I'm sure everyone's seen or at least heard of Disney's Toy Story movie which is about toys coming to life when the humans are not around. This is a video game following the storyline and creating fun levels to play. I'd had bought this years ago when I was younger and had promptly given up after becoming stuck on one of the earlier levels, four to six years later and a pound sign next to the title on Ciao! (It's all about the money) I'm loading up the game on my laptop...

"Toys" For All Ages
Advantages: Great humor and non-stop adventure.
Disadvantages: You should not operate heavy machinery while watching this show!
...This movie brings out the inner child in me! When I first saw this movie, my aspiration became to one day work in an awesome toy factory like the one in this show. Robin Williams is absolutely hilarious as Leslie (Williams) embarks on an childlike adventure with his strange yet comedic sister (Joan Cusack) as they try to bring back the joy and purity of their father's toy factory after it is taken over by their uncle (a stern military man). You will relive your dreams and fantasies as you experience the kind of toys that most of us wished we had. From dolls and stuffies, to war toys and videos games - it's all here! Have you ever seen a Sea Swine or Hurly Burly Helicopters or Maui Waui Fake Vomit or a Woozy Helmet? If you haven't you've got to see this show. It is a totally goofy and crazy flick that will have you laughing out...

Play with the Toys not Groceries!
Advantages: Great value for money.
Disadvantages: Only the larger Tesco stores stock them.
...* Prices and Range *
On Tesco's web site, or in smaller stores, you cannot buy the wide range of products that you would expect to find in a good toy shop.
Their web site will only help you choose children?s books by age range or price, also DVDs, CDs and computer games aimed at children.
We live near one of the largest Tesco stores, and went there yesterday to do our grocery shopping, but also had a look round the toy section for Christmas presents.
They had the sort of presents you could find on line, as mentioned above, but also a wide variety of other toys for all ages.
Because of the time of day we went, there were lots of mums with pre-school children, whose children were showing a great deal of interest in the very reasonably priced Tesco?s own brand toys.
There were toys for older children in their own brand...

Tesco Toys
Advantages: prices are good, can be ordered mail order too, good choice
Disadvantages: limited maybe in smaller stores
...I have been very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the toys for the prices that they are sold at in Tesco.
They sell a fair range of toys. I find they are very definately for boys or for girls, don't do such a range of unisex toys (in my branch anyway).
I have a son, and I have bought quite a lot of his toy cars and cuddlies (when baby) from here.
The best value in my eyes is the wooden train sets. Trains/carriages are 99p each (they are the magnetic sort) and you can either buy a basic figure of eight track or a larger set that has trees, people, cows etc in.
They have a wide range of accessories like - tunnel, level crosing, ticket office/station (with sounds), platform, turntable etc. The extra's start from about £3 each and are not that expensive. You can also buy extra packs of track, both curved and straight...

Chanel No. 5 - eternal Femininity.
Advantages: sensual and feminine floral hart, good staying powder
Disadvantages: aldehydes - not everyone is used to this smell; can be found old-fashioned
...Chanel No. 5 will always remain a controversial perfume. Although used and praised for decades it's still a love or hate fragrance. I think it's because of aldehydes, the most important constituents of this fragrance. They possess a waxy, fatty smell that often makes think on washed and dried clothe. Aldehydes are found in nature (for example in a citrus peel), but never in amounts used in Chanel No. 5. That makes this smell a bit unnatural from one side, but it also gives an interesting exotic twist.
In my opinion EDP is much softer than EDT version - the aldehydes are less sharp and the floral bouquet is more prominent. On my skin it starts with a fresh citrus note that slightly fades into a floral hart of orange blossom, rose and jasmine. An ultimate feminine bouquet, but modernized with waxy sharpness of the aldehydes...

Tesco Toys; Shameless Ploy to Add to Our Bill?
Advantages: Unbeatable Prices, Bright Colours, Strong Designs
Disadvantages: Limited Ranges in Each Age Group, Quickly Adds Up
...that few popular products are included.
But what if it's convenience that appeals to you over prices? Well then picking up new toys and games for your children along with your weekly shop will certainly save you an awful lot of time and hassle. No need to waste your Saturdays trapsing round the shops when you can whizz up and down the toy aisle in Tesco grabbing things to pop in your trolley as you go about picking up your groceries. In most Tesco Extra stores you'll find the toy section conveniently layed out for easy browsing. Interactive toys that children can try out are usually placed on the lower shelves (keeps 'em quiet while you read the back of the box) with expensive or easily damaged toys placed higher up out of reach of small hands. You should find most stores lay out their toys so that you have baby toys on one aisle...

Entertaining travel toy!

... Background
When Baby Hope was little she used to cry every time I put her in her car seat. I used to hate putting her in only to hear her little cry. I used to feel so guilty so I decided I should try to make her car seat time more fun for her so I headed off to Toys r Us in search of a toy or something which I could fasten to the handle of the car seat so she could see it and interact with it.
I came across this Garden Friends Curly Toy and just couldn't resist it for it was so bright and colourful and really very appealing.
The toy
This is basically a strip of curly soft rings which you can wrap around the handles of your car seat or your pram or cot. It pulls apart as it is velcroed in the middle which helps to attach it on to places. It has a flower at each end and then 3 toys hanging off the rings by black...

Excellent teething toy and safe
Advantages: Natural rubber, natural dyes, easy to hold, pleasant patterns, suitable for newborns, safe
Disadvantages: Not every parent can afford it
...Last year when my younger son was born I started to look for a natural BPA-free teething ring. I discovered Sophie the Giraffe while doing research on the Internet. It is made from soft natural rubber (phtalate-free) and is hand painted with food grade dyes. I would say that I could not find a teething toy better than Sophie. I wish I knew about it a few years ago when my older son was a baby. So, I started to teach my baby son how to hold it when he was probably two or three months old. Then I showed him how he could put it into his mouth and rub his gums. Funny thing that babies learn very quickly what to put into their mouths :)
The Giraffe as itself is an excellent idea for teething because you can chew any part of it whether an ear, a leg or antenna. And you do not have to worry about chemicals. It has a long neck and slim legs...

Try some new toys!
Advantages: Great for all ages with loyalty rewards
Disadvantages: None for me
...I am a self confessed huge geek...yes its shameful at 22, but show me a comic character or a transforming robot, and I'm happy, add lightsabers and online gaming and you have me giddy with excitement and childlike grinning! This leads me too...
"Smyth's" is a chain of toy stores that are across the country. My local one is on the Sterling Corner roundabout in Borehamwood, and as such all views and opinions in this review are based on this shop.
What do they sell?
-----------------------
As I said above Smyth's is a toy store that is very similar to Toys R Us, they stock a large amount of toys and play equipment for children (and adults *cough*) in store.
Anything from dress up sets, Barbie's and doll houses to action man, transformers figurines and basketball hoops, all are available in store. The shop also has a range...

Match those animals with orchard toys dominoes
Advantages: well made . good educational game
Disadvantages: none
...Looking for something to buy a child who is aged between 3 and 6 years old? Then this game of farmyard dominoes might just do the trick. This is an Orchard toy available at http://www.orchardtoys.com. I imagine it will be available in a good toy store too. This toy costs £6
Inside a card box with pictures of some of the dominoes are 28 dominoes. There are enough dominoes for up to 4 children to play this game. Also included is an instruction sheet.
The dominoes are made of a very thick card, they are difficult to bend. The surface can be wiped clean with a damp cloth if necessary.
The domino is a flat rectangular shape. Each domino has 2 bright coloured pictures on it, a bright single coloured back ground and a simplified easy to recognize bright picture of a farm yard animal. There are pigs and hens, dogs, cows, cats, sheep...
