Nintendo Wii

Advantages: Great Fun, Good Exersize
Disadvantages: Graphics Maybe

...I think that the Nintendo Wii is one of the better consoles on the market for the family as they are lots of competitive games available on it to interest all the family, including Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Wario Wares and Mario Party just to name a few. The Wii Fit is an interactive console that stimulates gameplay by using movement instead of just button bashing, the graphics arent always as good on the Wii as they are on the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 but I as a bit of an old school gamer think that this is one of the charms that the Wii holds in its simplicity. You play Wii games with your Wii remote that is senitive to movement as long as you have the receiver near by to receive the signal from the remote, this normally sits discretley on top of the TV that you are playing Wii on. You can customize your Wii remote by buying...

Nintendo Wii - The Next Generation.

Advantages: The console is Cheap, Fun to play and is fun for the whole family.
Disadvantages: The graphics let the cosole down and the controller is har dto get used to.

...the small size of the remote. The built in wifi makes it easy to find applications on the web. You can download classic Nintendo games called virtual console games. Also wifi has enhanced online gameplay espicially with guitar hero world tour, where you can download content. Not only does the wii play wii games, but it also plays gamecube games. there is also a slot on the top where you can play with gamecube controllers. There is also a SD slot for storage and viewing pictures. They also give you a trial of the wii as you get wii sports with the console. THE BAD PARTS For starters the controller eats batteries and is hard to get used to, but when you do get used to it, it can be very enjoyable. But a big let down was the graphics and the sound effects. Not only does the console not have HD, but the graphics could still be improved. One more...

Nintendo Wii review

Advantages: Looks good, innovative, good range of games
Disadvantages: None

...controller ports and two memory card slots concealed by removable flip-open panels at the top, so there's no need to buy any extra add-ons in order to play Gamecube games straight out of the box. One of the biggest innovations since Nintendo invented the D-pad for the NES is the Wii controller. It uses accelerometers and infrared detection along with the sensor bar to sense the controller's position in 3 dimensions, meaning you can control the game by physical movements as well as with traditional button presses. Along with the remote you get the nunchuk unit, which plugs into the bottom of the Wii remote and features a traditional analog stick with two additional buttons. The console came bundled with "Wii Sports" which, I have to say, is a big bundle of fun! You get several minigames, from Tennis to Boxing, and you use the Wii remote just like...

Nintendo Wii is a truly unique gaming experience

Advantages: Intuative gaming experience, accessible to a variety of gamers, plenty of extra features.
Disadvantages: Will have to look slightly harder to compensate for the hardcore nintendo fans

...tennis racket to " Wii Sports " or practicing your bow and arrow skills on " The Legend of Zelda : The Twilight Princess ", the wiimote system Nintendo has chosen to use offers a computer-human interaction that the gaming community has been striving for. The Wii has a wide variety of games that really makes use of the wiimote system. With every Wii bought there will be a copy of " Wii Sports " and " Wii Play ", two games which easily encaptulate the whole family with virtual golf, boxing, tennis, and a variety of mini games that implement the possibilties that the wiimote offers. Perhaps the large appeal of the Wii is created by the " family factor " with games such as " Wii Music ", " Animal Crossing " and " Wario Ware ", but it does not fail to deliver to Nintendo's hardcore gamers - the Zelda, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil and Mario...

Nintendo Wii

Advantages: Compact, Fun, includes Wii Sports
Disadvantages: Sore limbs, some setup inconvenience

.... A keyboard would be nice for use with Opera, as you have to enter all URL?s using the Wiimote. On the whole, Wii Sports is worth the cost of getting a Wii, and there are plenty of good games now. Though most of the good games are made by Nintendo....

The nintendo wii - a good buy?

Advantages: great fun, good family games, addictive, updates avaliable, classic n64, nes games
Disadvantages: bad support, requires patience

...takes place though the computer and you ned the wii to be connected to the internet). You can create individual characters called "Miis". These can be used on certain games such as wii sports or wii fit. You can customise the Miis though the nintendo wii mii channel. The nintendo remote has bluetooth capabilities whcih means you can upload data onto the remote. For instance i uploaded my mii onto the remote and took it round a mates house and played on their wii with my nintendo mii character. If like me, you have the predacessor to the wii, the gamecube, you will find that you have numerouse amounts of games that you want to play, but can be bothered to set up the gamecube again. Well with the nintendo wii you can put a gamcube game in, plug in a nintendo gamecube controller into a port on the wii and start to play...

Nintendo Wii

Advantages: Fun, fun, fun!
Disadvantages: Tiring!

...This is possibly not the right console for the 'serious' gamer. Games like Call of Duty 4, Grand Theft Auto or any other graphics based games are probably better played on the Xbox 360, or the Playstation 3. However, if you just want to have some good old fashioned fun with friends or family, then this is the one for you. I can't rate this console highly enough, I've had endless hours of fun on this machine, and I feel that for my kids, they are getting the excercise as well, that they would not be getting on the Xbox or PS3. If you decide to buy extra controllers, then the fun doubles on the likes of Wii Sports Tennis, when 4 of you are up on your feet competing against each other. My partner has also found that the Wii has helped her to lose those extra pounds after recently giving birth, by purchasing the Wii Fit board. Another...

The Wii!

Advantages: New way of gaming, attracts new gamers, sleek design
Disadvantages: Graphics

...Hey there! I'm going to be reviewing the Nintendo Wii as it's one of my favourites systems at the moment. Now, the Nintendo Wii is very cheap for a great console ($250/£180) compaired to the other consoles like the PS3 and the Xbox, but I won't be getting into much detail about that. I received my Nintendo Wii about a week after Christmas being in the right place at the right time, anyway, I shall crack on to the review. =P It's obvious that Nintendo have carried on the sleek look to the Nintendo Wii from the DS lite which is good. The Nintendo Wii is small, eye catching and very beautiful to look at! It was much smaller than I thought it would be, it's also very light! As most of you know, the Nintendo Wii console sits in the grey stand which adds contrast to the design. There is a blue light that surrounds the disc...

A Wii for Mii

Advantages: Great fun, good for all ages
Disadvantages: Graphics aren't brilliant

...A few months after the Nintendo Wii was released my boyfriend decided that he wanted one. I'm not really a huge gamer so I wasn't too keen, it just seemed like almost £200 that would be better off in our bank account than being spent on another console. Then one of our friends got one and this only seemed to fuel his fire more, so one evening we'd popped round for a few beverages and t a game of tennis on the Wii was suggested. Well I played and lost a couple of games and much to my boyfriend's delight I had a lot of fun. The next week we sent each other a couple of emails at work about how much we'd enjoyed playing on it and decided we would get one. We had a look at a few bundles online, but I can be quite impatient and wanted one there and then. After work we took a drive to Morrisons and luckily they had some in stock, we parted...

Review of Nintendo Wii

Nintendo Wii

Advantages: Revolutionary gameplay, really fun!
Disadvantages: Less powerful processor and less impressive graphics than competitors

...The Nintendo Wii is a completely revolutionary games console, so revolutionary that when it comes to trying to name the best console out there I tend to only compare the PS3 and the Xbox 360, beacuse I think the Wii is in a class of it's own. The technology it uses is groundbreaking, and instead of focusing on impressive graphic capabailities like it's competitiors, it focuses on gameplay. The Wii uses wireless controls that are more like a TV remote than the conventional handheld gamepads with buttons, control sticks and directinal pads used by the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The disadvantages however are that it lacks the same graphical prowess as other gaming consoles and not being as powerful as them, but that doesn't concern the creators as they believe the main purpose of the Wii is for the customer to just have fun...
