...Nokia 5500 Sport In a nut shell : Candybar type phone, lightweight, durable, packed to the brim with user freindly features, Good camera, good sounds. Features : Well to start with its got a groovy wee torch, that you can turn on from a single button press ( no fumbling around in menus etc ). Its got Bluetooh, infrared, and a microSD memory card slot, which can take up to 1gb, although I have heard rumours that a 2gb can be used ( not tried it yet though ). A 2mpg camera and a radio and a pedometer (step counter). It also has a speech thing that narrates your text messages to you whilst you are out and about. In music mode you can tap the phone and it changes tracks etc. It`s the same in sports mode, by tapping it does various other things. So, should you get a 5500? It depends on what you want. ...This phone is great if your you are always dropping your phone like me. I have dropped this one quite a few times with no ill effects whereas previous phones i have had have just smashed on contact with the ground, I put this down to it having a robust body and being very sterile built. The phone is also dust resistant and has a sealed case which is good because nothing cab get into the phone but it leave no room for personalization because the case of the phone can't be changed .Nokia mainly aimed the phone at the building trade but its a good phone for anyone. ...THe Nokia 5500 Sport Music Edition is a good phone to own for those who tend to put their phone through a lot. Mine has had to put up with being bounced around building sites, often sharing a pocket with keys, mud, pens, damp etc, and nothing has gone wrong with it yet. The Mp3 player and sound quality are amazing and useful considering the size of the gadget and remarkably easy to use. THe torch is a nice considerate and very useful gadet along with the navigator, GPS system. The operating system has the traditional ease of use that Nokia provides and has caused me no issues what so ever. It contains all the functions that I need although I do feel that the camera leaves a little more to be desired, but hey, a normal camera would probably have broken moths ago the amount of abuse my phone gets given. ...Really a good phone that however is too complex to really be that good. Pros: - Loads of features. - Nice and sturdy design. - Best camera I have ever seen in a phone. - Best sound quality I have ever experienced in a phone. - Good software for communication with PC. Cons: - Too complex, really; too many features. - Keypad hard to use without looking at it. - Though sturdy some of the plastic paint is of poor quality. - Too many buttons on the side of the device. All in all I have to say that this phone definetly puts Nokia in the lead when it comes to sturdy phones. But with that said I have to say I got quite disappointed when the paint on the navigation-key started peeling of. ...I can write on this topic with ease as I have had experience selling mobile phones. When looking for a network provider, you need to consider the cost of calls, you need to know if you will be charged for voice-mail retreival and if so how much, I sadly fall into this category as my service is provided by BTCellnet. Over the years as most of my friends have aqcuired mobile phones there is that constant copmlaint about how high their bill is, these are people who also have land lines and don't need to rely soley on a mobile for communication with the outside world, they are all either on One-2-One, Orange, or Vodafone, I on the other hand do not have a land-line so unless I am calling abroad I am at the mercy of my Nokia handset, but so far the highest bill ever sent my way was for 55.00 pounds sterling, and this was because I was moving... ...WARNING-this is rather long but I hope of some use! This is an absolutely wonderful phone! The 5500 sport is one of those phones you are amazed by! It has a music and sports facility which includes a pedometer (of all things) and is a bit like a mini computer in your hand. Now I'm not saying this is anything along the lines of the all singing all dancing N95 or IPhone, but for this money… it's well worth a look. Amazingly the phone comes with a stainless steel casing which is grey in colour & is shock, dust & water resistant. Word of warning…. Due to the construction of this casing it is a known problem that the rubber keypad often falls off, it's happened to me twice and 02 have repaired for me on both occasions with no questions asked, but it can be a pain! ...The Voodoo5 5500 is a brilliant graphics card. The range of features is impressive as is the speed. One particularly impressive thing was the stability of the early drivers. Many other cards have problems with drivers until a few months after release. It may be the fact that the card was heavily delayed due to manufacuring problems that has allowed the driver programmers to catch up and fix potential bugs. The Full Scene Anti Aliasing features on the card are stunning. the Voodoo can render a scene and remove all the jagged edges on objects on any game, whether it was written for the V5 or not. As more games are written for the card it is bound to shine. Buy one ;)... Read review

...To follow on from my opinion on my Bosch washing machine, I turn now to it's partner in grime, the Bosch WTL5500. This was the first time I had bought a standalone tumble dryer, and I was instantly faced with a dilemma - what on earth was a 'condensing' tumble dryer when at home ? A helpful salesman soon explained to me that my washer dryer had effectively been a condensing machine, as I didn't need to worry about large air hoses to vent the warm, damp air. I decided to go for a condensing machine in the WTL5500, even going for the optional extra of a hose to automatically drain the collection reservoir - next to zero maintenance.
