muscles, burn fat and improve your balance. Not all of the excercises in each of the categories are unlocked so the more excercise you take...

Wii Fit
Advantages: Healthy, Loses weight, Fun
Disadvantages: None
...Nintendo Wii Fit (Wii Fit)
I got Wii fit on Christmas day 2008 and ever since I have not got off it. I am a really big gamer and when I bought the Wii i thought it wasn't going to be good and it wasn't that good as the Xbox 360 or the PlayStation 3, but when I got Wii Fit for it I have been playing it one hour a day every day. I do all kinds of exercises on it. Including Jogging, Push up's, Step aerobics and many more. It really is a good way of excerising because it is fun and you don't even know that you are excerising!
Whats in the box...
In the Wii Fit box there is not too much, there is a Wii fit balance board, Wii fit Wii game, Four AA Batteries and Manuals.
What games is there on the Wii Fit game...

wii fit
Advantages: Very good, fun and you can loose weight.
Disadvantages: Only allows you to play with two people-no more!
...I think that the wii fit game is really good.
comes fully equit with the wii balance board, this fun and interactive game is really good to play on your own or with friends.
Everyone can enjoy this and with a variety of different games(balance, muscle works outs, yoga- which i havent played on yet, and aerobics) this fun game can help you to get fit and have fun.
I personally enjoy all the games and have unlocked them all. you can play with more than one player, but only on the running which is slightly disappointing, but other than that the sound and the graphics are both very satisfactory and i would say that this is a very worthwhile investment-especially if you have children.
I thought that when wii sports came out that that was very good and realistica nd enjoyable-but this is even better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DEFINATELY...

wii fit
Advantages: weight loss or weight gain depending on what you choose to do. very fun games!
Disadvantages: its not entirely accurate, can strain yourself if you over do it.
...The Wii fits main aim was to motivate families to get up and exercise together, making it more enjoyable for children and adults. It was also to be seen as an insentive to exercise and stay healthy and help keep a steady BMI (body mass index). Wii fit is an amazing game in which you as a user can stand on the Wii balance board and interact with the game. The balance board is like a set of scales it can determin your weight and which is your most dominant foot. But its not just a set of scales it senses every movement you make so that the Wii can then calculate your Wii fit age and keep you interacted in whatever game you are playing.
The Wii fit game comes with many games to play. You start of with a few activites to do but the more you progress on with game the more you unlock ,making exercise much more harder and making it a fun...

Better that Wii Fit but ........
Advantages: A great improvement on Wii Fit
Disadvantages: You need to be self motivated to stick with it
...I bought Wii Fit last year and have now used it for over 400 hours so I guess you could say I have had my money's worth out of it. I do like it but it has its shortcomings not least of which is the fact that it takes a long time to work through a routine so I was pleased when I heard that Nintendo were bringing out a new versions and I wanted to see what that offered.
Wii Fit Plus is intended to overcome some of the shortcomings and to allow you to plan a whole routine rather than do it piecemeal and have to wait between exercises. I preordered mine via Amazon where you buy Wii Fit Plus for just £17.99 if you already have the Wii Balance Board or £79.99 with the Balance Board.
As this is a full product review I will outline everything that it does which does include everything on the original Wii Fit so if you already have Wii...

Get Fit - the Wii way
Advantages: *
Disadvantages: *
...Having bought the Nintendo Wii earlier this year, we decided we would get Wii Fit to go with it. We pre-ordered it from play.com and despite saying that they would deliver on the release date we were told that they were out of stock, and didn't know when they would be getting in. We were lucky enough to get one at out local Game store so we set it up later that night.
~ The Balance Board ~
As well as the game, you get a balance board. This is what you stand on to be able to play the game. It takes batteries and is cordless like the other controls that are used with the Wii. The balance board, white in colour, reminds me of a set of scales although it is a bit bigger. There is a power button on the front of the board and this is easy to use to turn the power on/off. You are advised to stand on the balance board with bare feet, which...

wii fit board (does what it says on the box) FANTASTIC
Advantages: Fun, good exercise factor, easy to use
Disadvantages: addictive
...The Wii fit board is not only an amazing piece of exercise equipment but has the enjoyment factor too. The package includes; The board, Wii fit disc and setup instructions with disc (although contents may be different from my purchase). Setup of this product is quick and self explanatory meaning you dont have to be a techno whizz to know what your doing. There are many features on Wii fit allowing you to monitor weight, BMI, fitness age and also your progress throught the year. There is also a traning option which lets you play and compete in aerobic, yoga, balance and muscle workout exercises. The more you play on the more you can unlock too as the board calculates the minutes you have been on and saves the totals and results on score boards. When I played on the Wii fit it was the most addictive game i had ever played. I started...

Watch Mii get fit on Wii fit!
Advantages: Balance board a great device, entertaining games for all, physical activity.
Disadvantages: Wii Fit age a little suspect, balance board not for sitting on!
...Wii Fit is the latest piece of genius released for Nintendo's market dominant Wii console. For me this release may well have secured the console as the market leader for a very long time. In the Wii Fit system, they have designed a product that appeals and more importantly is accessible to every age and ability.
The concept is simple; use the balance board provided and the wii remote to take part in a variety of exercises. However, were going the gym is an inherently dull thing to do, this is a fun and entertaining way to keep fit. Setting it up takes a couple of minutes requiring only the disk and four AA batteries. No unscrewing stuff either which is always a bonus. The balance board itself is fundamentally a rectangular step that is fitted with motion and wireless sensors. It is these sensors that gauge your activity and ability...
