...Chanel No. 5 will always remain a controversial perfume. Although used and praised for decades it's still a love or hate fragrance. I think it's because of aldehydes, the most important constituents of this fragrance. They possess a waxy, fatty smell that often makes think on washed and dried clothe. Aldehydes are found in nature (for example in a citrus peel), but never in amounts used in Chanel No. 5. That makes this smell a bit unnatural from one side, but it also gives an interesting exotic twist. In my opinion EDP is much softer than EDT version - the aldehydes are less sharp and the floral bouquet is more prominent. On my skin it starts with a fresh citrus note that slightly fades into a floral hart of orange blossom, rose and jasmine. An ultimate feminine bouquet, but modernized with waxy sharpness of the aldehydes...

...How do you write a useful opinion on a perfume for someone who?s never smelt it? The answer is you probably can?t, but I?ll try anyhow. Firstly and most important, if you?ve never tried Chanel No5, DO NOT BUY IT UNTIL YOU?VE TESTED IT. This may seem a bit pedantic but I?m only telling you so you don?t waste your money buying a perfume which, when worn, may not suit you. I love the smell of Coco in the bottle, but whenever I try to wear it, it smells like cat pee. That?s the thing with perfumes. They really do smell different on different people. ...This was a very strange book and one that I picked up as I was intrigued by the title and the fact that the author was Anonymous. According to the blurb on the back of the book this was originally self-published on the internet. The plot centres around (unsurprisingly) "The Book With No Name" - a book which if read leads to the death of the reader. I thought this sounded quite interesting but the mysterious book is not as central as you would assume from the premise. The other main plot focus is on the retrieval of a precious stone known as "The Eye of the Moon". This stone is rumoured to have magical powers and is guarded by a group of monks known as Hubals who live on an island. ...Deal or no deal is my favorite game show, it is currently on channel 4 early in the evening or late in the afternoon for some, i love watching this and find it very entertaining. The show is presented by Noel Edmonds and is filmed in Bristol.
