...I think that the Nintendo Wii is one of the better consoles on the market for the family as they are lots of competitive games available on it to interest all the family, including Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Wario Wares and Mario Party just to name a few. The Wii Fit is an interactive console that stimulates gameplay by using movement instead of just button bashing, the graphics arent always as good on the Wii as they are on the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 but I as a bit of an old school gamer think that this is one of the charms that the Wii holds in its simplicity. You play Wii games with your Wii remote that is senitive to movement as long as you have the receiver near by to receive the signal from the remote, this normally sits discretley on top of the TV that you are playing Wii on. Nintendo Wii - The Next Generation.

Advantages: The console is Cheap, Fun to play and is fun for the whole family.
Disadvantages: The graphics let the cosole down and the controller is har dto get used to.

Advantages: Intuative gaming experience, accessible to a variety of gamers, plenty of extra features.

The nintendo wii - a good buy?

Advantages: great fun, good family games, addictive, updates avaliable, classic n64, nes games

...We are currently living in a world that is changing ever so fast. Technology is improving every so often and the consumer has to make careful desicions about what to buy where to buy it and and what price. When the nintendo wii was launched i researched prices for the console. I foudn that many different companies offer different prices and luckily i found a shop that was trustworty and reliable - the price was great to. I reccomend shopping around, searching on the internet or even going into your local games stores to see which business offers the best price. This can take time, but it can save you alot of money. In my opinion the nintendo wiis target market would be families or those who like new technology. The games are great for laughter and enjoyment but if you prefer real "gaming", then i passionatly reccomend that you buy...

Advantages: Great Addictive Fun

...This is possibly the best console I've ever bought. With the Wii Nintendo has revolutionised Game play. The innovative use of the motion sensor controllers has changed the way we play games and opened up gaming to a whole different generation (I can't get my parents off the thing whenever we have them over to visit!!!) Yes the graphics don't compare to the PS3 or the Xbox 360 but they're not the reason you'd buy a Wii anyway. The gaming experience is second to none and one that the whole family can enjoy, Nintendo has released a great variety of games that ensure the Wii will appeal to all walks of life. We have a huge console culture in our house and I think that the Wii is turned on more than my Xbox 360 and PS3 put together speaks volumes for just how addictive the thing is! Wee madness on the Nintendo Wii

Advantages: It is simple, adictive and very interactive, keeps you fit

...The Nintendo Wii I find that this has just the complete wow factor. Not in major games sense in that it plays many of the major video games on the market but also has its own special or unique style of gaming. My son and I invested in a Wii last year and just love it. Our favourite games to date have been Star Wars the complete Saga and Mario and Sonic at the Olympics. I have Lara Crofts latest outing but we have not tried it yet. Why should I buy a Nintendo Wii = I stared off and really got into a flying game that allowed me to really experience what it was like to fly a world war II fighter planed. Advantages: Revolutionary gameplay, really fun!
Disadvantages: Less powerful processor and less impressive graphics than competitors

...The Nintendo Wii is a completely revolutionary games console, so revolutionary that when it comes to trying to name the best console out there I tend to only compare the PS3 and the Xbox 360, beacuse I think the Wii is in a class of it's own. The technology it uses is groundbreaking, and instead of focusing on impressive graphic capabailities like it's competitiors, it focuses on gameplay. The Wii uses wireless controls that are more like a TV remote than the conventional handheld gamepads with buttons, control sticks and directinal pads used by the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The disadvantages however are that it lacks the same graphical prowess as other gaming consoles and not being as powerful as them, but that doesn't concern the creators as they believe the main purpose of the Wii is for the customer to just have fun...

Nintendo Wii - Now I know what all the fuss is about

Advantages: Good graphics, no wires
Disadvantages: Would have liked different colours for the console

...When the Nintendo Wii first hit the shops I didn't understand what all the fuss was about. I'd always been a fan of Nintendo since I received the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) for Christmas when I was about 11, and even owned a Gamecube, but the Wii didn't really interest me. That changed when my cousin, aged fourteen, brought his Wii round to my house and the whole family got to play on it. We started off with Mario Kart, which displayed my distinct lack of co-ordination with the Wii wheel, then moved on to Mario & Sonic at the Olympics, Wii Sports and then finally the Wii Fit. This convinced me and I am now the proud owner of a Nintendo Wii, Wii Fit and several other accessories.
