Nokia 6600 review
Advantages: Huge list of features
Disadvantages: Not the best battery life, not the smallest phone
...it to download anything to the phone such as ringtones, pictures, videos, themes, applications, games and much more, most of which can be found for free on the internet. This is much better than paying silly prices by purchasing things slowly over GPRS. The nokia 6600 PC suite even allows you to convert MP3 files into realtones which sound very good before transfering them to the phone to set as a ring tone. This is a feature i think is very clever. Though the phone doesn't support MP3 playback as standard, you can download software to make it do this if you so wish, though i personally would rather use my ipod or psp and a good pair of headphones. The infra-red connection on this phone is also very good, though much slower and you have to line the ports up to make it work. It seems to work about 20cm away from the other device. The best...

a sleek modern phone
Advantages: great music and accesories
Disadvantages: none for me as yet
...After looking endlessly for a new phone as my contract was due for renewal at the end of the month I came accross the new nokia 6600 fold and liked it straight away.
I have always liked folding phones as cannot seem get on with these sliding phones and nokia has always been a firm favourite of mine so for me it was a win win situation. Once ordered it arrived the following day by courier.
I was with 3 and did look to go with a different company but in the end I found that 3 was giving the best offer for this phone so decided to stay with them.
My contract is for 18 months and I chose the 300 mix and match which gives me 300 minutes, I then decide how I would like them so I chose to have 250 anytime minutes and 50 texts per month. If you want more in your package you can choose the higher bands but for me the package deal...

Nice small sturdy flip phone.
Advantages: Sturdy, hidden outer display
Disadvantages: Autoflip not always useful.
...I got this phone on when extending my o2 contract a few months ago. I just asked for a flip phone that would easily fit in my pocket and that was quick for making calls and sending texts. I managed to get the 6600 fold on a £20 a month contract without having to pay any extra for the phone.
Its got the standard mobile bits and bobs that you expect to find nowadays. It also has colour display with 16M colours, 2 MegaPixel camera with flash, MicroSD slot upto 4GB, FM radio.
The main ?feature? of this phone that gets shouted about in the advertising is the hidden display in the outside. Two taps on this shows information about missed calls, received texts messages etc and what I like, what time it is. I've always liked flip phones but its been annoying to either loose battery by leaving the time displayed constantly, or opening it just...

Nokia 6600 - The new flagship phone.
Advantages: Wide range of features. Conventional design, wide support software-wise
Disadvantages: Bulky, improvements only cosmetic
...Hi, thanks for taking the time to read this review. Feel free to leave your ratings or comments!
INTRODUCTIONS
Nokia are a company in transition. Gone were the days when solid, sleek phones such as the Nokia 8210 and 8310 were released. A new design team released new experimental designs; it?s no co-incidence that Nokia?s relative market share has decreased, with the public favouring the ?silver flip-phone?; whose popularity has grown in abundance.
The Nokia 6600 brings a return to conventionalism, a standard keypad layout and look means this will appeal to the mass-market. It?s the follow-up to the Nokia 3650 handset; a device which was popular but it?s look put many off.
As a side note, Nokia have really promoted this handset aggressively. Prime-time advertising has been used, a tactic which is uncommon for Nokia. But as...

Nokia 6600, ( the best has been beaten.) Damn !
Advantages: Cool design, big and beautiful, and it's a phone as well !
Disadvantages: None yet !!!
...into the Orange shop, to have a look and see what was on offer.......................I scanned the racks , and spotted the 6600.........mmmmmm nice and big, nice shape, good weight to it, ( must be good quality ! ). Said to the salesman ...... I'll have that one please. Signed the contract , for .....another year, and off I went.
I must admit I was a bit worried about operating the thing as it is packed with so many fetures, but , to my suprise, I find the operation instinctive. If you've owned Nokia's before, you'll have no trouble with this one. I would say that this one is easier than the older models, especially with the central ' navi button ' which eases you around the main functions. Up down, left, right, and press to click on the chosen icon.
The main menu is acessed by pressing the blue under the main green send button. This...

Nokia 6600 - Is it for you?
Advantages: Small, Advanced, Light weight
Disadvantages: Crashes, Video Length (9secs)
...I purchased the Nokia 6600 in mid February 2004 from 02 on contract. I chose the phone as I had read many good reviews and enjoyed the large range of features.
Since I have bought the phone I have had few problems, but nothing worth writing about although I have heard of many 6600's with software faults. A friend of mine is now on his 3rd 6600 due to these.
Features:
Colour Screen - The colour screen is absolutely superb! A lot of detail can be seen and the colours are very vibrant. I cannot praise the screen enough! No complaints there.
Speakers - The speakers on the Nokia 6600 are brilliant. You can get some really superb quality audio and they can be quite loud indeed. The quality of the speakers means you can add music to the phone and play to your heart's content! 10/10
Camera - The camera is overall very good...

Nokia Delights Featuring the Superb 6600
Advantages: 65536 Colour Display Camera/Video Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Lots of features
Disadvantages: Buttons can be an annoyance, Takes a while to get used to if you have come from a previous nokia
...Introduction to the Nokia 6600-
Here we have the Nokia 6600 mobile phone with integrated digital camera which can capture images up to 640x480 resolution and display them nicely on its 65536 colour screen. This phone is a very smart/attractive mobile. It can feel like a fashion accessory especially when people say to me "cool phone what features does it have?". Its a great piece of kit that fits nicely in your pocket or bag. You will undoubtedly enjoy the neverending features of the 6600 with the software additions that you can purchase. The phone has all the regular nokia features with lots more additions!
Size/outer features-
It does feel slightly bulkier if you have previously been used to smaller mobiles, although the size of the phone makes up for the features and software it incorporates. It has a nice easy feel to it...

Nokia 6600 - Affordable Functionality
Advantages: Functionality, durability, camera quality
Disadvantages: Fiddly keypad, joystick, bulky size
...I picked up this phone second hand 3 months ago (July 2005) in an exchange store in town. The phone itself set me back £80 for just the unit itself and a charger, the price for the full set of box/instructions was around £110.
The 6600 is the same as all other Nokias, a very simple phone to operate, and I could perform all the functions of the phone with just a few minutes trial - the fact that the phone came with no instructions is testament to it's simplicity.
The signal on the phone is perfect aside from a quiet background noise (though this my be due to damage done by it's previous owner), and the quality of the camera and video is excellent. The 6600 has all the usual features; calculator, currency convertor, GPRS internet, bluetooth and more, which for the money I feel are excellent value. I've dropped this phone more times...
