Nissan Almera Tino SE 2.2 dci 136bhp 6speed

Advantages: Cheeper than most , powerfull engine , equipment levels
Disadvantages: Poor engine managment - not so frugal - wear and tear

...II have had my Tino for 12 months now and covered 42,000 miles thus able to share my mixed experiences. Mine is the 2.2 DCI SE extras 136bhp with the 6 speed gearbox in metallic black. The Extra's models are a Limited Edition version having SVE equipment the leather seats but without the sat nav system and traction control. Ride quality is good if a little harsh you do feel every other bump...

Nissan 2.2 Tino sve

Advantages: Solid, economical, reliable. Good overall package.
Disadvantages: Too few to mention

...complain of excessive "body roll" when cornering but as you sit fairly high above the suspension it is only to be expected, it is not as bad as they would have you believe though and is only when entering and leaving corners or when the very responsive steering is tweaked a bit quickly. Other smaller engined Tino's owners mention sluggishness as a problem but this is not the case with the 2.2 diesel...

Nissan Primera 2.2 DCi Estate

Advantages: Lots of toys reliable economical good dealer support 10/10
Disadvantages: Hard to find crashy ride Nissan badge

...and the performance is reasonable from the 2.2 turbo diesel top of the range model.Economy is excellent,a good 40 mpg plus on a long run but average everyday driving brings that down to nearer 30 mpg.The car does cost alot less than average to fill up at around £40-£50 for a full tank and it does last ages,I guess thats why taxi drivers love them.Road tax cheap at around £85 for 6 months.
