...I can't say I was initially impressed when I received this perfume as a birthday gift: knowing and loving the original Miss Dior so well, and always sceptical of 'updated versions' of classic fragrances, I couldn't see how Dior could improve on what was, after all, the house's very first fragrance. Yet I confess to having been captivated by Miss Dior Cherie. **First Impressions** What a beautiful bottle! This is surely where the influence of the original Miss Dior is most apparent: Cherie features the same embossed dog tooth design, both on the box and on the underside of the bottle. Christian Miss Dior Cherie - The Fruity Perfume

Advantages: a lovely light fuirty, youthful smell ideal for summer
Disadvantages: not deep enough scent for evening use

...you put it one it's not going to be unnoticable in no time at all. Especially when you shell out over £40 on it! However it is not the kind on duel purpose perfume that you can leave on after work and go out for a night on the tiles. It's a bit too fruity for that and if you did go out with it you'd just smell like a 14 yr old girl. Not very attractive. Overall a 5 star rating - lovely perfume very fresh and delicate. If you're still not sure just pick up a sachet from your local dior counter or ask for a sample from Boots. In my opinion one of the best summer scents around this year and definately worth checking out....

The Missing Scarecrow

Advantages: Good book for fans of the TV Show

...eating her seeds? MY OPINION This is a fantastic book for fans of Balamory as the book follows the way in which the TV series is laid out. Miss Hoolie starts and also ends the book and asks the same questions about what coloured house do we think people will be visiting and also she reminds us at the end of the book exactly what happened. The book is nice and bright and the characters have been made into cartoon form for the illustrations but they all do have a very good resemblance to the characters in the television series so children should have no problems in recognising them. The words are in black lettering through out the book so they stand out on the pages. The story has been written in nice simple words so even young children should be able to follow the story with ease and they will also stay interested with the help...

...I recently signed up to one of these sites where you can get DVD's sent to you in the post. Perfect as now I don't even need to leave the home to get new DVD's to watch! This time I got send Miss Potter. I had put this on my list as I was a fan of her books as a child. My sister had the whole little box set and I loved the stories. She also lived in later life in Windermere in the Lake District, which I have spent some time at as a child as my family lives very near the Lake District. This provided some more interest for me. The film was released in 2006 and has been available on DVD for a while now. The story of Miss Potter is based around Beatrix Potter herself who is played by Renee Zellweger. ...How do you write a useful opinion on a perfume for someone who?s never smelt it? The answer is you probably can?t, but I?ll try anyhow. Firstly and most important, if you?ve never tried Chanel No5, DO NOT BUY IT UNTIL YOU?VE TESTED IT. This may seem a bit pedantic but I?m only telling you so you don?t waste your money buying a perfume which, when worn, may not suit you. I love the smell of Coco in the bottle, but whenever I try to wear it, it smells like cat pee. That?s the thing with perfumes. They really do smell different on different people. ...Chanel No. 5 will always remain a controversial perfume. Although used and praised for decades it's still a love or hate fragrance. I think it's because of aldehydes, the most important constituents of this fragrance. They possess a waxy, fatty smell that often makes think on washed and dried clothe. Aldehydes are found in nature (for example in a citrus peel), but never in amounts used in Chanel No. 5. That makes this smell a bit unnatural from one side, but it also gives an interesting exotic twist. In my opinion EDP is much softer than EDT version - the aldehydes are less sharp and the floral bouquet is more prominent. On my skin it starts with a fresh citrus note that slightly fades into a floral hart of orange blossom, rose and jasmine. An ultimate feminine bouquet, but modernized with waxy sharpness of the aldehydes...
