...Sainsbury's no added sugar orange and mango squash sounds delightful. And also sounds on first hearing very healthy. However it is far from it, because if you take a little nosey at the printed ingreidents you'll find a whole host of baddies. Including E numbers, preservatives, artifical colours and tonnes of sweetners. Which is why theres no added sugar, because they've added something much worse. A cheap option in this litre bottle that is enought o make up to about 10 to 12 litres dependant upon required concentration. It's the ideal choice for entertaining large numbers of people at a low price of only 89p. The packaging is a recyclable tall bottle which is see through with a blue cap as shown in the pic, and has an orangey red label with white bit on the back. Usually museli without sugar.

Advantages: Tasty, low sugar, low fat.
Disadvantages: Not cheapest.

...I do like museli, and am on a bit of a healthy eating kick right now. Being diabetic I am always on the look out for low or no sugar varieties of foodstuffs. Most museli, believe it or not, is full of sugar and/or saturated fat. Alpen no added sugar is just that, no added sugar, which is NOT the same as no sugar (sorry Ciao, the category is slightly wrong). The sugar that is in this product is natural sugars from the raisins mainly, and totals just 6.3 gms per 40 gm serving, which is about 7% of the total sugars one should have in a day, well, less for me, but infinitely better for me than most other cereals or a big fat fry up (Saturdays only, followed by serious exercise). I prefer to buy the 1.3 kg plastic packs full of this as it lasts longer and is more cost effective that way. The packaging is pretty much the same as ordinary...

Disadvantages: A bit more pricey than other mueseli, but nicer.

Advantages: sensual and feminine floral hart, good staying powder

...Chanel No. 5 will always remain a controversial perfume. Although used and praised for decades it's still a love or hate fragrance. I think it's because of aldehydes, the most important constituents of this fragrance. They possess a waxy, fatty smell that often makes think on washed and dried clothe. Aldehydes are found in nature (for example in a citrus peel), but never in amounts used in Chanel No. 5. That makes this smell a bit unnatural from one side, but it also gives an interesting exotic twist. In my opinion EDP is much softer than EDT version - the aldehydes are less sharp and the floral bouquet is more prominent. Advantages: A good mix of stories constantly changing
Disadvantages: You might not enjoy EVERY story, and it's gutting if you miss an issue

...2000AD.. The Galaxy's Greatest Comic! It's a weekly comic that most newsagents stock (sadly, normally in the kids section) and features five 6-page stories per issue, the most famous character being Judge Dredd. And I owe it to John Wagner et al to point out the movie was sub-standard pap... This is the best advertisement for British creative talent around, but sadly most creators disappear to America for the money and use up all their great ideas on the superhero-churning machines that are DC and Marvel - except Grant Morrison who has way too much imagination... So what 2000AD offers it's readers is opportunities to enjoy up-and-coming fresh-faced creators mixed in with a few old school stalwarts. And that is the best thing, because there will always be at least one story you enjoy in this anthology mag to keep you interested...

Thinner slice but twice as nice

...To accompany my 'Kallo thick slice slightly salted' rice cakes, I also picked up a pack of these, 'thin slice no added salt' for sweet toppings. These cakes are square, as opposed to round and are, as the product describes, very thin and delicate and at 0.5cm thick, pressed rice puffs to from a solid but very light square. They come packaged in quite a shiny white and lilac wrapper, which is also square as it wraps itself around the the rice cakes. The design is the same as my previous review of Kallo thick slice slightly salted rice cakes: A field with siloettes of scarcrows, horses etc... and the Kallo logo, which highlights - 'No added salt' and 'Organic, wholegrain'.
