...Nokia 6230i Silver Grey I had one of these as my last phone which I have just replaced with a newer more updated model of Nokia. Throughout the time I had my 6230i I loved it, it was reliable, durable and I never had a single problem with it for well over a year. I dropped it millions of times and still it never broke apart from the case scratching. It was easy to use and understand and had lots of features and settings that I found useful and fun which made me definitely want another Nokia after this model About the 6230i Features It has lots of different features including *1.3 mega-pixel camera with 3 x digital zoom, I found this camera brilliant for a phone camera and took many pictures with it, it had a night mode which helped make pictures a better quality in the dark all those these weren't brilliant...

...The Nokia 6230i is an awesome mobile phone. It has excellent capabilities and can meet everybody's needs. As I own one of these phones I find that they are excellent and can do pretty much anything that I want it to. Nokia 6230i - A Fab New Toy

Advantages: New for 2005 packed with new gadgets and the memory to support it
Disadvantages: Fiddly to use the keypad, expensive if it's not a free upgrade

...able to flip the phone shut so I don't call my parents inadvertently from my bag convincing my mother she is witnessing my murder over the phone. So when the Nokia 6230i arrived I was a little disappointed to find it bigger than my previous Samsung, and no flip lid so I toyed with the idea of giving it to 'him indoors' and holding onto my old one. But it only weighs 99g and when I turned it on I started appreciating all the upgrades and advances. Now, I'm probably only ever going to use about 1/8 of this phones gadgets and subsections, so if you're expecting a 100% run down and regurgitation of the phone's handbook you're going to be disappointed and probably grade me as 'somewhat helpful but marks off for not being very thorough'. ...My Experience? The Nokia 6230i was my second modern generation mobile phone. After owning its predecessor, the Nokia 6610i I enjoyed twice as many major features such as the MP3 player and blue-tooth capability. Though the 6230i is slightly heavier and bulkier, it does redeem itself because this is needed to host its amazing capabilities. Structure? The 6230i looks bulkier than others of its family but its length is considerably shorter, making it easier to fit into pockets and cases. The entire surface is occupied by useful features; no space is wasted or used inappropriately. The 65k screen (61k more than the 6610i) inhabits a 3cm by 3cm area, much larger than the previous model. Nokia 6230i -used it, then went back to my K700i

Advantages: quality camera,expandable memory,excellent software,security options
Disadvantages: unstable bluetooth,poor radio,navigation joystick,connectivity settings

...I recently 'upgraded' (?) my phone from a Sony Ericsson K700i to a Nokia 6230i. The main reasons I changed are: according to the specs, the nokia can do everything my K700i could AND it has a memory card slot (expandable upto 512mb) and a higher quality camera. The 6230i certainly has a huge range of features:- 1.3mp camera, mp3 player, media player, memory expansion, variety of messaging options (text, mms, email, instant messaging etc), enhanced GPRS, infrared, xHTML browser, bluetooth, FM radio, PC suite software and much more. The majority of the features work extremely well and together with the excellent software should make this phone worth the £200+ price tag. ...Had my Nokia 6230i now for around 13 months. I find it a good looking phone that is really easy to use, i'm not the greatest with technology and am one of these people who really does need the manual. My experience is that when the phone is on loud speaker it does sound like it echos a bit, but is fine with a hands free set. I did have a problem with the loud speaker once in the sense that it stopped working all together, but a phone call to my phone provider sorted that out I had a delivery time of 3 slots am, pm and evening up to 10pm. I choose 10pm for the next evening and true to form my delivery man was there at my door, took the front off my phone and gave him it and he gave me a brand new front. Easy!! It comes with a memory card but gets slow the more pictures and music you add to your phone, although you can buy...

...I originally had the nokia 6230 but I dropped it and it broke. I loved the phone so much I decided to buy the nokia 6230i. It is pretty much the same as the 6230 but has a few upgraded features. The phone itself has a fair size internal memory for storing photos and videos etc. But, as I learnt from when I broke my other these are all lost if the phone breaks, so i tend to use the memory card for saving anything. The features on this phone are brilliant, the camera quality is good (for a mobile phone) and has all sorts of other features like bluetooth, games, calculator etc. As with all nokias, the phone is easy to use, and the manuals are very informative. ...The Nokia 6230i shares the same looks as the original 6230. It is the same size and very similar in weight. I realise that statement sounds like sales blurb but to me it was very important, all my accessories, car kit, Bluetooth, desk stand all work with the new 6230i saving me the expense of purchasing new accessories. The new 6230i focuses on improving existing features of the 6230 and I feel this is something that it has achieved very successfully. The screen is slightly bigger, however the resolution has increased massively, making text clearer and the phone look more refined.
