No 7 Intelligent Colour - flawless skin in seconds!
Advantages: Lasts well, blends in perfectly, even finish, leaves skin really velvety, SPF 6
Disadvantages: Slightly more pricey than other foundations
...I have to admit, I do like my makeup, and I enjoy experimenting with different products - but I also LOVE it when you find that one product that you can't live without.
For me, foundation is the one make-up product I could not go out without - I think it just gives a complete 1 minute transformation... IF you get it right.
This foundation is great - I first tried it a couple of years ago, after a recommendation from a friend. It goes on so well and is really smooth, and really does the trick.
Personally, I use this as my evening foundation for going out. Although I love my every day foundation (Boots No 7 Essential Moisture Foundation in 'Buff'), I prefer something a bit darker for eveningwear, to add a bit more colour. The Boots No 7 Intelligent Colour foundation comes in a range of 3 colours - light, medium and dark.
Although I am...

No Fuss, No Mess, Just Colour
Advantages: Quick and simple
Disadvantages: No major drawbacks
...I have been having my hair trimmed regularly for some time now and every time that I walk out of the hairdressers door I have promised myself a colour to brighten up my fast greying hair.
Part of me says that is vanity but there is another part of me that says that not only does a colour inject a little life into your hair it seems to make my skin look brighter too.
For me the major drawback is setting aside time to `be bothered`, doesn't that sound awful!
But the more I think about sitting about with my hair dripping with cold colourant the less likely I am going to be bothered to go out and buy one!
The last time I coloured my hair I made a big mistake ? No, I will correct that statement, a HUGE mistake. I bought one of the new permanent ten minute colours. In theory a brilliant and innovative idea, in practise for me it meant...

No 7 Intelligent Colour Foundation
Advantages: Silky smooth application, nice glow, only need small amounts
Disadvantages: Does not cover blemishes as well as mouse foundation
...I received this foundation as part of a free gift (for spending over a certain amount on no 7 products). I have very fair skin and it can get quite oily also, especially if I am out and about. I keep this tester sized foundation in my handbag as it is quite handy for when I am caught out, but it will not be able to replace my no 7 mouse foundation, which is absolutely excellent and has lasted me ages as well.
The no 7 intelligent colour foundation goes on a treat- it is silky and does not feel oily at all. As the one I have was part of a gift, I did not get to choose the colour and was worried it would not match my skin tone (which is very, very fair!) However, I found, using small amounts of this product, that it does blend quite well and even in the medium shade, works well with my skin tone (although it could be a little lighter, it...

No 7 Intelligent Colour Foundation
Advantages: Lives up to all the hype, lasts a long time, not too expensive for such a quality product
Disadvantages: None
...I was quite wary of No.7 Intelligent Colour Foundation at first - how can three shades match every skin colour? I searched for it on Ciao, and came across a bundle of opinions, all praising this product. I bought it. I should really stop reading beauty ops, it's making me poor!
I hurried into Boots, and picked up a tube of this, but spotted the huge 'SPEND £15 ON NO.7 PRODUCTS AND GET 500 ADVANTAGE POINTS.' This was £12 anyway, so I picked up a toner and went to pay for it, forgetting completely to test the foundation.
At £12, this foundation isn't the cheapest on the market, but it's not the most expensive by any means. It comes in a slim black tube, with gold writing and a screw on lid. It's quite non-descript really, nothing special about it, but it's acceptable. There is 40ml in the tube.
It promises to be a 'super...

No colour
Advantages: none
Disadvantages: no colour and a hole in my purse
...Last year I bought two boxes of this, about 4 or 5 months apart. The reason for this is that the first colour I tried didn't work AT ALL. I followed the instructions to the letter, and i didn't fit into any of the cautions, so i was really looking forward to a "two dimensional" glimmering colour. I tried purple black the first time, and blue black the second time. I have quite dark brown hair to start with, and i didn't envision any problems. I spent ages bent over the bath rinsing the stuff out, but when my hair was dry there was hardly any colour there at all. The slightly red tinge (although i didn't buy red) vanished after 2 or 3 washes. I was mightily miffed, as this is an expensive product. I did try again, as I said, and had even less results, there was absolutely no colour in my hair after dying it at all. I would even hazard...

Intelligent Colour for Those with Perfect Skin
Advantages: Changes to match your own skin tone, feels nice
Disadvantages: Doesn't conceal anything or give any kind of coverage
...do.
It doesn't change exactly to the colour of my skin, but it is very close, it just looks ever so slightly darker than my skin, but I think it's such a small difference that only I notice it, my friends have all said they can't tell a difference at all. It does look very natural, but because it adapts to your skin tone it doesn't conceal anything, if you have spots or other blemishes this will not cover them as it will just adapt to their colour as well, so they will look no different. The coverage is very sheer indeed, in fact I think unless you have perfect skin to start with, this foundation will not do anything for you except maybe make your skin look and feel slightly smoother.
It doesn't feel like it's clogging my pores when I wear it and it does seem to last all day, but it's hard to tell really because you can't really see...

Easy natural colour
Advantages: Only one coat needed, big bottle
Disadvantages: Starts to peel after a few days
...I generally prefer to use neutral nail colours during the day for a subtle but neat look at work. After having tried numerous peachy coloured nail varnishes in the past I feel I have finally found one I think I will stick with.
I first bought this No.7 nail colour when I got a £5 voucher for any No7 products at Boots. The nail varnish was £6.25 which meant I got it for a bargain. The packaging is subtle and classy which I liked. The colour I chose was Nougat, which is a peachy natural colour.
My Experience
The nail varnish was very easy to apply. The nail varnish has quite a thick quality, but still sweeps easily onto the nail. Because it is thick it means the colour becomes obvious straight away, which I was pleased with after having tried nail varnishes which required about 5coats for the colour to show!
Because...

Max Factor Colour Adapt Foundation
Advantages: Evens skin tone, looks quite natural, a little goes a long way
Disadvantages: Caused me to break out, encouraged oilyness, didn't stay on amazingly long
...counter. I told her my budget, what my skin tends to be like, how much coverage I wanted and how often I'd be using foundation. For those who'd like to know (and I already explained my skin at the beginning), it went something like this:
- £10-£15 Budget.
- Medium to full coverage.
- I use foundation practically every day.
She recommended Max Factor Colour Adapt, it was around £11 and she happily went into detail about it. It has no SPF but you can easily sort that out by using moisturiser first, it's quite a liquidy consistancy and you only need to use a pea sized amount, it sets almost powder like. Sounded great to me, so I went ahead and got it.
So, Amy, what was it like?
Well, Ciao, I've been using this for around 2 weeks now and it definitely evened out my skin tone; even brought a bit more colour to my face without it looking...

Colour Adapt Foundation?
Advantages: good pump on bottle to aid application, long ;asting
Disadvantages: hard to blend, quite thick
...sufficient coverage. I also found it incredibly difficult to blend, I felt like it was obvious that it had been applied. Once applied, I did find that the colour was a little too light, however the next shade up was definitely too dark for me. The foundation did last a long time though, although I didn't completely achieve the avoidance from the greasy look once it starts wearing off that I'd hoped for. It was also easily removed.
Overall, this product wasn't for me. It did feel good quality though so I wouldn't completely tell people to avoid it, it just didn't suit my skin tone and type....

The Ultimate Colour Choice for Nails!
Advantages: Goes On Easily
Disadvantages: Smell
...I popped into Boots at Central Station on the way to work the other morning to buy some hankies but being the bargain hunter I am, I noticed they were selling some stock off from their clearance lines, included was certain shades belonging to the No.7 Ultimate Nail Colour range, I managed to purchase Dusky Pink at ½ the normal price, making it only £2.87,a bit of a bargain for No.7 nail varnish me thinks and who am I to refuse?
Coming in an average sized 15ml square shaped glass bottle, you can clearly see the light candy pinkish colour of the polish itself through the bottle, coming with a black square plastic screw top lid embossed with the well known gold No.7 logo, with an attached brush, which seems reasonably long enough to make it easier to paint those nails.
The bottle looks fairly elegant with the No.7 logo standing out...
