Wii Nunchuk

Advantages: Adds to gaming experience, fun, price
Disadvantages: small c button thats all

...Well I finally managed to get my hands on the brand new Nintendo Wii console (not meaning to brag) and after weeks of solid gaming I thought it was about time I told the online world my opinions of it. For anybody that has been locked away from society over christmas the Wii is Nintendo's brand new home console machine. It was this christmas's must have gadget due to its new wireless motion sensetive controllers and fun, party orientated game play. All I will say about the Wii in general is that it one of the most inovative and enjoyable pieces of technology that has been released in recent years. It will revolutionise the gaming world and this is just the beginning. Anyway on to the rather crazily named nintendo Wii Nunchuck controller. This device acts as a controller attatchment to the standard wii remote and allows for more...

Here's A Wii Attatchment For Ya

Advantages: Works very well and is comfortable
Disadvantages: Feels slightly cheap but costs a bomb

...Click. Done with the games that require just the one controller on the Wii, it's time to get serious and attach the nunchuk. Whilst it is slightly a bit of a hassle to have to attatch the nunchuk everytime you want to use it, it's very easy. And the minds at Nintendo have given it a smart ninja-like nickname that should catch on. It's very clear why they haven't made them permanently attatched as well - it would completely ruin the console. So lets get into the thick of this review then. My nunchuk controller came with my Wii today. Yep - I've got the gift that EVERYONE wants this Xmas and don't just downgrade my review because of that. Be nice. My nunchuk came free with the console but right now if you want to buy another nunchuk to play multi-player that will set you back £15. The nunchuk CANNOT be used on it's own as well - so...

Increase the wiis cabability

Advantages: tracks movement, handy analogue stick, extra buttons
Disadvantages: not wireless, cost

...Another dimension in Wii gaming. This small yet powerful device plugs into the base of your wii remote and offers the same motion sensing cabability of the wii remote as well as a couple of shoulder buttons and an analogue stick. Altough this product is quite costly at £15 meaning that with a wii remote your looking at £45 for a game controller. It does add a whole new level to your wii experience as with its motion sensing the wii system can now track both your hands, perfect for games such as boxing. Also the nunchuks analogue stick is very useful as it will be familiar to most gamers from there last gen consoles. This allows you easily to explore lands of games such as zelda. The nunchuk is definately something that would attract more serious gamers to the wii as the more casual games such as wii sports dont really require it...

Nintendo Wii

Advantages: Great Fun, Good Exersize
Disadvantages: Graphics Maybe

...I think that the Nintendo Wii is one of the better consoles on the market for the family as they are lots of competitive games available on it to interest all the family, including Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Wario Wares and Mario Party just to name a few. The Wii Fit is an interactive console that stimulates gameplay by using movement instead of just button bashing, the graphics arent always as good on the Wii as they are on the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 but I as a bit of an old school gamer think that this is one of the charms that the Wii holds in its simplicity. You play Wii games with your Wii remote that is senitive to movement as long as you have the receiver near by to receive the signal from the remote, this normally sits discretley on top of the TV that you are playing Wii on. You can customize your Wii remote by buying...

Nintendo Wii review

Advantages: Looks good, innovative, good range of games
Disadvantages: None

...controller ports and two memory card slots concealed by removable flip-open panels at the top, so there's no need to buy any extra add-ons in order to play Gamecube games straight out of the box. One of the biggest innovations since Nintendo invented the D-pad for the NES is the Wii controller. It uses accelerometers and infrared detection along with the sensor bar to sense the controller's position in 3 dimensions, meaning you can control the game by physical movements as well as with traditional button presses. Along with the remote you get the nunchuk unit, which plugs into the bottom of the Wii remote and features a traditional analog stick with two additional buttons. The console came bundled with "Wii Sports" which, I have to say, is a big bundle of fun! You get several minigames, from Tennis to Boxing, and you use the Wii remote just like...

A Wii Second Controller

Advantages: Comfortable, Analog Stick, 2 Buttons
Disadvantages: None

...The Official Nintendo Wii Nunchuk Controller was made to replace the normal Wii controller for easier and comfortable game play. I used this controller at a friend's house as he recently purchased it so thought id check it out. The controller is designed and shaped to perfectly fit your hand. The controller has upgraded on the simplicity of the original Wii controller and goes that step further to meet the needs of die hard gamers. The Nunchuk controller connects to the Wii controller at the expansion port and is used in conjunction with the Wii Remote controller. The controller contains the same motion-sensor technology enabled in the original Wii controller but also includes an analog stick to help with character movements which gives it extra assistance. So basically you will use the analog stick of the Nunchuk controller to...

Nintendo Wii

Advantages: Revolutionary gameplay, really fun!
Disadvantages: Less powerful processor and less impressive graphics than competitors

...The Nintendo Wii is a completely revolutionary games console, so revolutionary that when it comes to trying to name the best console out there I tend to only compare the PS3 and the Xbox 360, beacuse I think the Wii is in a class of it's own. The technology it uses is groundbreaking, and instead of focusing on impressive graphic capabailities like it's competitiors, it focuses on gameplay. The Wii uses wireless controls that are more like a TV remote than the conventional handheld gamepads with buttons, control sticks and directinal pads used by the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The disadvantages however are that it lacks the same graphical prowess as other gaming consoles and not being as powerful as them, but that doesn't concern the creators as they believe the main purpose of the Wii is for the customer to just have fun...

Nintendo Wii - The Next Generation.

Advantages: The console is Cheap, Fun to play and is fun for the whole family.
Disadvantages: The graphics let the cosole down and the controller is har dto get used to.

...the small size of the remote. The built in wifi makes it easy to find applications on the web. You can download classic Nintendo games called virtual console games. Also wifi has enhanced online gameplay espicially with guitar hero world tour, where you can download content. Not only does the wii play wii games, but it also plays gamecube games. there is also a slot on the top where you can play with gamecube controllers. There is also a SD slot for storage and viewing pictures. They also give you a trial of the wii as you get wii sports with the console. THE BAD PARTS For starters the controller eats batteries and is hard to get used to, but when you do get used to it, it can be very enjoyable. But a big let down was the graphics and the sound effects. Not only does the console not have HD, but the graphics could still be improved. One more...

Nintendo Wii is a truly unique gaming experience

Advantages: Intuative gaming experience, accessible to a variety of gamers, plenty of extra features.
Disadvantages: Will have to look slightly harder to compensate for the hardcore nintendo fans

...It is no surprise that Nintendo currently have one of the most successful computer game products out there right now. It appeals to a vast audience including children, teenagers and adults alike - something which has never quite been acheived in the computer gaming world before. Not only this, but it is arguably the most revolutionary and unique entertainment system, a view bolstered by the overwhelming presence the Wii has in the computer game market. But what is so unique about the Wii? The Wii is not like any consoles before it. The most striking feature is the lack of a standard handeheld controller. The use of a " wiimote ", or a wireless handheld remote that is used as a pointer to play games with is extremely intuative and easy to use, whilst allowing a more immersive gaming experience. Wether you will be swinging a simulated...

The nintendo wii - a good buy?

Advantages: great fun, good family games, addictive, updates avaliable, classic n64, nes games
Disadvantages: bad support, requires patience

...takes place though the computer and you ned the wii to be connected to the internet). You can create individual characters called "Miis". These can be used on certain games such as wii sports or wii fit. You can customise the Miis though the nintendo wii mii channel. The nintendo remote has bluetooth capabilities whcih means you can upload data onto the remote. For instance i uploaded my mii onto the remote and took it round a mates house and played on their wii with my nintendo mii character. If like me, you have the predacessor to the wii, the gamecube, you will find that you have numerouse amounts of games that you want to play, but can be bothered to set up the gamecube again. Well with the nintendo wii you can put a gamcube game in, plug in a nintendo gamecube controller into a port on the wii and start to play...
