It claims to work instantly for a streak less application that will last for days. It comes in an 8oz bottle with a handy pump action, which makes it a lot easier to use. I paid £26.50 for this, which I know does seem like a lot. I initially brought the St Tropez mousse however this brought me out in a rash so I had to discontinue using it. Fake bake has what they call a Colour Guide, it comes out the tube a very dark brown almost black colour so you can see exactly where you've missed. I had no trouble covering all over appart from a tiny patch in the centre of my back which my boyfriend has to give me a hand with. Once the tan was applied all-over I went to bed with a fairy even colour all-over. The Colour Guide can be slightly missleading as it is very dark but when I came out the shower the next moring I was left with a golden brown and gorgeous looking tan. Overall, the first time you use Fake Bake can be tricky but practice makes perfect and the more you use it the easy it gets. ...I am always a bit sceptical about self-tanning products. I have tried about three of them so far and always ended up with very uneven strange orangey or dark brown colour. Fake Bake - The best fake tan out there!

Advantages: AMAZING COLOUR! No smell, Easy to apply, Long lasting
Disadvantages: Can be a little costly

...because if you do it the other way round you are left with stubbles of hair from where you exfolaited the dead skin cells off and the hair appears almost instantly! When this is done put body cream on all over so that your skin isn't dry and can absorb the tan properly, put quite a bit n the elbows and knee's as these are alot drier! Then PUT THE GLOVES ON! If you don't do this then you will end up with orange hands. I always start on the legs, it dosen't matter where put a biggish blob ( about the size of 10p) on your hands and then rub it in the skins until it is absorbed. TIP 1: If after it is sunk in and the colour is not much difference at all, put some more on. Dont be worried! I done this the first time to be safe but I had no tan at all when it washed off! Then go to the stomach and try to do the bottom of your back as well...

St Topez Self Tan lotion

Advantages: Bottle last a long time
Disadvantages: Tan can wash off very easily

...When using this product you had to start in stages by doing a small section at a time. I found it was easier starting with the legs and spraying the product onto my leg then using an old sponge to spread it around as this product stains your hands terribly. It gave you a very good overall tan, although you needed to be sure you had covered all areas. I thought I had covered my feet an ankles well until the product had completely dried and I realised I had patches. I feel this is a good tanning product and the tan is very natural, however it washes off very easily and rubs of when near clothing. The bottle lasts a long time but dont quite feel it is worth the money as there is better products out there which are less hassle....

...Although I got on fantastically well with the Whipped Bronze Instant Self-Tanning Mousse from St Tropez I'm always up for trying new products and it appeared to me that more people use the normal 'lotion' as opposed to the mousse. Is it better? Let's see. ST TROPEZ TINTED SELF-TANNING LOTION The bottle for this lotion is quite different to the mousse. This lotion is presented in a smart, thick white plastic bottle with a black pump action nozzle. It proclaims itself as being 'Step 3' (and we all know what that means!) St Tropez like to make out that only their Step 1 and Step 2 could POSSIBLY precede Step 3 but I disagree - Step 1 is essentially just an exfoliator and Step 2 is a moisturiser. I would imagine that anyone willing to fork out money on a fake tan probably owns AT LEAST one exfoliator and moisturiser already...

...Ladies, I have found yet another excellent self tanning lotion that you must try. There really is no excuse for white pasty skin any more! This self tan is from the No.7 range and it's priced at £9.50 for 200ml which I think is a reasonable price. It's a special fake tan because it is tinted so when you apply the fake tank you can see where you have applied it and where you have missed. It comes in a yellow box and it states that it contains jojoba extract, cocoa butter and vitamins A and E to moisturise and nourish skin. It also says that it is Hypoallergenic and non pore blocking which is the general rule about N0.7 products. You can use this on your face or body so no need to buy a separate one. I was excited that finally, I might be able to have a natural, flawless tan instead of a patchy orange disappointment. St Tropez Self Tan Lotion turned out to produce the latter result. I shaved my legs the day before, exfoliated in the morning (especially my knees, wrists, hands, ankles, feet), moisturised about 3 hours before, and then applied the product using gloves and mixing with a small amount of moisturiser around my ankles, knees, feet, elbows, wrists, hands. It took a long time to apply, because even though I could see where I was putting it, the self tan didn't seem to want to stay on, I didn't even rub it in, but it started clumping together and then drying leaving some of that area white...
