Advantages: The looks and the fuel type is amazing and the insurance group.
Disadvantages: Not that much safety and the comfort.

...Nissan Micra's come in a 1.0 litre hatchback they mostly come in 5 doors or 3 doors. The performance on the road is very nippy, 3/5 also the handling and the ride is quite the same. These Micra's are great insurance group is low fuel is great, on the otherhand the security isnt becuase some micras from 1994-1998 dont have any alarm or anything but ll models have plenty of airbags. The ownership is great buying and selling is easy and no hassle to sell these nippy motors are Quality & reliability many people gave the ownership a 4/5. These 1.0litre micras changed a lot from the 1900's till know there are over 100,000 micras know in the U.K. The looks of a micra is great thats what attracts people to buy these cars. 9/10 people voted that micras are good for first drivers....

1991 Nissan Micra

Advantages: Cheap, Quick, Cost-effiecent
Disadvantages: Looks (based on 1991 model)

...This is a review based on a 988cc 1991 Nissan Micra GS. This car is very very decieving. Part of the deiciving is that the car looks like the back end of a bus, but nevermind its whats underneath that counts. - Engine - If you were to look at the spec's of this car it would be seen as a 988cc car. this alone would be cause for thinking it'd be slow and have a poor accelleration....wrong! I don't have the actual stats, but i have out performed from a starting position a brand new 1.3 Ford Fiesta! This quite a feat from a 10 year old car with a 988cc engine. The top speed i have managed to reach with this car is a astronmoical 110mph, although to the cars credit this was down hill with the wind behind me! Nissan Micra (+customer service)

Advantages: Good visibility, safety features, power saving features, stylish
Disadvantages: back room space lacking, 1.2L engine slow low gear acceleration

...asked the new dealer for help and guess what, they did not reply my phone cars. Even when I complained to Nissan UK and guess what, Nissan UK just pass the buck to CAR CAREPLAN apparently another company. After going in circles for a while, I fed up with the Nissan (NO) Customer services. To add insult to injury, Sims gargage quoted me a staggering £300 for the first year service. For a Nissan Micra new car at 1st year service, this is unheard of. So I contacted another local Nissan repairer (a few years ago Humphris was a Nissan dealer, now only an authorised Nissan repairer) and got a quote of £200. I went there for the service to avoid being ripped off by the Sims gargage (Kidlington, Oxfordshire, beware!). In general, go to dealer around April/October for a better priced pre-reg new car. .... In the recent 'Which Car' for 2009 Nissan were in the average section for owner satisfaction with 81% satisfied. The ones in Very good were Porsche, Daihatsu, Lexus, Skoda and Honda with satisfaction in the 90%s.- If you are curious In the very poor category came Renault, Chevrolet and Jeep with satisfaction in the 70%. Nissan micra came 18th in supermini reliabilty behind Honda Jazz which was first but some of the sample sizes of some of the models was small compared to others so it is not a truly fair comparison. Nissan Micra 1.0 AUTOMATIC

Advantages: Economical, easy parking, nippy and reliable car
Disadvantages: street cred, but lets not be vain

...My Mum's car, but she lets me use it from time to time - especially when I pester her. It is "P" Reg and bought 3 years ago from a main dealer who had traded the car in with one of its customers. Full service history provided and one careful owner. The car is automatic 1.0 litre model in the classic red by Nissan, a Micra Auto. Test drove and found the automatic a little strange not like traditional autos. The difference being that other autos when stopped and in drive will edge forward (particularly useful on a hill start), the Micra Auto does not edge forward in fact it behaves like a manual trasmission and will roll back on an incline.   The girly guide to the Micra

Advantages: Cheaper on petrol, insurance and Road tax. Easier to park and get around town.
Disadvantages: Not as much space as a larger car, lacking in safety and security features.

The Nissan Micra K11 and the proud owner of one

Advantages: Nippy, comfortable, great looking, economical,
Disadvantages: Seat space in back for a car of 5 and getting in and out of a 3 door version

...I have been driving my Nissan Micra K11 (1 Litre) for nearly 2 years now and I honestly believe that the car has every factor that makes up a great car, its reliable, has great aesthetics inside and out, its nippy, economical and comfortable. For a 7 year old car (although is has only done 35, 000 miles) I have not yet come across any problems. I highly recommend this car to anyone wanting a car to get from A to B, long or short journeys. A good thing about the Micra is if you need to you can pick up your speed and comfortably maintain it, I find as it is a small and light car I can pick up speed just like other cars with bigger engines. Beware- Speed demon in a Micra!

Advantages: Cute, low tax, low petrol use, nippy

...Nissan Micra?.. to most people seems to conjure up an image of a little old lady's shopping car tootling along at 25mph.   Good Choice Small Automatic Micra

Advantages: Cost, Reliability, small car performance, CVT Automatic Transmisson
Disadvantages: Higher running cost than Manual Tansmission Model

...I bought a second hand used Micra 1.0 two door/hatch saloon at the beginning of 2003. Colour Red , on a ?P? plate, with 34,000 miles on the clock; well looked after by its previous owners (2), and regularly serviced by a main Nissan dealership. The bodywork was in super condition for its age with no visible signs of deterioration, such as rust marks. My Micra has a one litre (998cc) engine with CVT (automatic transmission) rather than the more popular traditional manual gear box, which makes it stand out from the crowd. Still Some Mileage Left In The Old Micra Yet

Advantages: Japanese reliability. Cheap to insure and run. Easy to drive and park. A good "first car" for a young person.
Disadvantages: Somewhat staid image. Not too nippy.
